I am honestly so thankful for each and every person at Valley Farm.My dog injured his back leg and I took him to the local vet (not Valley Farm), thinking that Valley Farm is too expensive. The other Vet did not do anything to help or to provide a proper diagnosis (no x-rays, just speculations) and no resolution so I ended up wasting R860 and anyway needed to going to Valley Farm. Valley Farm then charged me only R500 more, BUT a Specialist Vet (Dr Tim) assisted me. He spent 40mins+ to examine my dog properly, take x-rays, reassuring me that my dog is going to be okay and providing me with a way forward.My dog needed surgery, so I took him back the next day. When I went to drop him off, a lady came to admit my dog, and there she spent another 20min to make sure I am okay and going though the operation step-by-step. She didnt know exactly what time my dog will go into theatre, so she said she will message me when he goes in. And she actually did!! Despite her being busy and having a lot to do! When the surgery was done, Dr Tim personally phoned me to tell me how it went and what he had done. (AMAZING SERVICE!)When I went to pick up my dog this morning, the front desk personnel were so friendly and decent. They are truly helpful and patient.To each and every member that assisted me and looked after my little Luke, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I truly appreciate that you care.

We had a positive experience taking our dog here with an eye infection. Staff were friendly and helpful while assisting on a Sunday afternoon. The facility was clean and well organised. They take animal care seriously and I would highly recommend taking your pet here in need.

Our puppy unfortunately involved in a small accident and needed a 10 day stay in the hospital. We dont have a single bad thing to say about our experience with Valley Farm Animal Hospital, every thing was done so professionally and we always had regular updates about his progress and discussions about therapies and diagnostic modalities needed to be performed! I cant imagine any places being better than this hospital and would highly recommend it to anyone needing skilled care for their loved pets! We dealt mainly with Dr Anthea, but also Dr Edmonds and Dr Christina amongst others staff. They were so caring and professional, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them, they are absolute gems!

It is one thing to be good at your job and working with animals, but another when you cant work with clients! Utterly disappointed with how unprofessional the staff is. This practice wont see me anytime soon again! Let me not mention how rude Dr.s speak towards other staff members. They have a condescending attitude towards clients and staff. I have seen people talk better to waitering staff before. I wont refer or recommend them ever again! MONEY HUNGRY WOLVES

Although the wait was long, but the doctors showed compassion for my furry baby especially when I didnt know what was wrong with her. She recovered very quickly and is now back to her old self. The cost was not as scary as I had anticipated.

What a beautiful animal hospital and vet shop. Unbelievable to see such a clean neat place operating so efficiently. Of course I had a animal emergency and of course I visited on a Sunday evening when most people were supposed to be at home and relaxing. This did not deter the veterinarians to give the full attention and professional help to me and my little dog. I knew it wouldnt be possible to wait through the night before I can see a vet in the morning. And so I had to go, the only downside of the story is that because of the late hour and because of it being Sunday evening the consultation fee was quite steep. I would recommend that if at all possible rather wait until the next day to see the vet but if that is not an option this is definitely the one and only place i would have brought my pet. I am happy my dog is happy it was a win win situation. And definitely very grateful to Valley Farm Animal Hospital. They will definitely see me again.

I brought my 10 yr old Pomeranian to Valley Farm for a Patella Laceration operation after 2 unsuccessful surgeries in Secunda. Dr Kraft and his team were very professional and caring. They kept me up to date every step of the way - before and after surgery, every day after physiotherapy. The surgery was a huge success and she is showing remarkable recovery. I will recommend this hospital to anyone who experience challenges with the health of their pet especially for critical surgery. Thank you so much Valley Farm - you impressed me.

Dr. Dean de Kock was professional and thorough. His explanations made it clear that we were in good hands. Combined with previous experiences at valley farm animal hospital I can quite comfortably say that one deals with the team that strikes a balance between competency and practical empathy. If you deeply love your pets, this is a good place to take them for comprehensive care.

I am extremely thankful that they are open 24/7 since i had an after hours emergency. But... i had an awful experience with the particular vet that attended me. I think if you happen to get someone else, then your experience may be great (5 star) but this particular vet had no interest in helping and in my opinion, gave incorrect and unhelpful advice. The secretary was lovely, the premises are state of the art and clean and well stocked, but my 1 star rating is purely because of the particular vet assigned to me.

Great service and always available. Prices are a bit expensive, however they will take great care of your four legged loved ones which makes it worth it. Weve been there a few times and they are excellent to assist after hours for emergencies.

If you have an afterhour emergency, this is the place to go. You are allowed to call for an update on your animal if you cant make the trip out to visit and the aftercare is spectacular. Great service with clean facilities and friendly, welcoming staff. They were ready and willing to explain me through the process of my cats surgery and kept me in the loop. Their pet beds are cheaper than those sold in pet shops in the moot but most of their prices are relatively high. But you are paying for expertise and emergency work so it is to be expected.

Our miniature doberman fell from a 2 m platform late at night and got very badly injured. He did not move or respond, and was barely breathing. We rushed to the nearest animal clinic that was opened, when we got Farm Valley animal hospital the staff was unfriendly, worried about us not wearing masks, but who cares about masks when your beloved dog is busy dying.We waited about 20 minutes before a vet came to help!!!! Terrible service. And they make sure you understand that it is very costly and that you have to pay before they will help you. All they care about is money.The lady at the counter handled our dog so rough when she took him to the back, after we got very annoyed and insisted on helping us since our dog is in a critical condition. Even though they are open 24 hours I would not recommend them at all. We want vets that love animals and do not only care about the money!. Please send your counter staff for proper training since they are arrogant, unfriendly and do not care about animals at all. We need vets that can act quickly and effectively. Do not recommend them at ALL!!.

Its 1am, pouring with rain and I am so happy I brought my labrador here. Its not a vet, its a proper hospital, just for furry friends. Thank god this place exists. Swift efficient service! And such friendly staff. Couldnt leave without getting my Labrador a new toy either!

What a pleasant experienceWe had to drive from Montana as we have no after hour vet hereAnd even if I had to wait an hour to be assisted, the doctor had to fix a broken leg and a asthma cat before us, I was so happy. The vet did the most thorough examination ever. Gave the best immediate solution, and treated by dog and pup as if they were the most important dogs alive. The bill was half of what I expected. This is the vetinary clinic that we use in Pretoria, even though there are many vets closer to our home. Valley Farm Animal Hospital has a large staff contingent; is open 24/7; and with the facilities on site, is able to perform many tests that other vets have to send out for.

You pay for convenience with them being open 24hrs, so be prepared to see that on your bill, nice that they have more specialized equipment and some specialists employed, as compared to other Vets. A good number to have in case of emergency, as you know someone will be there to help.

Thank everybody at Valley Farm Animal hospital for the professional service you gave us. Will definitely be back.. hopefully under better circumstances.

Had an incredibly terrible experience at Valley Farm Hospital. My Dachshund was paralyzed from slipping a disk within his spinal chord. The nurse/doctor at the hospital gave me 2 options. To pay 27K upfront (with no details as to what the 27K entails) or put down my pup. I told him that Im in shock and i honestly dont know what to do right now, let me make some phonecalls. He got annoyed by my phonecalls and kept interrupting them for an answer from me.I told him my partner is on his way to the hospital to meet me here and to ask further questions. The doctor said to me please can you make a decision quickly, our surgeons wants to go home and we dont want to keep them here all day now do we? (this was at 13pm. The hospital for surgery closed at 16pm and the rest of the time its a 24hr hospital) he showed zero empathy for my situation and focused solely on the money and me having to make a decision quickly or to get out. I asked him to please just give me 5 minutes to just think about what to do and to wait for my partner to get here. I also told him that he was being extremely insensitive and i dont appreciate his attitude and surely doctors and nurses should be more empathetic towards their clients and the animals? We took our pup and went to Onderstepoort and they helped us and we paid significantly less for the surgery and the manner of interacting with their clients was much more at a professional level.
