My 1,5 year old dog, Toffee, is quite a handful. But just one day of daycare at La Brie Kennels and Cattery seems to have made all the difference! We have now signed Toffee in for a full day of play and training twice a week for the next little while, and know we wont regret it!

Very friendly staff and people w hi o work there. They go the distance to make sure the dogs will be at good homes. The adoption fee is about R1000 definitely cheaper then some of your other shelters or recue shelters.

Meghan and Shannon went the extra mile with Bubbles. We collected a happy and stress free fur baby from them. Id recommend La Brie Kennels any day to anyone who has to kennel their fur babies.

We went, as fate and coincidences led us to a Border Collie called Storm (we had a Border Collie called Storm long ago), but there was no real connection with him; so we ended up adopting another Border Collie called Bailey. The people at LA Brie are friendly, yet professional, and were grateful that they introduced us to Bailey.

We visited the Collie Rescue Centre attached to La Brie and came home a week later with a beautiful new puppy. One of the reasons was the cleanliness of the venue, the informative caregivers and the manner in which they cared for the rescues - dogs they knew would only be in their care for a short while. Simply put, they are impressive!

An amazing place for any dog to stay if you are out of town. Our dog came back smelling fresh and looked so happy and well looked after when we picked him up.

Excellent kennels! I can highly recommend La Brie - my dogs have been there a few times and have always really enjoyed their stay (its like their very own holiday too). I pick up two very happy, clean pooches after the holiday. I never have to worry about them - I know they are given the best care & love. La Brie knows, loves & cares for each dog individually and nothing is too much effort for them. The staff are always super friendly and most helpful too.

Animal facilities are well kept, clean, organized. Extremely caring and dedicated staff. Lots of love reached out to all who stay there..... Trust them to look after my animals any day

I can highly recommend La Brie Kennels & Cattery. They are the most efficient and diligent kennelling place I’ve dealt with to date. Ask the team to explain the kennelling options to you before booking, because there several to choose from.The team ensures that that all pets are up to date on their inoculations (including kennel cough prevention), and tick and flea control. This gave me great peace of mind knowing that it was very unlikely our dogs would pick up anything undesirable from the other animals boarded there.On check in the team take note of whether the animals become afraid during thunderstorms, any injuries, arthritis, or quirks your pet may have so that they can ensure the best possible stay for the animals and owners.The team are very professional and friendly. It’s a great feeling to know that your family will be taken care of while you are away.The Google listing is great as it clearly outlines the open and close times, and the Direction take you right to the place.For interest’s sake this is also the home of Border Collie Rescue.

This is a fantastic place where your can leave your pets, without any worries, when you want to go on holiday. Also awesome that they are assisting rescue centres to keep their dogs, whilst they wait for their forever homes. Thanks Guys.

Not impressed. They open at 8 and when we arrived at 8 the lady that greeted us was quite rude and told us we early yet there was already another couple before us. She was also in a rush to get on with the day and told me that they are busy and the workers are still arriving, but we can have a look around. My husband went for a short tour with one of the helpers and said she was even rushing him. If you open at 8 expect guests and rather let your staff start at 7. They did not have time for us so I dont imagine them having time for the animals. This kennel is a no no for me.

The kennels were clean. The animals all have lots of space to run and play. The staff are friendly and helpful. All of the animals seemed happy. We had a lot of fun volunteering and walking a group of dogs.

Very bad experience with my Yorkie.Had to take my dog immediately after picking her up to the vet.Feedback from kennels unacceptable.Not taking responsibility but blaming my dogs condition on the weather and employees not properly trained.I do have prove to backup my comment.No feedback from them when I asked them to settle my dogs VET bill.NOT A 4 STAR kennel be careful.

Border collie rescue - this is the home for border collie rescue as well as boarding for other dogsThe kennel is well maintained and neat. We adopted a border collie from here and its clear that the dogs receive great care while theyre there

Update after my dogs December 2019 stay at La Brie: My dog is a rescue. She is super sensitive to everything and requires someone to always keep a close eye. During the week she was kenneled there was really bad weather - it rained non-stop for 7 days and the sun didnt shine once. Knowing how sensitive my dog is to bad weather, the team at La Brie paid extra attention to her and kept a close eye. They also checked up on her every time there was thunder. They ensured she got all her anti-anxiety medicine in time and kept her in enclosed kennels to ensure she was safe. When I went to fetch her, .... she was perfectly FINE. In fact, her behavior at home actually improved! This really is a 5 star kennel!Update 30 September 2019. 12th stay for our doggy at La BRIE. As always we are super happy and impressed. We love the superb service and will always recommend La BRIE to everyone!Update 01 July 2019. Once again we are more than happy! Lucy was well taken care of and we are super impressed as always. Thank you La Brie team! We will never take her anywhere else.Update 18 December 2018 ... 10th stay done and dusted. Once again the La Brie team took exceptionally great care of Lucy. A big thank you. I am a very anxious pet parent, and my dog is also very anxious and shy. La Brie gives her extra special care and attention. I travel a lot and have kenneled my dog with La Brie seven times over the past 14 months. Every time I can see she has been taken care of exceptionally well. I will make use of them forever! It’s disappointing that, as caretakers of people’s beloved pets, La Brie were so unwilling to accommodate even the smallest request, one that would have taken 10 minutes out of someone’s day.I had planned to work halfday on Friday, 15 Dec, but was unable to get to them within their opening hours, due to unplanned client work. Although someone was at the kennel today, they still refused to accommodate me - I leave for the coast tomorrow at 3am.What kind of business, that makes money from people going on holiday, has such limited opening hours (9-11 and 4-6 the day everyone fisnishes at work) and closes their doors completely right when everyone is going on holiday. Public holiday or not.Either way, if their client service is anything to go by, I am terribly relieved that I didn’t leave my border collie with them and will absolutely not be using them in the future.Merry Christmas indeed!
