Specials were good but offset by delivery costs. Felt a bit disorganized to me. One consultant could not help me for some items, had to talk to another. Got wheelbarrow cheaper at another supplier after they promised that I could still get at special.

In terms of variety...they have pretty much everything...which kind of makes it difficult to navigate the store. The sales people really need to be more hands on. I went in with a big list of items...and we had to find someone to help us. The gentleman who did was really wonderful. He sits at the paint section. But numerous people passed us with nobody offering assistance. Yes it was 16h30...but it was also almost a R5000 sale. Overall I am happy with the store though. Decent pricing and massive variety.

Being a builder my self i found that the service there was pleasurably upheld as they showed not only all i wanted for the build but that which i missed, more over i like thier dec, its inspirational

Prices at the time of my comment are really competitive. They dont have all the items you would need if going regular maintenance shopping. However the ones they do have are good quality.

Yes I bought paints there awesome experience and we kept social distance and a queue. I was so fortunate to get paint that was on special greatful indeed. Helpful staff and they also assist me with quotation. I recommend to people still one of the best place to buy hardware goodies

Extremely disappointed with the arrogant paint mixing helper. He was busy with a customer in excess of half an hour and i ask him if someone else could assist me and his response was rude and racists. I left all my purchases on the counter and left. Will never ever buy at any Carrim brach again. I will rather drive from Brits area to Chamberlains in the east as they supply superior service.

Never has stock. Promise to get from other stores never arrives. You can wait for over 5 weeks and go in store to check if stock arrived. Because that call you back never happens. Why advertise products on sale but never in stock from day one.

The Van Der Hoff staff not helpful and rude, only two cashiers availabe. Clients are standing in line for some time while the cashiers are slow and prioritizing people who refuses to queue. No ventilation and narrow enclosed space disignated for people who are in line. Poor experience and I would not recommend this shop.

Top notch quality assurance

It has most of what you would expect from your building material selling store, the prices are in line with most building stores prices. If you dont mind spending and are you are in a rush than this place is perfect for you.

The people at K.Carrim Builders hardware shop in Van der Hoff weg doesnt know what client service is! I when there 2 times and they could not gave me what I want. Today I when there to buy same skirting, but could not find it. I wait a while and nobody come and asked if they can help me. I wont go there again.

Found it challenging to get help on the floor. When I eventually got help the staff where unable to direct me to the material I was looking for. Eventually I found it myself a while later. Parking lot could use some TLC. The staff member at the till where very friendly.

Great place for good deals. Only problem is the branch in VD Hoff rarely opens on time Which is 7:30. Many days i have to wait 10-20 minutes before the doors open and even then everything inside is not ready as its another waiting game for systems to be turned on and staff to get their stations ready. Today its 07:56 and still not open so ill be leaving .Other than that i have no complaints

The only decent sales person at this shop is Sietse. I use to struggle getting help from any another person, if they are on their post.

Service was excellent

Again... today I visited the store in van der Hoff Road. In the electrical Department the Indian music is so loud the salesman and myself could not here each other. This is a great concern to me as I feel I want prompt service and I really feel it is not appropriate to expect customers and sales staff should scream at each other. Maybe look at that because it is very annoying.

I dont shop there much. I come out from there most times empty handed because I cant find what I really need. Many items are really cheap, because they are cheap and a person can see it will not last. So you pass and go somewhere else to get item of better quality for a little more.

Value for money

Not customer focused. I spend easily R50k pm on building materials. Have approached them twice to buy items. First time on big LED mirrors on which I waited about 15 to 20 minutes for the sales guy to help but he was rather interested to make small talk to someone else. Next time called to find out prices on kerbs on which the sales guy used any excuse not to give a price eg I must first come in to select or he must first call the supplier to find out prices. So I have never bought there because every time they waste my time.
