Had a lovely breakfast and as per usual the presentation off the food as well as the quality of ingredients and the taste of the end result was above reproach! We both had the Oefs Benedict rounded off by a beautiful cup of good quality coffee. Needless to say the service was also good even though the restaurant was rather busy on a month end Sunday morning.The only downside is to find parking if you dont arrive before 10am.

10/10. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the braised oxtail in a red wine sauce with dumplings and roasted vegetables.In addition, while you wait, you can browse through the locally made furniture shop this restaurant is attached to.If you havent tried this quaint French restaurant, Id highly recommend it.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE:Lepis Doré The Village (Hazelwood) new premises.ANTI-MOTHERS AND BABIES | PRETENTIOUS | OVER-PRICED| BAD SERVICE | TERRIBLE ATTIDUDE FROM OWNER AND HOSTESS | BAD FOOD.We arrived with no where to push pram up. The owner and hostess looked at us as if we were not welcome, especially with a baby. An elderly male customer had to help us lift the pram with no help from the staff while the hostess looked on with a bad attitude. We were then finally seated.Our Cappucinos and Mocha were terrible. We then ordered a carrot cake which was also the worst we have ever had. We had to wait extremely long for our waitress and then still had to wait extremely long for the card machine.When asked at the end if everything was to our satisfaction, we replied that the service was poor. Our comment was ignored and no apology was given by the hostess.We will never return to this restaurant that was once the cute little coffee shop at Gift Acres Mall. Such a pity.

2021: 2* What was a favourite cafe of return customers, Lepis Dore at their new location leaves much to be desired. The kitchen service is slow, the hot drinks are average at best, and the new floor manager is pretentious, ignorant and arrogant. The food is luckily still great, but this does not make up for an overall terrible dining experience.2020: 5* A year after my previous review and Lepis Dore still never disappoints. The breakfasts are great, the lunches even better. If you are a chocolate fan, a slice of Chocolate Nemesis is an absolute must.2019: 4* Delicious and well prepared breakfast with friendly staff. If you are particular about your eggs, they will not disappoint.

Weve been there twice now for breakfast and would recommend them to anyone. Friendly service, an extensive menu and the quality of the food is excellent. Will definitely be returning; we have many more menu items we want to taste 😊

Handy coffee shop/ restaurant in Gift Acres shopping centre off Lynnwood Road. Baked goods superb. Other dishes look good too and there are a lot of regular customers. Just not enough veggie options.

Dont eat their chicken liver,I made the mistake of eating it this Friday and spent the night vomiting and with diarrhea. There seemed to be a complete lack of any form of management there that afternoon (staff milling around in the kitchen trying to look busy but doing nothing)

I really love this Bistro - it is one of my favorite establishments in Pretoria. To my horror today a patron was smoking on the stoep - she admitted she is doing it “skelm”. This happened under the eyes of several waitrons. I didn’t want to make a scene...... but was so disappointed. I asked the lady not to smoke and she verbally attacked me.

If you want something different for breakfast this is where you will find it. I loved the Parisiene breakfast crepe.
