I had the best experience at city view birthing retreat. Dr Mariatha is simply the best, the love and passion that she has for what she does is simply amazing. The service there is out of this world. Thank you to Willemin also for taking great care of us. There is so much that I can say about them but all I can say is that city view is the best place for any expectant mother...oh and the fathers are also treated exceptionally well

Dr Yazbek and her team are amazing, knowledgeable, attentive and most of all caring.From day one till our birth the most incredible journey started with Dr Yazbek culminating in the most amazing birth experience. Safety of mother and child number one priority but beautiful inclusion of partner with attention given to both parents.If you want an empowering natural birth as a women this is for you. City View Birthing Retreat is the best place to deliver your baby if you arent looking to deliver in a hospital.Mariatha and team provides expectant mothers with EVERYTHING necessary for thorough pre-natal care and a healthy birth. From in-house sonars (performed with each consultation), to details for backup gynaecologists near the facility -- all is in place for a well-monitored and safe pregnancy throughout.On a more personal note, the support Mariatha provides is invaluable. From the beginning, she was always available for us to drop messages and ask questions regarding pregnancy and infant care.She possesses a wealth of knowledge when it comes to obstetrics from a natural birthing perspective and theres always something new to learn from her.Equally important, however, she understands what pregnant moms go through, both from first-hand experience and many years practicing midwifery. This enables her to provide the best support possible.For most women, labour remains one of the the most difficult and physically taxing experiences theyll ever go through. Unfortunately, labour can also hold certain risks for moms and babies occasionally. But under Mariathas care, I never felt scared of labour at all.Even though the delivery was tough, sore and tiring (they all are) I never feared that if anything negative were to happen, I wouldnt receive the exact care I needed for both my own safety and babys.Honestly, my biggest fear was the car ride to the retreat, as I was quite nervous to travel all the way from Johannesburg to Pretoria while in labour. Looking back, I can laugh at myself for that -- it wasnt so bad. Labour DOES NOT instantly become substantially more difficult in a car( as I thought it would for some obscure reason).In hindsight, I can honestly say that the care baby and I received at City View was well worth the travel. Our baby was born exceptionally healthy and the postpartum care I received was superb.

My husband and i were pleased with our visit here and had our hearts set on giving birth here, but due to a lack of communication and respons from City View, we had to find an alternative place last minute. Very disappointed.

My wife and I had a good experience with Mariatha (who owns the birthing clinic) throughout the entire process.As this was our first baby, and as such, we had many questions and concerns which Mariatha addresses patiently, thoroughly and with such knowledge and wisdom. We truly feel that we would have not been able to get the same service or have the same experience had we followed the standard channels.We even made the decision to travel from JHB to PTA for each session, because it was truly worth it. After the birthing process has taken place, Mariatha also follows-up with the patient, cares about ones new baby and how the family is coping. The advice and guidance she has given us on this journey has truly been beneficial.We cannot recommend her and the retreat highly enough, and we will certainly be returning if we are blessed with another baby down the line.Thank you for everything Mariatha.
