Nicole, a waiter at Aandklas will rob you.. When she thinks you are too drunk to notice she will charge you for alcohol you never got. When we asked why are we paying for more than what we have she claimed we spilt it and it fell over but there was nothing to show for it.. After that she says she has a lot of pull in this club so we cant do anything about it..Wouldnt recommend

Really fun place to go to wind down and connect with open minded people. The drinks are strong and priced well. Found zero to none flaws, just wish they had more vegetarian/vegan friendly options, other than potato chip and Margherita pizza, truly miss their jalapeño poppers. But I still give a 5 star rating!

Drinks on discount all day! Gets packed very quickly, so get there early! Great vibe, dominated by young students. Friendly to all races. Great place to grab a drink with friends, just dont ask the caucasian waiters by the bar for sanitizer, theyll tell you to go all the way by the entrance to sanitize which is silly because sanitizer should be convenient for customers, so thats kinda the only rude thing me and my mates have experienced there more than twice. Can you just sanitize customers if we ask for sanitizer by the bar, dont tell us the counter is sanitized when over 20 people keep touching it when fetching their drinks. Overall the waiters and waitresses are cool people. Also they dont have speakers outside so you dont get to hear nice music unless you go inside which also kinda sucks if youre a music lover wanting to sit outside and enjoy the place in fresh air, youll only get to enjoy hearing other peoples conversations. Its just better to come here as a group.

Aandklas is the perfect place to visit when in the mood to kick back, relax, enjoy a beer, catch up with some friends and listen to golden rock music. No judgement on what you wear, eat, drink or even with who your with. Everyone is accepted as long as you show some interest in the music. Dancing on the tables in the evening is a common student attraction (dont knock it till you try it) and their weekly specials is also an amzing quality that makes me loyal to their pub. Service is good but their music is better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a good time!

Aandklas has some of the best cocktail specials on Hatfield for any student and trust youll have a great time on any of their activity evenings. Theyve got a great mix in demographics however I feel that their music just needs to be a bit more inclusive and theyd attract much more people. Definably a great stop to make if youve never been in Hatfield as the setup is a memorable one!

As a student in Hatfield, Pretoria, this is the go to bar. Drinks are incredibly cheap and the cocktails are well made. A buy-1-get-1 free special runs till 6pm everyday and every night has an event that usually attracts a full house. Also a great place to meet new people.

Open mic session on Sunday evening was enjoyable. Air quality and lighting is definitely below par and should be improved. It is not a great idea to watch the live performances if you cannot deal with cigarette and vape smoke. Very friendly people all around and super easy to strike up conversations. This is not a high-end hang out... very chilled and informal.

Aandklas is such a magical place.It looks pretty dingy when you first arrive and thats because it is a little bit dingy, but that just adds to the personality of the place. The vibe is really fun and wholesome; the music is amazing; the drinks are good; the people that you will meet there are people that anyone would want to be friends with; and dancing on the tables is completely acceptable. They have a lot of fun things to do like Quiz night on a Wednesday and Karaoke. I would definitely choose Aandklas over the strip on any night. Go experience it!

Horrible experience. Hatfield is full of better places without the cocky staff who treat you like you dont deserve the time of day. Strange to think I used to love this place. Good luck with your kak attitude. Wish you all the best, we wont be returning.

My favourite place to dance. Its one of those places where you can just have fun. Most nights they start the night off with well-known (old and newer) music and then end the night with more head banging music.The vibe is great and the drinks arent too expensive.They also have a quiz night on Wednesday nights which is great!

Music choice was nice, but the person singing wasnt the original artist (and wasnt a live band playing covers but recorded audio). Drinks are much more limited than expected. But other than that, good atmosphere.

This place is a great place for students. Its not an expensive place for drinks either. They play great music at this place but its not for everyone. They mostly play alternative/rock, indie/rock, alternative/indie and classic rock. Great rusty vibe going on there as well

Best rock and alternative joint in the city. Has a more mature atmosphere about it. The bar tends to show some great artists over some weekends. There is however a minimum swipe of R100 so be prepared.

Can be a hit or miss. When the music is good and the place is packed its really something every student should experience once. Music has gone down the last couple of years and its quieter and quieter each time.

This place has been an open home to many, the beer is always cold, theres a drink special for everyone, and the food is amazing! As for the music, no contest. This isnt some techno club, this is Aandklas!

Best bar in Pretoria for sure. Great live music acts and open mic nights oj Sundays are fun to attend and see some local talent. The shooters are a must try with plenty interesting options to try from. Also definitely try the pizza surprisingly some of the best pizza Ive had (no jokes).

Went for Pirate Fest tour, audio quality was mega trash, toilets are mega trash. Ive been to different pubs and bars and at the very least they have running water and soap even those with homeless people chilling outside and with slot machines everywhere. Theres only so much charm a dingy pub can have. Do not play at Aandklas unless you have your own audio crew. Food and drinks were alright I guess but considering the above its a health hazard.

Absolutely my favorite place to party as a student. Entrance is usually cheap, and some nights its free. Wednesday is a insane quiz night! Drinks arent exspensive and food is great (pub style). Only downside is visiting events, ad the space is overcrowded then. Otherwise great fun, only place you get to dance on tables :P

This place might seem a bit sketchy as its in a sketchy part of Hatfield. Dont let that turn you off though because the vibe inside is amazing. The music they play is usually classics which is nice if you just want to dance or sing a long. The only bad thing is that they have a R100 swipe limit. So make sure to bring cash for drinks

A fun selection of cheesy rock throwbacks and South African (especially Afrikaans) tunes. Good for a wholesome student night out. Live music often.

Nice chilled place to spend an evening with your mates. I recommend the meaty platter that they serve, think its very well made. Could change up music at times and become a little more diverse, and also speed up the waiting times for food.

One of the last surviving night spots in Hatfield. Always was a great option, still is. Great music played and is almost always very full. Just a pity that the Hatfield experience has been dulled by the loss of the rest of the Hatfield night scene.

Food and drink is cheap but the atmosphere is a bit stagnant inside, outside is built like a cage with no view except buildings right around. Ive been there twice and both times it felt more like a funeral home than a jol / pub.

Dodgy at best. But it looks like a fun student hangout place. Smells like Jeyes Fluid. Affordable drinks. Shabby toilets and facilities.
