I wish I can leave less stars, and now I understand the bad reviews this franchise gets. I came to a totally empty sorbet (see photos below) to my 1 hour appointment with my aunty who cant walk for too long. They said she has to leave the shop if she wasnt doing any treatment. We asked if she could sit inside few chairs away and wait for me and they said no because the covid rules. I understand social distancing if the shop has other people inside, but there was no one! What a way to loose more clients Sorbet!

Very unpleasant experience. Called the morning for an appointment, was told they would call me back which didnt happen. Arrived for my appointment at three and was told they had booked it for four, but then they decided that it had been booked for three. After the pedicure the technician wanted to immediately replace my shoes, but decided differently when her supervisor said that the nail polish was still wet. I also have two very panful toes, the technician somehow managed to take the skin of my toe next to my big toe on both my feet and left a raw sore on both toes. I would advise against using this Salon. It should after all be a treat not an unpleasant experience.

I called the sorbet yesterday to book an appointment for today. They gave me an appointment for 12:30 and the receptionist said she had booked me. I arrive today and give them my name and someone else is booked in my spot.They are rude and say I didnt book and I had to take my phone out to prove that I did. Then I waited 30 minutes to be seen for my brow wax and tint which should be a 20 minute appointmentThis is unacceptable and I would not waste your time and money at this branch.The lady who did my brow and tint was nice. just the receptionists are not professional and dont know how to handle customers.

This was my favorite Sorbet for years, but tonight I arrived at 18:11, and the desk lady was very unpleasant. I can’t support a “self care” branch that doesn’t care about you. That was quite an unfortunate experience. As I entered the door the lady literally grabbed her face in frustration. After greeting her with an overly friendly tone, a huge smile and saying “I didn’t realize you’re still open” she replied with an abrupt “what do you want done??” The worst is I drove all the way from centurion for this. Would you let an unhappy person wax your eyebrows???

My nail polish started peeling within a week. Tried going to another sorbet at Brooklyn mall and it peeled the same day. Definitely going to look for a new nail salon.

Just came to buy some facial products. Saw a Karen for the 1st time and I was genuinely entertained by the absurdity of the complaint. Anyway, the lady who helped me understood what I needed and recommended good products

My first visit was awful, not going back there again , receptionist was very rude, didnt offer me a menu so that I can choose what I want, instead she expected me to know it by some miracle, she even put another customer infront of me, but the nail tech was friendly though

If i could give 0 stars I would. The hygiene protocol at this Sorbet is nonexistent. Had my eyebrows waxed and the lady didnt wear gloves. Now Im dealing with so many sensitive pimples around my eyebrows. Theyre friendly and helpful but it doesnt men anything if hygiene is not of the utmost importance. Back to skinphd I go.

Worst nails done ever! Hairs in my nails, bumpy, not filed straight, clots underneath my nails. The finishing is terrible. Really horrible. If I could have given a minus star rating I would have.I will also take this up with Bio Sculpture as the way it was applied is terrible. The hygiene is non existent the files were not disinfected, I am actually scared of getting a fungus.

Out of all the Sorbet shops I have visited over the years, this one gave me the best service and the nails I had on stayed on longer than all the other Sorbet shops I visited.

One of the most amazing services I have ever experienced this venue deserves 7 stars. You are offered a beverage upon arrival anything from tea to wine. Staff is professional, warm and welcoming. Sorbet Menlyn comes highly recommended for anyone who enjoys being pampered.

A disgrace to the Sorbet name. Bad attitude from the nail technician, badly done nails - bumpy, thick and all of my cuticles were full of paint after and sticky along the cuticles. No hygiene protocol was followed. Then the manager contacted me with the worst attitude to resolve nothing.

I have gone to Sorbet in Menlyn five times already. And all five times I have felt patronized by that woman at the reception desk.Both on the phone when making bookings and in person she has been very condescending. Although I have noticed that her interaction with white clients is much more friendlier and welcoming.Having said, yesterday was my last time coming to this particular Sorbet. I should not be treated as if my money has no value or that I’m doing my nails for free. It’s disgusting how she operates.

My selfish place

The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the consultant who has done my pedicure has filed through my skin leaving me with a open wound on my toe and never said a word. I only realised it afer leaving on holiday as I have blood sirculation problems and no feeling in my toes. Nail technitian was very good and did a good job.

If I could give this Sorbet a 0 I would. After calling Mall of Africa Sorbet where the product was bought, they told me that I have to return the product to Mall of Africa.BUT even worse, they first said the product cant even be refunded as it was open, but I made sure the product was still sealed and even went to a another Sorbet beforegand and they confirmed it was sealed, but their systems was down.So they opended the product to use it as an excuse and I insisted that it was sealed, whereafter the manager then said oh well one of the ladies probaly accidently opended it! I will never go back to this Sorbet!

I did my eyebrows in menlyn mall and it was done quite well but the ladies service was pathetic. Their attitudes were shocking and rude. The ladies need to fix their attitudes before i ever step foot in that shop again, sad to see because its the first time ever complaining about service at a sorbet

I arrived at 09:55 for my 10:00 appointment. The lady informed me that she cannot see my booking, but it is not a problem. I had a seat and 20 minutes later she still had not assisted me. I enquired as to whether she will at all be able to assist me, to which she responded she is busy looking for someone to help me. 5 minutes later a lady offered to help me as her guest was late. No one apologised and the lady at the front desk never got back to me. While I was waiting to be assisted another guest was also delayed by 25 minutes - no one could tell her why she wasn’t being assisted. I’ve never experienced this kind of service at any other Sorbet and I would never return to this branch.

Sam does the most amazing massage

From the glass of water with the lipstick on the rim, to having my cuticles so roughly pushed back I bled on the one finger, the whole experience was awful. The lady doing my nails kept day dreaming out the window. And there are bubbles under my top finishing layer. Getting charged R450 for nails and R300 for a pedi (which is messy, and again my one toe was pushed so hard at the cuticle my eyes were watering) that was such a painful and unpleasant experience... to then get to the till where it took like 15 min for someone to figure out how to use the computer. Incredibly disappointing and complete waste of money. Absolutely shocking

***Unacceptable Service*** 0 Stars!!!!!I went to menlyn and decided to go to the sorbet there to get my eyebrows waxed.The receptionist said its a bit late but she can see who is available. A lady then helped me but I could see she was very rushed and wanted to go home even though it was not close to closing time.I have never ever experienced such a bad service, she somehow was able to wax half my eyebrow off and I have a massive gap in my one eyebrow. The one side is competely different form the otherside as well.I will never visit the Menlyn Sorbet again and will definitely not recommend it to any of my friends, as this was the worse experience I have had and I cant fix a eyebrow.If your employees are too lazy to work and want to go home rather tell your clients that they cannot be helped and rather should book another day.

Booked an appointment at 10:00 for an eyebrow and hollywood wax, made sure that I was on time for my appointment. When I came in for my appointment I told the lady at reception what I was there for. SHe asked me to wait. After about 15min one of the other staff members came over and told me that the lady my appointment was booked with did not show for work sorry ne!! I do not live close to Menlyn, my time and petrol was wasted by their incompetence.

Took my spouse for a beauty treatment..service was lovely and time effective..

I regard exceptional service as a number 1 priority and to be a loyal guest I need my expectations to be met if not exceeded. I am very glad with the service and the staff is very professional.

Terrible service. I rushed to get to my appointment at 12:30, then they call me at 12:26 saying that they are running late and my appointment gets pushed to 13:00. I arrived there at 13:00 and waited another 30 minutes, so I left. They dont respect their clients time. Wont be going back.

I had gone to get my nails done twice bfore at Sorbet, both experiences wonderful. But this last time the girl put gelish all over my cuticles. And i tried telling her while she was busy but she shrugged it off. More than once. Then when she was finally finished, i wanted to leave it and leave the shop and just not go back again, but I thought to myself R400 is a lot of Money to lose. So i asked the other ladies whether they think its fine. They said no and asked the original girl to fix it. She then proceeded to hurt my cuticles. It is now red and damaged. Now everytime i use sanitizer my cuticles burn like hell. She also only fixed two of my ten nails... Never. Again. And I hate complaining and any sort of confrontation. So this caused me so much emotional anguish.

My wife was seriously disappointed. She complained, but the nail technician didnt want to help. Then she was forced and she made a complete stuff up. Sad
