They are very friendly with great knowledge about the mechanics on a vehicle. They keep you updated on faults, pricing and the timeframe to fix your vehicle. Very competitively priced and still gives you the piece of mind as they are RMI approved. The only mechanical workshop that I will take my vehicle to to be repaired and serviced.

The staff here are extremely professional, very willing to help and were willing to be patient while I drive up and down to get the right part for my gearbox. They are also very friendly and kind. Service was friendly and efficient. I was however made to wait for payment to be made when I wanted to collect the car. It is a company vehicle and the company has to pay by EFT. I understand why you have this policy, but I have work to do and cannot wait around on a Friday afternoon. It is lucky my employer was available to do an immediate payment. We will have to return to our previous mechanic as we as employees can simply collect the vehicle after service and the payment is sorted out with my employer.

In my opinion, extremely unprofessional. Fortunately, I do not take my vehicle to them for servicing. I had to assist my mother in law, as it was the 4th time she has taken her vehicle to the company, with the exact same problem, and every time a different diagnosis (obviously having to pay every time for whatever was fixed) - with the last visit it would cost her R15 000 to fix the problem........ Would advise anyone to insist on a running update of cost (quote) and go ahead, whilst your vehicle are being serviced.

I booked my Ford Bantam in for a fan belt replacement. An hour or so after having booked the vehicle in I received a phone call that in addition to the oil service my vehicle requires a replacement fan belt. When I pointed out that in fact it was there only for a belt replacement and not an oil service they were quite puzzled. However, the belt was replaced and I collected the vehicle. Whilst driving home I noticed that the main instrument cluster, nor the radio was not functioning. I could not at that point in time return to the repairer due to another commitment.This problem was akin to having had the battery replaced without the electrical system being kept energised. I reset the radio code to get that going, but the instrument cluster was dead. After a phone call the workshop asked me to return with the vehicle. Upon arrival they checked all the fuses, etc., but could not find an answer to my problem. Eventually it was insinuated that this was an old problem. I left it at that as I was not in a mood to argue with them. The simple question then remains that if the instrument cluster was defective when the vehicle arrived, how did they obtain a correct kilometer reading from the electronic odometer?Go figure if next you want to have your vehicle repaired or serviced by an enitity that hides their mistakes in this way?Incidently, I have many years of technical experience at a very senior level in the motor industry.

Their prices an ability to get the job done gets 5 out 5. They constantly completed large and complicated repairs on my three vehicles.

These guys are always willing to assist immediately to help diagnose a problem and then to either fix it on the spot, or book a repair. They were the only guys, on more than one occasion, to find a fault that the so called brand specialsits couldt find, and repair it promptly and very cost effectively. This is why I return to them, even though Im from another province.

I highly recommend Menlyn Motor Services. I had a big problem. I am stuck in Limpopo and my wife is stuck in Pretoria as a result of the lockdown. My wife’s vehicle broke down which was a major problem. I called Menlyn Motor Services and they immediately send technicians out to assess the problem. They then towed the car to their workshop. There were some parts that needed replacement and they put a lot of effort in to find the parts (a lot of part shops are still closed) which was not an easy job. A couple of days later the car was fixed and my wife is mobile again. I will definitely use them in the future for all my vehicles.

Not very impressed with these guys. I told the mechanic about a strange noise from my vehicle. I even told him that I get the feeling it could be one of the shocks, since the sound is worse when Im braking downhill. After a couple of days when I collected the car they told me that they could not find anything wrong with the car and charged me for the inspection. I ended up selling the car a month later and one of the people brought a mechanic with that spotted within the first 5 minutes that the front, right shock was leaking, which was causing the noise. These guys were seriously not even bothered enough to investigate the problem properly.Response to owner:Yes, I was at Car Service City Hatfield as well and they also missed the problem, I typed out a unique review for them as well and did not as you falsely stated copied the review. Why would I lie about something like this? If your records dont show me in your database as a customer it is a technical problem on your side, I still have the receipt. Calling me a liar is an extremely serious allegation and I hope you understand the legal repercussions of doing so. You have absolutely no legal ground to stand on since I have only spoken the truth on an open review platform. By presenting the receipt in a court of law it would immediately void your accusation that I was clearly never a customer, so you are welcome to attempt taking legal action. Threatening honest negative reviews from unhappy customers on Google maps with false legal accusations is no way to win over the trust of new customers. I have taken a screenshot of your message, so there is not point in deleting it or trying to change your response.Update: Menlyn e-Car motor services called me today and apologized for falsely accusing me of writing a fake review and said that they will be more conscientious in the future. They assured me that they will follow up on the issue to prevent a similar situation from happening to future customers.

I took my car to Menlyn motor services this morning; it was my first time there and what an amazing experience it was! Everyone was so friendly and helpful; they arranged for an uber to take me back home and pick me up again - all at their cost. They checked my car over and told me exactly what work needed doing and what not and what they could do and what not - all at no charge. A really great experience👍

Driving from Tzaneen to Somerset West my car has developed a vibration which I felt may be a wheel bearing issue. Stopping off at Lynnwood Bridge Google gave up Menlyn Motor Services as a specialist option and the reviews were positive. On calling and a brief discussion I was directed to the workshop where a team member was waiting at the entrance to guide me in! 😊👍 After a short time it was found not to be a bearing or suspension issue, although the adjustments where done, but a tyre issue! Fortunately right next door is Tyremart who then took over to replace all the tyres etc... but only after MME made sure I got a top notch deal!My drive home was asa result spectacularly good with my 23 year old Merc SLK in a happy place! If only we had this level of service in the Cape!10Star rating!!!! 👍👍👍👍

I took in my Z4 to Menlyn and they finished it on the same day. When I got there I noticed some more issues and the staff stayed an hour after closing time to assist me. This included the owner as well as Marius, who was not even responsible for the car. They then kept it over night and assisted in the morning for no additional cost. I made an appointment to replace front wheel bearings, based on a Google diagnosis. The expert who took on the job, aptly named Marius, went beyond my expectations to find the real problem and saved me unnecessary expenditure. They repaired my vehicle during the most awkward time, just before Christmas. I recommend them with confidence, you become part of the family when you visit them.

Great service and they can almost fix anything on your car. It is very pricey though, so be prepared to pay a pretty penny. That pretty penny will be worth it!

The manager assigned to my car refused to give me back my parts. Car went back five times with a problem it did not have before it went in, leaving me to go to another place for repair which cost me double it did for e-car to break it. This review is even a waste of time, but hey, they mailed me for a review.

Please ensure that you see the parts removed from the your vehicle and that you see the boxes that new parts come from. Paid for repairs in Jan 2017 and discovered in Nov 2017 that my vehicle still had the original factory fitted parts even though I was charged labour and parts by Menlyn Motor Service e-car. Been struggling since to get my matter resolved. Think twice and rather take your vehicle to an honest reputable service centre.

They worked on my Renualt Duster 1.5dci, 8 months later everything is still in order. They tried to convince me that my turbo was faulty and that I have to replace it. It was very clear to me that the car was in limp mode and that the problem was not turbo related. They disagreed. I took my car to another garage, it turns out that there was a small wire that was damaged and it caused the car to go into limp mode. The other garage also confirmed that the turbo system was 100% perfect. Dont fall for it! You will only waste your time and money. They dont find the problem before they start working on the car, they just replace parts until the car works again. A turbo replacement would have costed close to 15k and would have been a complete waste of time and money. Finding the problem first is a very basic first step towards repairing a car. If you dont know how it works, dont try to repair it!
