What a disappointing experience it was, absolutely terrifying. My trip to Zim to my varsity friends wedding, Ill number my points:1. On the 8th Aug, the bus arrives 2hours late at the Bosman station. Unfriendly bus drivers who failed to even communicate to us when we had issue along the road, not to mention they refused to put on that damn TV on for us.2. Bait Bridge was a nightmare, the bus was overload cause the drivers had more personal luggage and had the nerve to blame the passengers...how when every passengers luggage is weighted...moving on3. After 3hours at the bait bridge, another 7hours at the border but apparently this is a norm but absolute no assistance from the bus drivers.4. We arrived in Masvingo and my bag was torn apart, Lord Jesus! I raised this up with one of the drivers but no interest was shown and I didnt follow it up cause I had spent over 24hours on the road and just wanted to settle down and rest.5. Ok on my return, 12 August lucky enough the bus arrived just over 10mins late, bearable!Lord have mercy, the potholes from Masvingo to the border were a nightmare but we were literally flying on them, at one point we slowed downed so hard I thought we crushed, terrible experience.6. At the border it was a breeze, now this bus drivers were really helpful.7. As we continued with the speed, bearable this time cause SAn roads are better, in Makhado the bus decided it has had enough, we had a mechanical breakdown. The drivers called Greyhound but it took them just over an hour to respond.8. I called and threw a tantrum, and suddenly a mechanic came and assisted us.9. This was Greyhound Dreamliner, the so called top of the range bus, arguableif you ask me. My seat was not controllable and I kept falling on the person behind me. I couldnt lay down properly as I kept coming back not trying to inconvenient the other passenger. What a sweet sweet terrific experience, nonetheless, my friends wedding was beautiful in Zim. ❤

A journey that was meant for less than 14hours took 24 hours, the bus broke on the way. I saw more than 10 cockroaches by the seat where I was sitting at the top deck. Please fumigate the buses and properly clean inside. My excitement of boarding a luxurious bus for the first time went from 100 to zero

Greyhound citiliner has the best customer service and conveniences as any other bus company, theyre always on time and leaves on time. Im surprised how strict this driver is at adhering to social distancing and covid-19 regulations. They could do something about their air-conditioning though, because above me the small aircon is not working and its especially necessary now during this pandemic. But I am satisfied with their quality of service and the maintenance of the bus, the quality you get from them exceeds the price you pay.

Why cant this company arrive on time, it literally arrives 2 or even 3 hours later than the time on the ticket. I mean if you are gonna state the time stick to it.I have been using Greyhound for about 3 years to get by but I promise if another bus company were to come by Id use it because it is completely unacceptable for drivers to act unruly and on top of that arrive super late. I fortunately use it just to get home and have no other obligations after that, but think of people that have plans and have set them based on the TOA on the ticket. Greyhound, please either arrive as per stated time or change the time of arrival to a more accurate one.

I recently travelled with the Greyhound Dreamliner from Pretoria to Cape town. The bus was nice and comfortable but I was very disappointed with the offices and waiting area. No working toilets, many of the seats were broken and in Pretoria and Johannesburg we had to wait quite a while for the bus which was late. There is no directions to help one with the change over. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful though.

The staff morale is definitely at its lowest here. They work as if they have been asked to wipe peoples butts. No one here loves their job. I now understand not to expect any world class service with a smile and positive energy. The worst experience is with the guy who tends to language. I look at him and want to give him a hug. Very aggressive and unnnecsarily rude. Women with babies and the elderly do not get first preferance in queues unless they have disabilities. The TVs dont work anymore and the many cockroaches just ride along without paying a single cent. Guard your handbag. These creatures will invite themselves to your homes. The only positive is the phone charging ports. Well done on that one.

Greyhound (Citiliner), used to be a very efficient and customer friendly place ,sadly, not anymore. I had purchased a ticket for my brother from Checkers in Benoni for a 11h00 am ride but due to traffic issues , I got there 15 minutes later & when I asked if they could perhaps put him him onto the next one , they refused point blank.Greyhound has become less empathetic & focussed on just enforcing their rules. Also I must admit , I tried my best to get there on time but just could not.I had to pay a premium for that 11h00 am seat (R420) and had to lose it because of not reading the fine print whilst the front desk consultant was if no help at all.

Very poor service on the 10th of March 2020 the 1945hrs Greyhound bus from Pretoria to Durban only left at 2030hrs. Got to Johannesburg park station at around 2130hrs and we where asked to disembark and that we would get onto the 2200hrs bus which we only boarded around 2300hrs. The painful thing was the lack of communication and updates from the staff. It was one of the worst services experienced

Really disappointed. Luckily i traveled alone. From beaufort west to midrand via kimberley on 29 september. Toilet was a mess. No blankets. Bus was 45 minutes late. 2 hours late in midrand. Stopped twice in potch. However...in july 2018 i traveled on greyhound with my 9 year old. It was fabulous then. Bus was spot on time. Blankets. Cushions. Clean toilet. Service. What happened??????!!!!! Now there is no public transport left to use. Greyhound was always a cut above the rest...not anymore.

I had the worst experience on the 24th Dec, travelling from Pretoria to Polokwane. Firstly the bus was scheduled to depart at 10h40 but only left at about11h30 with no apology or explanation. Then on our way our bus broke down about 30km away from our destination. Instead of sending a bus from Polokwane to take us, we were told they cant send us a bus but we must wait in the blazing sun in the middle of nowhere for a mechanic to assess the bus. The price was also ridiculously high!!

Took greyhound to Pretoria and back to durban . Best experience ever travelling with the dreamliner. Very comfortable. Dont like that the bus only stops once. And the Pretoria offices had issues with the schedule and nobody apologised for the bus being late and every time we asked what was going on nobody had any answers. So a citiliner plus bus which was nice too took us to park station jhb. But overall I had a pleasant experience and n.b. always book early and book the bottom seats you wont regret it oh and bring your usb cord so can charge your phone and earphones.

So I have a few questions for Greyhound / Citiliner. How does your bus brake before it has even left? When are you going to change the bus stop or drop off point on the bus tickets and system in Midrand since the Caltex Fresh Stop closed a few months ago?If the tickets was bought before the Bus stop closed, why dont you inform the people of the new drop of point? Why dont you let the people know the bus will be arriving late? Why dont your call centre know where the other drop of point will be if not at at the Caltex in Midrand? Why does your call agent tell me its not like your mom and sister is the only women on the bus?Why is it okay if your busses is more than two hours late? How is it possible that I buy a Citiliner bus ticket and they arrive in a Padco bus?Why dont you let the people know there is a change of busses so i dont run around looking for a Citiliner thats not there? Can i please have my money back????!So my mom and sister was suppose to leave from Bloemfontein at 12h50 but before they left, the bus broke. So it left 2 hours later, we didnt receive a message that the bus is broken or that the bus will be late, on their way here, they changed to two diffrent busses and arrived in Midrand with a Pudco bus. On the bus ticket, the arrival point is Caltex fresh stop that apparently closed down two months ago, we didnt receive any notification from that aswell. After driving around for half an hour looking for other access points from the N1 to the Caltex and f stopping on tbe high way on top, looked down and there is not even a light on at the garage, i phoned Citiliner twice and they assured me the drop of point is there. Then my mother in law phoned and they said the drop of point is now at the Shell ultra, when my father in law got frustrated cause they didnt let anyone know, they dropped the phone in his ear. Then i phoned and asked where the bus stop is, i was furious cause now Ive been looking for almost an hour and my mom got dropped of in the mean while, it is past 21h30 and Im not there, the the call agent droped the phone on me aswell. I still dont know which one of the 6 Shell garages it is, so i drove to everyone, at this point i couldnt get hold if anyone at Citiliner, my mom and sister yer have now been standing for almost an hour, she is crying cause they got dropped at the back of the Shell garage with one road and there is a small bus blocking the road and the people are drunk. I eventually got to the right garage, i had to drive opposite direction in a one way to get to them cause of the bus that is blocking the road and the last straw was the fact that you have an agreement with Shell to use is as a drop off and you cant even install a few lights just to not make it pitch dark for when you come two hours late and it is dark already. Surrounding the Shell is a forest of trees and cause there is no lights, it is pitch dark and you cant see a thing, you dont know if someone is hiding in the bushes. But obviously it is not like you care.So if i wanted to buy the cheeper ticket and let them arrive late at night, i woukd have done it. This is unacceptable is so many flippen ways. There is no communication, you guys make and brake just like you want to and you dont care about the people on board never mind the women driving alone. Ive never seen anything like this and Ive been to any government institution and the service was better. In my live we will never make use of Greyhound and Citiliner and as far as i go i will tell this story to warn people.Lastly can i please have my money back so i can take them home myself...
