Fantastic people who specially build a crash bar for my motorcycle as a Driving school bike which no body else had the guts to attempt it. It was a new project with no plans yet they came up with a brilliant plan. Thanks guys.

I was quoted Thousands of rands by #Renault and another specialist to change steering rack bushes, when I visited @BoschTalladega they had a good look and noticed that the bushes were fine, everything just needed to be tightened up?! And YES it was just tightening up, car drives just fine... Very professional and polite staff, would highly recommend them!

This is Suraya, I refer to my previous review.The response below is untrue. I was never quoted for engine mount before. I was quoted for ESP unit replacement, radiator, rear light and water bottle. I bought a radiator and you guys fitted it. The rest I postponed. I have proof of all the above.Secondly, I was sitting in the car when the rattling was checked. No belt was removed and those parts you claim were faulty are not. No one mentioned the engine mountings - it is my private mechanic who did. You guys are lying point blank and that is even more worrying and you are untrustworthy. Also your parts are expensive, more than double from other suppliers.-----------------------------------Hi Suraya, were troubled by your rating and hope you could clarify why you assessed us so poorly. Our records show that we originally quoted fixing your engine mountings and many other issues, and you did not accept our quote.When you returned sometime later and asked if we could help with the rattling noise, our senior technician and foreman on duty performed a vehicle inspection. They removed the fan belt and found a noisy roller, worn fan belt tensioner shaft and a worn crankshaft damper pulley, which was starting to disintegrate. Our quote was based on the evidence of the faulty parts that needed replacing. Wed be happy to clarify any confusion caused

**My Response**Your response to my review is a LIE and that is worrying and unprofessional. The previous quote I got from you was for replacement of ESP unit, radiator, rear light casing and water bottle. (I have proof) I bought a radiator privately (because yours was double price) and you replaced the radiator. The rest I postponed.I was sitting in the car when they checked the rattling and they did not remove the fan belt. None of the pulleys and tensioner are faulty as per a 2nd opinion. Shane quoted R6465 for a pulley and when I called and asked which pulley specifically, he could not tell me, but in the response below they describe it, wow. The reception service is non-chalant generally.A second opinion from a private mechanic is what picked up the engine mounting and that was correct because my car is running smoothly now, after replacing the mountings. Many reviews here are exposing your unreliable service , so that is telling.----------------My car was rattling and without a test drive I was quoted for pulley, tensioner and fan belt and high prices. It was not clear why they quoted all those.I did not trust the diagnosis. So a second opinion found it was in fact engine mountings.I nearly lost money for this and wonder what was going to happen because the quoted items are working well. Seems to be a rip off.

Would not recommend. Left a spanner in the wheel well of the car after the service. Only discovered after we heard a strange noise whilst driving. Negligent and dangerous.

Guys I have to share my story. Never in my entire life have I received anything for free. Like the next guy, I have to work hard for what I want in life. But today I got something for free from Bosch Car Service Talladega Auto Clinic. I took my vehicle there yesterday morning to repair a small oil leak and change a fuse. Now I know its not a 10K job, but the fact that they took it in their hearts to not charge me for the job this time round, makes me believe that they are not only in this for the money, but also to help people. Now that is how you build a solid clientele for sure. Thank you Bosch, I really appreciate what you did for me today. And I will be back for sure, no point in going anywhere else. You assisted me very well a few months ago as well by replacing my starter. Even then I was very happy with the service. We’ve been customers of Talladega bosch service for a long time. The service was good and the staff professional so we always came back. But the last time I brought my car was a nightmare. I booked my car in for Wednesday. They did the standard service as I asked, but my car also had a power problem that we asked them to look at. They told me it was a faulty sensor and the guy at the reception told me the car would be ready on that Friday. Friday morning he called me saying that the piece didn’t arrive and the car will be ready on Monday. We went to collect the car on Monday and he told us that the car is not ready, the piece didn’t even arrive and he didn’t phone us because he forgot. Very unprofessional. However, eventually the piece arrived on Thursday, and that day I received 4 calls from the receptionist. The first two were about my car getting fixed and being ready for collection, then in the 3rd one he told me that the piece didn’t solve anything in my car but at least I didn’t have to pay for it, and the 4th one was about me having to pay for that piece my car didn’t even need because they couldn’t return it. We got extremely frustrated, we went to the place and one more time we heard something different! My car couldn’t get fixed through that piece but it suddenly also needed it so I had to pay for it. The guy kept arguing with us until I told the supervisor I didn’t believe a word anymore and I just wanted my car back and I would have payed just for the service which I did.After I took my car back I booked it in to another service center in our area. I gave the car in on the Monday afternoon and the Tuesday afternoon they phoned me back saying the car is ready to collect. In the end the fault was not a sensor or any electrical part as Bosch told us, but it was the “throttle body” that was blocked and needed to be cleaned (which they told us usually needs to be cleaned in a service). So I had my car fixed in less than a day at a fraction of the cost from Bosch.So I am sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place, the interaction with the customers is very important and I experienced a very unprofessional response from the team, especially from the receptionist.

Charged me R1300 for replacing a fuse after my car did not want to start. One month later, I still have the same problem, now I have to hear the price was for the diagnostic, which did not diagnose the problem. Pathetic!!!! R1300 FOR REPLACING A FUSE!!!!!!!

Telephonic conversation during booking created high expectations of excellent service. I was offered coffee when I arrived which strengthened the high expectations. I was told not to switch of the vehicle as it might effect the readings. Before the car went in for test I told them that I already have a test code on the fault. They then linked up their machine just to give me exactly the same error code I already had and wanted to charge me over R600 for running a short test. They could not repair the fault before the next day as it would take a day to get the part. In the end they reduced the charge by 50 persent but none of the issues where resolved and I left somehow feeling I was cheated out of over R300 and waited my time driving out to the shop. Very dissapointing experience

Definitely my first choice for a car service. Way better service than at the dealers. Friendly and on time. No waiting for parts. The staff knows what they are talking about. The shuttle service can be improved, driver uses cell while driving.

I took my vehicle for a minor 150000km service at Bosch Service Centre in Silver Lakes and was initially quoted between R1800 - R2200. When they confirmed after inspecting the vehicle, their quote was now around R4200. They wanted to charge me R1100 to skim my brake disks which was apparently necessary. Fortunately I told them to leave the brake disks as I had replaced the pads a few months prior. As I collected my vehicle, I took it to a trusted friend of mine at the Tyremart where I had my brake pads done and they checked the vehicle immediately and confirmed that the disks did in fact not need to be skimmed. Great to know that one can trust a service providers advice! (And one would think that carrying the Bosch name would carry some credibility). As I was arguing about the costs on the quote with Craig at Bosch Service Centre in Silver lakes (also know as Talladega Auto Clinic), he was very hostile and actually quite disrespectful towards me as I was trying to discuss why they had charged R1200 ex VAT labour for a minor service whereas a dealership would not have even charged me that much. He eventually just walked away having resolved nothing with me. I will never take my vehicle back here nor would I ever recommend anyone to take their vehicle there.

November 2016:Yet again, Bosch Silverlakes / Talladega provided outstanding service! The indicator system of my car had to be replaced due to some problems. This is an auto electrical problem and the guys at Talladega did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price! They also looked the fan belt tension and washed my car beautifully clean! Ill absolutely recommend these Bosch Silverlakes!September 2016:Excellent, professional, thorough, swift service! Explained to me exactly why and what had to be done, what had to be replaced and Craig really did his best to accommodate my requests. Ill definitely recommend these guys! Once you find a good service center with trustworthy mechanics, YOU STICK with them cause there are not a lot like them out there! Thanks for great service guys! Keep up the good work!

I took my Corsa in for starter problems. It was not resolved. It spent a small fortune on a service and other aspects but the most important aspect, the starter was not resolved. As the vehicle would not start, I called and asked for assistance. I was promised somebody would call back. Six hours later no call. Had top make other arrangements....

Changing my review. Yes i had great service. Took my car in to check my radio. A few days and 3900 later i got my car. I was very happy until i noticed every cent in my car was taken. They also took my cell phone charger, my extra usb charging cable, my remote. And thats what i found so far. I do understand that we sign they are nit liable for loss of goods. But really they should tell us that their staff will steal anything they can remove. And then tell us in person to remove the lighter charger. And when you tell them this they are like. OK not happy at all

My car has been to Bosch Service Centre Silver Lakes 3 times now to fix the problems caused by fuel contamination. Going against what Mercedes suggests, they did not replace anything. My car then broke down with me, my wife and baby. So I took it back a second time, where they then replaced the 2 diesel pumps (something Mercedes suggested they do in the first place) They also scratched my car in 3 places. Then after I got my car back it started leaking diesel. So I had to take it back a third time. Now have have to take it back again for the 4th time because of exactly the same reason, still leaking diesel. I have now been without my car for about 3 months.

So i took my BMW 335I for Diagnostics, i got a paper with 2 unknown error codes. I Paid R595 for this useless report by this useless service center. So i used a ELM 327 ODB tool which i bought for R500, which gave me a detailed description that their is a issues with intake pipeing. So i looked at all the pipeing in the engine bay(Bosch did not even bother) . And what do you know, a cracked charge pipe (common fault on all BMW N55/N54 Engines. I changed this part & now have no more errors. How can a service center be soo pathetic?
