Unprofessional and incompetent of doing simple tasks. The vehicle was booked in for a campaign (blower plug) and additionally to replace a fog light, and took the vehicle in on a Monday at 7:00 am. I was phoned 16:30 that the vehicle is ready for collection and that the campaign wasnt done due to stock issues and the fog light was only replaced. The reason for the booking was the campaign and only the additional task was completed. I received the vehicle back without any screws/clips on the fender when they replaced the fog light. I have scheduled a follow-up booking to complete the campaign and to place the screws/clips back and was promised that it would only take one hour maximum and that I can wait for it. I have waited two hours after confronting them and received the vehicle back with all my trip information cleared on the onboard computer and half washed. I do not see a reason why the trip information was cleared as this was crucial for me to keep a record.

Takes 20 min just to get in to ask a question. I went there to charge my vehicle. The charger does not have clear instructions so I had to go ask for assistance. The security are not well informed of what is going on and the reception is not very helpful. After going through the whole signing registers and getting temperature taken I was eventually informed that the charger is out of order and no one bothered to inform the staff or put up a simple little sign. A lot of time was wasted here. There are many ways for this branch to improve and I really hope they make some changes! BMW is supposed to be a premium brand that looks after their customers and delivers a high level of service, BMW Menlyn you have failed dismally at this!

I had delivered my car on a Tuesday morning, phoning often on the progress of my car. Eventually Midday Thursday I fetched it. Probably would not have been ready if I hadnt called again. They performed an oil change on a car with an oil leak. They say it and decided to change oil and charge me without fixing or even calling to ask if they can repair the leak.Drove away today with brand new oil leaking out my car. Workshop foreman and older gent in the glass office had absolutely no care what so ever. They do only as is written on the job card because noone can think past their own nose or pick up a phone and call..Absolutely worst experience ever.... never ever ever again.Dealer principle or whoever may read this. Dont send a message about your customer care BS. Not interested.

INCOMPETENT WORKSHOP BROKE MY VEHICLEBrought the vehicle in to replace fuel injectors to address a lean fuel mixture error. The job was supposed to last 2 to 3 hours.After much drama they returned the vehicle after two days, but the engine was so rough and without power that they had to keep it for a third day.On the third day I received the vehicle, again -- around 6 pm. When I got home all the coolant had poured out of the engine. When cold, the engine now only starts after cranking for a very long time. And the original lean fuel mixture error is still active.Now I cannot use the vehicle and will have to hire another vehicle just to get to the office. Almost too scared to return the vehicle to Menlyn Auto. Who knows how long they will take this time, and what else will be broken?UPDATE @ 2018/02/07 After two days in the workshop, I get a mail from Moses (the service rep), indicating that the cooling system is all broken: thermostat, pump, radiator. Cost, for my account: R 25 000.Went to see the service manager, who said that they are not accountable at all. I mentioned to him that the thermostat and pump was replaced 14 months ago.The coolant system fault was eventually fixed the next week Friday (9 Feb) at an additional cost of around R 8 000.UPDATE @ 2018/02/27 Two weeks later the vehicle broke down when the coolant system failed. Also had to replace fuel injectors 4 and 5, which Menlyn Auto did not previously replace.

On the 19 September 2020, i took my BMW to Menlyn BMW for its service ,i have a service plan for my vehicle and dropped the vehicle off in the morning later that afternoon i get a call and was told the vehicle will be ready at 13:00 and the amount comes to R4800 ,I tell the man that assisted me that i have a service plan and his answer very rudely is is not there job to phone the people that we have the motor plan with take into account that i have taken the vehicle there. Before and had the same issue but it was sorted out.this time the person said because its a Saturday the place is closed so they cant phone them .I had no another transport and when i went personally there and confronted your staff member and got angry they said we can claim this back from the place i have the service plan at but i must pay cash ,i told the person could they have not told me this before when i made the appointment,all the could do was lift there shoulders .I continued to tell them where must i get R4800 now they replied they can make it R3800 so all i can say about menlyn BMW is you wont see me again because right next to you is KIA menlyn they service my other vehicle they organise everything for me the claim number a shuttle to take me home where as BMW menlyn did nothing your service and staff are the worst ive seen compared to KIA menlyn your staff cant out do them i wish they could service BMWs i would take mine there

I would really like to thank you BMW for helping me yesterday. We broke down in Lios street with our Nissan, oil running out underneath. In that state of mind, I thought I just need more oil to put in and get home. BMW send an mechanic out to help me, he quickly saw that I would not be able to put in more oil to get home to do the repair. He showed us how to drive the car with out hurting it more. I now you guys did not need to help me... but you did and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I regret that I did not take the names of the lady and mechanic that help me. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.

This is a great BMW dealership. Huge secure parking lot, the showroom floor is big. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have the BMW i8 on display and one to test drive. That car feels really comfortable to get into, sit and operate. To test drive you need to submit a copy of your drivers license to book your test drive. Im highly impressed by this dealership.

I always seem to feel like they dont want my business. I am always treated like a second class citizen when I go there. This was my 3rd time, and definitely my last. No idea how to treat a customer. It is so difficult to get someone to help you and when they do, they are not really serious about getting you into a new car.

A bit of a mishap when I arrived. Wasn’t sure where to go to drop off my car for the service. I ended up driving my car straight into the workshop, which as it turns out was not allowed but the security man erroneously let me in without question.From then on, however, the service was exemplary! Without my asking, they replaced my wipers, brakes and break disks. I guess that’s what they were supposed to do anyway. I just didn’t expect that.Also, I love that they found time to fit my car service in during a very busy festive season where service bookings had a backlog of a week an a half. They were able to accommodate me within 3 days. They were able to do that by allowing drop offs at 17:00. I was able to wait at the dealership and do some work and the car was ready by 19:45.

Recently serviced by X3 here, but each visit leaves me feeling as if Ive been cheated. Services and parts and labour are very expensive and even though they assign a dedicated service consultant, Im always contacted by multiple people that does not have any context of what was discussed. Not the experience youd expect from a BMW dealer.

The treatment they give you once your car is out of motor plan is appalling. Its like you are not paying for the work they are doing. They will keep your car for days on end and not even car about the inconvenience they causing you. I spent R53 000 there fixing my car but the treatment Im getting is putting me off BMW slowly but surely.

When reviewing a dealership I believe one should be objective in your response on your experience. When we could not get the job card in the morning I thought just a slip-up. I eventually found it in-between all the other job cards, not completed. I was not given a card who to talk to but thats ok. I got a phone call explaining what they are going to do and I gave some instructions in the regard. I phoned to find out if the car is done but I was gut off, which are fine, things happen. I went to collect the car believing it is done but it was not. I got the car just before 17:30 after a fast clean-up or should I say wipe off. One could write-off many things but to get an experience form any service were you feel you are valued and not just a poor guy with the old car is something you dont get very often. Sorry Menlyn Auto I did not get it from you guys and to be treated differently just because I dont drive the latest i8 dont hold up.

Poor service from the Used vehicle department. I was looking at a vehicle this past week. After climbing in the vehicle, standing around forever, opening and inspecting every bit of the car, there was still no one even remotely interested to assist me although at least 3 of the service people was in direct view of me and the car and they had no clients. Eventually I went and ask if someone is going to help. The one shouted for the other to ask if they want to assist and after I had to almost beg for assistance I was assisted with some info. Needless to say Im still waiting for the quotations, offer to purchase and evaluation on my BMW trade in. This is in stark contrast with my previous experience at the Menlyn branch where the consultant (Steven) went out of his way to assist me and make deals. I will be back at some point and make sure that I never give a sale to these two guys. I also did not get properly introduced or a card or anything.

Dont know whats happening to this place. This Franchise is definitely no real representation for the BMW brand. Brought back my car for the 2nd time. The mistakes being made is ridiculous. The receptionist phones me to pick up my car, while its still on the ramp. Wipers arent replace while I specifically request it. A gearbox whines and Im told its my 2-week old back-tyres. These kinds of mistakes can be expected from BMW menlyn.
