We really enjoyed our evening here. The manager checked on us frequently and the wait staff was on the ball, so we felt like VIPs. The food was exceptional, seasoned to perfection and flavourful with luxurious plating. The kitchen staff outdid themselves. We will definitely be returning! The route going to the cafe is very scenic and peaceful too.I only wish the chairs weren’t plastic, I think it’s the final touch to transform the restaurants feel to a more fine dining experience.
Its surprisingly a beautiful place and the menu is just great, the food is excellent and the views is absolutely gorgeous, deep in the lush green farm surrounded by nothing but rural beauty and clean air, the only downside is the gravel road, so 4x4 is highly recommended. They also allow dog on leash so thats an other reason to come out here for a lunch or dinner. The only thing I can think of is the seating, the seats are not comfortable and after a short while you can feel the hard seats, for a fine diner, they should have sofas all around the restaurant to add to the already excellent environment.
First time in a long time that I had such an amazing meal...definitely will go back.
A fantastic dining location away from the bright city lights. Great service akd even better food.
A reminder of why the Jacaranda city is one of the best places to live. Location is convenient located just of Lynnwood road heading East, beautiful garden setting with peacocks roaming free, ample parking, good food, fantastic host (Jenny) and impecable service (a big thank you to Ben John for the great service with a smile). Whether you want to enjoy lunch with the entire family, a quiet corner to spend quality time with a partner or an intimate birthday it is the perfect place to soak in the Tshwane summer. One of the gems in the capital.
Absolutely amazing place and fantastic experience. The food was really delicious (even with our dietary requirements!) would love going there again.
Fantastic, what a gem. Beautiful setting, excellent ,prompt service. Wonderfully home-cooked food, but with that extra special something . What a wonderful way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon
Good hospitality and vibe from the staff right from the start. The place had good social distancing and kids friendly too. The order was fairly quick when requested for our little one. The flavour of the food can be improved upon as it lacked a punch on your taste buds. But the presentation was very appealing for.
Always a lovely experience. Feels like a bit of the Cape Winelands came to visit Pretoria, a good reprieve from busy city life.

Great food and great service! There was not one dish out of the four of us that I could fault. Just really hearty food with great flavours! We also had a very attentive waiter.Just a really nice experience...thank you!
What a dream!!!We literally cannot find one fault with this restaurant. From the get go the service was great. We had the best waiter that have served me in my life.It was very difficult to choose what to eat as the restaurant offers a great variety, all of which sounds spectacular. Each dish has their own unique twist which contributes to the unique nature of the restaurant. They offer anything from gnocchi (a favourite) to pork belly, to fillet, to pizza, to the most amazing home made tin roof ice cream (no not the one from Woolworths). The food was fantastic. The flavors burst in my mouth and I could just feel them all float together to create one impeccable taste. The chef even personally came to check up on us.Overall I can officially rate this restaurant as the best Ive ever been.
Great little place. One of the best little venues in Pretoria East. Good for Sunday lunch. The garden is lovely and well kept. The quality of food is very good and very tasty. Ample parking space and clean bathrooms. Reservations are recommended here to avoid disappointment. Larger groups should definitely book well in advance. Coffee is very good. Did not try any dessert.
Great food, excellent service, friendly and efficient staff! Always a pleasant experience!!
Stunning wonderfull service,wonderfull food.Celebrated a double 21 st birthday.Wonderfull lunch.
Had lunch there yesterday,The friendliness of the staff from the time you enter till you leave is something to experienceService was excellent, they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortableFood was deliciousThank you everyone at Tin Roof Cafe for such a splendid pm on such a cold dayWill definitely be backT
Exceptional food and service. So beautiful
Like always, 10/10, 100/100, perfect and wonderful!Tin Roof has pizza Thursdays where you get 25% off of pizzas, and man was it worth it! The pizzas were well thought out, perfectly prepared and had a beautiful balance between the ingredients, contrary to other pizza places just chucking the ingredients on a pizza. For dessert we had the Pistachio Creme Brulee, which blew our minds away. It was absolutely to die for!We will definitely be back!
What a lovely place .... Pretty setting ...wonderful food and service !
Amazing food...and the atmosphere feels like you are in the countryside even though it is a short drive from the city...
This is a very special place. Feels like someone very friendly, and extremely capable in terms of catering for that matter, invited us into their home for dinner. The food is exceptional and even so much as the potato- chips get special attention. The tables are decorated with tulips and the staff really “on it”. Do come here to spoil someone, even if it’s yourself.
The place of good looking plates and tasty fine foods
We had a lovely evening at tin roof, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff was friendly and efficient.
We love Tin Roof! Jenny and her team are by far the best in Pretoria. The food is tasty and tastefully presented and the service you receive is definitely worth more than 5 stars.
Fabulous. Do order the TRC Ragu Pappardelle.
The most romantic restaurant in Pretoria. Amazing food and wine. Try get there before the sun goes down to experience the sunset views.
Very nice experience with excellent service and good food. Nice fire place where we were seated.

Thank you Tin Roof Cafe for the extra effort you put into our reservation. The service was friendly and the food was phenomenal! It was impressive how much care you took to ensure our group would be comfortable. We appreciate how you checked up before hand with options for us.The reception was warm and we were made to feel at home from the start. All our guests commented on what an amazing find your place is. We had a spectacular evening, and you attention to detail, be it in the food, service, or decor, made it so!We were suprized by the amazing quality of food at a very good price.Thank you! We will definitely come again!
Great food and service!Portions were slightly small.Would still highly recommend!
It was an amazing experience. Awesome location and atmosphere, excellent food and service. A must for anyone who loves fine dining.
Great service, warm ambiance and Pellie is one of our all time favorite chefs
Great food, hosts and atmosphere! Always worth the trip!
Food was delicious, deconstructed white choc mousse dessert overrated and expensive for what you got. nice setting.
Great ambiance, good service. Thanks Ben John.Jenny went out of her way to accommodate what I asked for.Much appreciated.Food was outstanding.Tin Roof Cafe.Highly recommended.
Did not live up to what the other reviews are saying... The food is sold at a premium price so as a customer one would expect a bit more quality i.e. chef prepared. Otherwise i might as well have gone to spur. Service from the waitor was incredibly poor. It is letting down this establishment down.
Great food. Excellent atmosphere and superb service.
Suptious food, presented in a fine dining way- wonderfull experience with good friends.
Hidden Gem. Could hardly decide what to pick off the menu and all meals ordered were delicious

Fantastic atmosphere.Good service.Excellent food
Food quality is great. Definitely a worthy experience. The Springbok was done to perfection. The eisbein spring roll with the pork belly is exquisite. Best creme brulee Ive come across.
Great food, one of the best creme brulees in Pretoria!
Beautiful venue. Fantastic food. Great service.
Excellent food with a nice rurally situated venue. Friendly staff and a Maitre D who is a really nice person. On the down side the road leading to the venue is gravel and needs a scraping very bad, but once again the food makes up for that!
Fantastic restaurant, amazingly delicious food and a great atmosphere!! Definitely a Hidden gem!
Amazing atmosphere, Amazing food!
Best Sunday lunch venue in Pta.
Excellent food
Went on a dinner-date to Tin Roof Café for my birthday. We were seated on the patio outside, overlooking the garden. This is a lovely venue - small enough for a quiet, cozy atmosphere and a feeling of special without being pretentious... Spacious enough to feel relaxed and not like part of a rush-job. The fillet steak and lamb cutlets were mouth watering and beautifully presented, as was dessert - we had caramel pavlova and tiramisu, both were delicious. Do end an afternoon or evening here with a cup of coffee or cappuccino, it was some of the best Ive had in a long time.
Food was delicious, nice atmosphere.
This hidden farm restaurant has some epic dishes. The flavors are amazing, the chef does the execution flawlessly
Tranquil setting and delicious food. The proud peacock added to the grandeur.
We held our kitchen tea at The Tin Roof Cafe and it was JUST LOVELY!! The Chef was engaging, the food was delicious & the area beautiful. I highly recommend this venue for events. Well done and keep up the good work The Tin Roof Cafe x
Mist enjoyable
The venue is beautiful with well kept gardens surrounding the outside area. This is a great place to go if you are celebrating a special occasion with loved ones. Our group was very well treated by the hostess and her staff. The food was also outstanding.
Excellent service and 5 star quality. Worth every penny!!!
Excellent food. Great atmosphere proud waiters a perfect chef and it demonstrates their recent award of 2019. More of a cuisine restaurant but you feel at the end of the meal it is money well spend
