Good service all over. We did not buy anything. Looking for a stove turned out to be more work than we thought. But the people at Hirschs was patient. Andswering all out questions and showing us everything. Even asked for different options in the stores. They really went out of their way to assist. And that is highly appreciated.

Purchased a Bosch oven from Hirsch and paid for special racks for the oven. It had to be ordered and this was in December 2019. I have been going back to the Hirsch store in Silver Lakes Pretoria to enquire. They can see the payment but all different excuses for not getting the product. This is now 19 months later and no feedback and no product as promised. If this is the service Hirsch is giving and taking money without delivering on their promises, people should consider where they spend their money

After a very rough day, I just wanted to get a decent big screen television and a coffee machine. Shocking service. I bought an #AEG gas stove. Its been broken for 4 weeks now and the service department promises to get back to me daily but never do. I have to phone and then I get another promise to phone me tomorrow but they never do. Find another provider who cares about after sales.

Bent and scratched fridge delivered at 18:30 on Thursday night. Went to store on friday, took an hour to organize a replacement fridge. Was informed that my fridge will be the last delivery saterday. Basically beign told we bought the fridge on special so we must be happy with the level of serves we receive.

Silver lakes Branch is completely useless. Been there 3 times already, they always have great sales but never stock, also no one is able to tell you when stock is expected.

Excellent service

I bought a Kitchen Aid blender from Hirsch back in March. It was working well until 2 months when it stopped blend. I took it into the store a few weeks later for some repairs and they had stole me that it should be ready in a few days and they’ll give me call. A week later hadn’t received an update from them and so unfortunately I’m the one that had to call to find out about the progress.It’s been over a month now and I still haven’t received my blender back. I even had to go into the store to find out what the delay is and only then did they mention that some of the parts are coming from Cape Town and there’s some delays. I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in the service and communication to their customers. One shouldn’t have to wait this long for something to be fixed, especially with no communication of progress.

Purchased a fridge online for collection at this branch, have been given the run around by the store and online service as to what the process is. Only to later find out that there is no stock of that item but no one can tell me that or be upfront.After contacting Francis he really helped and managed to contact the right people and changed my perception of the store and I have changed this review from 1 to 4, thanks Francis and Merline!

Please do yourself a favour and read my reviewThis is about a specific and special lady called Marlene.This rating and review is all about her.I would appreciate it if the CEO and directors of Hirsch would just take 1 moment of their time /life and read this.Today i was angry as never before in my life. for a simple reason.... a Refund.I sincerely apologize to Marlene the whay i order her to do exactly what i want her to do regarding my refund.I placed Merlene under severe pressure in making her call head office to pay me immediately as Ive been waiting for my refund since Saturday.She is a wanderfull person with a great honest hart, that i broke inside her.... and i cried and begged her to forgive me.Weve made friends today and cried together. Her husbad also works at silverlakes branch, and i asked her to call him for him to forgive me, so that i can go home and pray and ask for God for forgivnes to myself as for Marlene and her husband forgave me....She walked me out to my car and offered me to accept a special meal that she wants to prepare for me, wich iam going to collect from her house tomorrow.From her side all was cleared and sorted and a mail was send to head office on Saturday and in the mail stands immediate payment on refund as she promised.I treated her in a way that nobody deserves, she kept on begging me for just 1 more day so that head office finance aprove and give clearance to pay back my R7800 that was paid on Friday, and she assist me in a highly professional manner.She eventually cracked up and still while she was crying beged plead me for just 1 more day, and that I will receive my redund tomorrow in my bank acc.She eventually asked her husband to add and help her to transfer money over to her personal acc and go and withdraw the R7800 for me.I told her that she will not do that and i refuse to take her money.... i wanted the financial manager to pay me ... thats is actually very simple.They must just logg in to their bank account and do a immediate pay and clear to my acc out of their millions or billions Rand in the Hirsch Standard bank acc.... i receive a sms and the money shows in my acc...... i walk out and everybody is happy.But the problem was not Marlene and she had to deal unfortunately with me, it was head office finance that did not do their work.The financial people whom i asumed gets paid a good salary doesnt work on weekends, while Marlene and her husband have to work on weekends to make meats end for end of the month pay-day, and actually works and do her work with pride and same for her husband so that Hirsch bank balances grow biggerI personally challenge the CEO of Hirsch with his Director team wherever they are to book a flight ticket and actually go and meet a very special person whom works for them, to go to Silverlakes Branch and just spend 10 min of their life in meeting a wonderful lady Marlene and her husband.I want the CEO to actually have a conversation with her and meeting her and get to know her. Trust me you will be surprised...actually great fulfilling in seeing someone who are willing to make a plan to get money in her acc to go to a bank and withdraw their own saving or even only all the money she and her husband have to keep me happy while she is crying.Hirsch,s silverlakes read this review, to see if the CEO will go and meet her, and also stand up for her for what shes being through with me today, and phone head office finance and name the persons at finance who whenever opened the email, and didnt do anything regarding my refund, and that the CEO also tel the world when and whom opened what day and time the request and actually did not do her or hes work in doing only 1 thing, Customer service and keeping clients happy, and actually do what Marlene and her husband do.... Had some issues trying to get a warranty repair sorted out directly with the supplier for a couple of weeks. Mario reached out to me and asked me for the details. I received a call from the supplier the same day and techie was sent out the next day to inspect the appliance.

Staff very willing to help at this store. On delivery, the guys forgot a tool to remove a part of my washing machine back. They promised to come back later on that same day, we kept in contact, he said 8.30pm, then 9.30 then finally he called at 10pm and said he cant make it but will come first thing in the morning. He came at 8am the next day. Overall Im happy with Hirsch, staff was very helpful.

A huge range of products, however I found the prices to be, on average, higher than the competitors. Its pointless paying a couple of thousand Rand more for the exact, identical product. The staff were friendly and helpful, but my assistant disappeared after I asked question which he could not answer. Said he was going to find out, but he never returned, so I left. I wont go back, i will rather go straight to the competition.

Dishonest employees. Went to buy a TV today and after specifically asking if it is a smart TV and being told it is, it wasnt a smart TV. Not the first time we had issues with Hirsch Silver Lakes. Please train your employees better.

From the moment we entered the shop we felt welcome. We were greeted by a staff member who directed us to section of the shop we needed to visit. Again we were assisted by a very knowledgeable salesperson who gave us excellent service. Just seeing the variety of products in the section we were in made us curious and eventually left the shop with more items than initially planned. We were given a sizeable discount after asking for it and were also effortlessly given a store card which gives you discount. The products are well priced and the main item I bought was by far the cheapest of all other shops in the area. Will definitely visit again.

Very expensive

I hardly come to Pretoria, but I was happy I did that day, because I discovered a beautiful shop in Hirschs Silverlakes and more than that they hosted an event every month where entrepreneurs can network and support one another. I thought that was a great initiative. And they also have this happening at all their various branches. So Id recommend you check with one closer to you when they may have any such events. It as really very pleasant and totally well worth it. 😊❤️👍🏼

Very poor experience with the sales person. Usually the sales people are very knowledgeable on the product, however today I had the worst experience. Very poor communication and not knowledgeable at all. I would have bought the product there today, if someone else helped me that had knowledge on the product.

Great variety of products and friendly, knowledgeable staff. However, the delivery service is not satisfactory. You are asked whether you want delivery before or after 12:00 the next day. I chose before 12:00 and changed my plans for the day accordingly. Delivery eventually took place around 14:00, 2 hours late, messing up my whole day.

I have been to this branch of Hirschs a few times for different appliances. They have an extensive range of all the different items you would normally look for. Staff are for the most part well informed about their products, and willing to help. I have also had to order replacement parts, which went smoothly. I would recommend them.

I called 6th May 2020 and reported a faulty dryer purchased 17th October 2018. I am still waiting to Lindie or Seosen to return my calls and respond to my emails.
