Wow, what can I say. The best service I have received by far. Happy staff. Professional management. Great service and awesome staff. Thank you. My future orders will follow shortly
Wow, when last did you visit. So clean, so organised. Lovely service.
A real gem... Combination of tradition, what you see in movies and real practical things. A very wide variety of clothing / overall /camo options, including camo, old time denim and almost every colour you can think of. Very usefull for camping, reflective gear, waterbottles, belts, warm jackets, big cookware and a few interesting finds. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. Definately worth a visit
Lots of goodies. Tents, clothes, camping and outdoor gear. Custom made tents and covers in canvas and other materials. Friendly service.
Fast friendly service in a neat and tidy facility.
New and secondhand goods are on offer here. The range is very extensive and ranges from military surplus goods to security and camping goods. If you are prepared to browse a bit, you are sure to find something that will interest you.
Very cool place and a lot of army stockcheck them out
Great service and very professional. product knowledge extensive and well explained.
Love the variety and quality, prices are however a bit steep!
Ok so this is a fly fishing boot review.... Bless the socks of Army Stores! If youre a small stream fisher who likes to wade in Drakensberg streams with loose rocks underfoot, (freestone streams) you dont need felt boots, you need army style (paramilitary) canvas boots.Like the light brown (nutria) BOVA Guard boot that only Army Stores sells retail in SA, as far as I can see. These come in at a fraction of felt wading boots. Add comfy insoles (inner soles) and youre set. They also sell Boabab brand canvas boots in light green, black and navy, about R100 less.Note, since COVID, its tough for Army Stores to get stock of BOVAS.Maybe just look at updating the prices on the website a bit more often, there was a R29 price difference between the website and the till price for the Bovas.Guys, keep up the good work, its a great store, and really easy to find from the N14.
Excellent service! Everyone very helpful. A very professional outfit!
The server was excited & friendly. He was informative and open
Get all your essentials under one roof. From tents to trailers,Security uniforms to military utensils.
OMW I absolutely love this store. Timeless pieces for collectors of militia memorabilia. Great camping and outdoor items that you will not find anywhere! Spoilt for choice. Definitely advise a visit if youre around Pretoria West.
More of a PPE store than an army store. They do have some Nutria and other camos but it seems to be fong kong products. Lots of Sterling brand. The browns that I were looking for were R400. That wasnt a good price in my books. R225 and up for low quality printed camo shirts. On the plus side its run by very nice and helpful Pakistani guys who were extremely polite and helpful.
I went to do some emotional shopping there... got a bag pack and some smaller items.. quite a nice place to hang around, the staff is friendly, parking is guarded, and for the military fans its quite a little haven... but then again I like to dig around for wares and look at strange used stuff....and play with them when no-one can see. They have some cool gas masks also.
They are great, had what I was looking for, customer service was good.
Very good and fantastic service
Nice goods to goose from
For big guys
Second hand items overpriced.
Get your Boshoed here
My experience started at the parking all the way to the entrance to sanitize. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are on top of their game. Will definitely recommend the shop to my collegues at work and my family
Easy to find, big selection, helpful staff
Quality products old and new
Well stocked with necessary goodies
Extremely expensive unfortunately
Interesting place to browse through. All kinds of camping, bugg out, tactical gear available.
Yes the service is slow at the pay points, but I dont worry.Took me back to the army years... so many cool stuff to buy for camping...The main shop is okay to wander about in. You must scratch around in some areas to see all the items .The major warehouse at the back is a challenge and it could be slightly dangerous, but be brave and have a look.If you were in the military you will find it rather interesting to look in the all the alleys.
It has a lot of goods available but its expensive, for instance a pair of Army boots is priced at R1400!
Super goods
This is not what I expected at all. The prices are not very good at all. So pricey for products that I wouldnt think is so expensive at all. The service is poor to say the least and that is a compliment for the service here. Allot of junk for sale I went there once Wong ever go back.
Wide variety of new military surplus items, priced very competitively.
Great store if you like army and camping stuff. They also supply various tent types, from one-man to catering tents.Has a wide selection of safety clothing as well as safety accessories.Just be careful in leaving valuables in your vehicle before entering the store, it is located in an area known for smash and grab crime. They do have a car-guard, but rather be safe than sorry.
FUN store. Ive never seen anything like it. We had a field day exploring the store. Friendly helpful staff. Locating the store is very easy even with public transport.
Everything military u may need, they got it.
Always prepared to make a deal....bought foam mattresses ...fair price
Nice place
In love with army gear but no plans of going to to the actual army? Then youve come to the the right place. The army store is a one stop shop for all your army gear, from clothes to equipments. Quality guaranteed.
Awsome quality clothes
Expected lower prices, but they do have mountains of stock. Very big piles that you have to search through by yourself, climbing over other piles to get to something that caught your eye. Great variety of stock. Prices arent clearly marked
Friendly staff that help you find what you want
Pretty terrible for the back. Clothes are just in piles and dirty. Very little organising. You have to climb over and under boxes. When you do eventually find something its very expensive. R120 for a plain vic bay green shirt which is normally R30. R1200 for an overall. R300 for 25 year old brown pants you found on the floor. R300 for an old belt.
You can buy anything from place
I like the shop
It depends on what you are looking for but good products and good service especially the tent section
This shop is in an unsafe place. Chaos on the shelves. No order
A good business place, good service by employees n employers.Eveready to be of help to customers.Enjoyed to see all I needed here.
Great prices and for a camping enthusiast, it has great variety, all pretty old school though, so dont go there if you want a bright pink tent, its not going to go well.
Good variety of products and supplies, some items are well priced but then there are the rest
Great
Nice place to be.it reminds me....,....the history of my country when Im inside there.Memories and Memories.
Good stuff but the owners not willing to negotiate better prices for old moth eten garments. Realy bad from them.
Good place to buy camping clothes and leisure shoes. Not much army stuff.
Good place to look for outdoor stuff. Get strong tent peggs there.
Not bad, bit pricy
This place is a depressing and full of neglect with pile of top grade military equipment left to rot at the bottom of a storage room and good quality boots left in the rain to die and the people running it are heartless and just wanting to make money if you love militaria or believe in the old South African army dont come here
They are very helpful
Nice to see what they have but know your prices before you go.
All you need from an army store supplier. But some items are far more expensive than at Makro or buying secondhand. Yet I will always come here to see what they have.
Make sure you have lots of time spare :) this is a wonderful place
Went with my Supervisor to show me important things
Love this store! Its a bit expensive but worth the money.
Service great
Best service
Excellent place to buy your camping gear and catering stuff
Good for PPE, but there is very little army surplus.
I am definitely going to re-visit this place when I have money
Store is a mess, unorganised. Staff not very helpful. Limited parking.
You can get new and old stuff there
The best
Great place. Really affordable backpacks.
Sadly not the store I remember. Had some fond memories there as a young guy.
If you want a good deal, this is your place for it.
Second hand stuff way too expensive... would rather go buy new for the same price or less elsewhere.
Friendly and helpful staff with a great selection of outdoor gear
Nice place for outdoor / survival shopping...
The store is well organized service is good.
Not what i expected. Lots of cheap chinese knockoffs.
Expensive, it used to be non expesive to buy from.
Good place to find good equipment
They sell all camping and military things
Friendly service very helpfull
If you looking for old Mil clothes
All and any Army supplies you can think of. They also stock camping equipment. They have a large stock supply of overalls, safety shoes and boots.
I would not really name it surplus. Most of it is new stuff and the prices are not that cheap from what you would expect from a surplus store.
Was expecting a larger variety and prices aren’t that good
Not very helpful.Quoted one prices charched more
Lot of goodies for us When we guys.
Everything is good and perfect
Alot of army stuff and camping too
The shop where things are cheap and available all the times.
Lots of equipment however zero interaction with the customers.
This place got a lot of Military stock and camping gear
Bit pricey on there old army reject stock and socks
Brilliant place to shop
Its a nice and safe place
Interesting stuff in the shop
Wide range of outdoor goods, hunting, tents, outdoor clothing, and many more
