I joined the ASG ride yesterday. What a disappointing and horrible experience. I would not recommend to anyone. There was no welcome, and no clear communication beforehand to say this was going to be a race. They did not have the decency to wait for anyone. Some of the riders had to turn back with one of the riders in the middle having to follow tyre tracks to try and find the route, this is unacceptable. If it was communicated beforehand to say it was a race and you will left behind the expectations would of been clear in which case this is not the company with a culture I will support.

Excellent and professional advise that got me excited and feeling comfortable in wanting to start my cycling journey. Update: I took my bike into service and the staff really are awesome! They helped me out and serviced my bike quickly and efficiently and I got it back the very next day. They even offered to take me along on some rides. The bikes they have look really nice and the store in general look really nice. The bikes are a bit expensive but you can find all the general stuff you need. I previously commented on a slightly bad experience I had here but they convinced me with great service and an awesome store that it was a once of occurrence. Would definitely go back here and recommend it to any cyclists in the area! Now, Can anyone give me some money so I can go and buy a new bike here?

After many years of supporting ASG brands, I must admit, things have gone a little south. Also heard that two of their top employees left recently... dont know their reasons. In-shop experience is not good at all with one* gentlemen having to attend to customers. (*last three times I was in the shop) Id rather go to a shop where you get advice and service from people eager to assist - and we are spoilt in Pretoria East.

Sad to see this store closing down.

Pathetic online customer service. Waiting over 2 months for my order to be delivered. ZERO proactive service via email. Have to resend information multiple times with NO FEEDBACK besides “i can’t find your order” even after sending confirmation of payment and order number. Understand it’s lockdown but do you people not know how to communicate with customers???

I have had excellent service from Rochelle during my last 2 shopping experiences at ASG: 1. Purchasing a race rain bag special edition during lockdown in Jhb. Rochelle arranged for collection in Paarl by my Brother and 2. Rochelle arranged for a replacement Sidi Wire2, original pair damaged during a bicycle accident. I was always kept in the loop. I ordered some goods (including a helmet) just before the lockdown started, received it promptly and found that the helmet was incorrect size for me. Since the lockdown was about to start and courier companies had been unable to return the goods on a weekend, I simply returned the helmet to the store in Paarl and was immediately credited, allowing me to purchase something else via the online platform. I was kept up to date with my order and given further assistance where required by Rochelle. Simply fantastic service! As a result, I had purchased even more items with the knowledge that my money is safe and my goods are guaranteed to be delivered.I would recommend ASG to any cyclist wanting some of the best quality products available.

I placed a order and there was a hiccup with stock but the issue was addressed and sorted out quickly. All in all I recieved good service.

If you want a run around then purchase from this crowd. Online service and any form of communication is non existent. It has taken more than a month from placement of my order and bugging them continually to be told that the items are not in stock as shown on the website. This after promising delivery today. Now the fun begins while I wait for my refund. Search the bikehub forum and you will see many dissatisfied customers.

Amazing bunch of enthusiastic people and cyclists. They really do aim to make a positive difference here. Theyre the sole distributor for Sidi shoes (as far as Im aware) and dealt with them regarding parts for the shoes. They were very accommodating since I was contacting them from JHB South.They have a beautiful store with an amazing display of bikes and a wide variety of gear, accessories and consumables. Theyd be my go-to lbs if I lived close enough.They have very regular mtb and road clubrides, so be sure and ask to be added to the right whatsapp group if you were interested.
