Prices, obviously high as are all major car brands, but the staff experience and friendly assistance makes up for that. True nissan parts is another great benefit.

How is it possible that Nissan can refuse to return a vehicle to its owner. The vehicle went in for a service under warranty. This is shocking and concerning. I will never buy a Nissan again

I gave one star because a 0 star was not an option.I bought a brand new Nissan X-Trail 2.5 CVT Tekna end of October 2019.From the beginning I suspected that the Intelligent Emergency Braking andIntelligent Forward Collision Warning was not working as it should.Take note there was no warnings displayed in the car. After forcing the dealership to investigate they ran a diagnostics and informed me there was a calibration problem. I immediately asked how can serious safety feature be faulty without any warnings? Also how was this new car released with the system not working? After a massive struggle they apparently re calibrated the system and was happy to give the car back to me. I immediately informed them im not satisfied that the system is working as advertised in the brochure and in the vehicle manual. I was told that they cant do anything further as the computer says the system is working. It is now 4 months later and Nissan is stalling in attending to this problem. This is totally unacceptable. They are happy for me and my family to continue driving this car with one of the critical safety features not working. I compare this to an airbag system that will only work 30% of the time. This is totally unacceptable.Ive requested all correspondence in writing and they blatantly refuse. One lady from customer care will every now and then call me with useless feedback.Ive asked to return the vehicle and get my money back no response.Ive also informed them this might be Country wide model problem and that more peoples lives is at risk. No response. It is clear to me that Nissan does not take their customers serious but worst of all that they have a total disregard for their customers safety.I hope prospective buyers of Nissan vehicles with this safety features do a proper test to ensure that they are working. Then a last note to Nissan, please dont call me and ask what the problem is. If someone is actually willing to follow up. Investigate the case and call me with proper feedback and solutions.

Be carefull when parking outside as its well known to have cars stollen or valuables stolen out of vehicle while security is less than 30m away from parking .

We are in the process of purchasing a brand new Nissan X-Trail 2017 model. Unfortunately, they are providing the Sat Nav with 2013 maps. They have stated they will try to install the 2015 version but I feel we are justified in requesting 2017 software. They have refused stating unavailiblity but also not willing to provide it free of charge once it becomes availible. The actual Nissan dealer selling us the car seem to have no control over this - their service has been brilliant! Im giving 2 stars because if nothing else, Nissan SA staff has been friendly. Car and dealer excellent but very disappointed in this aspect of our Nissan purchase.
