Worst accomodation ever. Dont go that place, youll never get your deposit back as it is some sort of punishment for moving out. Youll submit documents for payments of your deposit and wait forever until they claim that they have paid you your deposit according to their debtors book and yet cant even prove that indeed a payment was made to your account. They take advantage that most students dont have access to legal help, so if you are a student save yourself from all this hassle.

This is my third year at Savana Residence and I can truly say that I approve of the rules, Management style and level of security. I have no bad feelings towards anyone of higher authority here because theyre just doing their jobs. Of course the rules are a bit harsh and high school-like but they ensure that you study and pass

Its such a hassle to get your deposit back. It feels like you are being bullied for moving out. Apparently they are busy and I guess when one is preoccupied bills cannot be paid. How convenient. Its been two weeks! Had tables been turned there would be interests added. But hey you are just a struggling student.

This is my fourth year staying in Savana, lekker place. Just like any other house they have their rules, and their rules are helpful because they keep on reminding you that you came to here to study. Admin lady is a very friendly person, easy to talk to, and the security is tight.

The worst student accommodation I have ever came across, the building is such a mess and yet students are expected to pay such high amounts of money and they dont even alert students when ever the maintenence team is there you will just find people in your room.

Excellent residence for Students

Ill be honest this res is well run so clean no problems the only problem is that no sleep overs for friends theres a curfew. Your girlfriend cant vist/Boyfriend thats the only annoying part over all well run place well run

Not the best accomodation if you are a tertiary student because theres a curfew rule of 11-12pm, even before lockdown the curfew was still there. so if you are in university dont stay here because all your other friends will be going out and you’ll be stuck bcz you have a curfew. the gate is locked after that. no hot water half of the time. it could’ve been better i guess.

Horrible place!! I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone i know,first of all the security guards are not friendly and how is it that after 10pm we can’t get fresh air in the garden? As a student,you sometimes do need that change of scenery to get yourself in check. I didn’t have hot water the whole weekend this week and when i raised my concern,i got told to wait for maintenance on Monday?its raining outside and mina i have to shower with cold water mxm

Nice place for students and less cost.

My stay here was okay but I experienced some issues. For instance most of the time we had no hot water, our toilet had rust and it leaked and when we put a complaint on the matter they would come and but some stuff to stop it temporary and then 2 weeks after it would leak again. The rooms they show you before you move in are totally different from the ones we stayed in, the flooring had bed stamps, the study tables were vintage(old). I made a mistake with not reading the contract fee, please note that you will not get that R 900 or whatever money it is back. I made a mistake with not asking the lady to clarify it to me.On the good note the management is friendly.P.s this was not during the lockdown

Awesome safe study environment !

This is a worst place a person could live in the wifi is slow sometimes does not work at all. In some days you will be showering all of the sudden there is no hot water you bath with cold water in winter. I would not say it is safe there cause the security is not there at all times. There are cockroaches everywhere even though you report they do nothing about it. Also when you ask for your deposit back it takes time for you to get it you need to keep calling and they keep telling you stories and silly reasons. I certainly would not advice anyone I know to stay there.

The worst student accommodation ever!!..Full of unnecessary rules as if its highschool learners residing there.

My friends live there and are both very unhappy with the place and so is everybody else apparently. I went there the other day and the security guard was rude towards me and treated me like a criminal as I did not have my identity card, and said he said to me I should never set foot there ever again, now I meet my friends outside the premises of savanna. The whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth I would not recommend savanna to anyone especially to a female.

Living in savanna has been the worst experience of my life , the security guards just let themselves in our rooms whether we are inside or not they have no regard for our privacy as a matter of fact this guy recently assaulted a student in their own room and management does nothing about it. We hardly have hot water especially in winter you’ll never find it , the wifi and stoves hardly work and as usually management isn’t doing anything about it. Savanna is the worst!

They need to paint rooms and fix their properties and change the time also its a little bit early for them to close the gates around 22:00
