My mother in law called Van Biljoens on the 2nd of August 2021 for her Kelvinator oven seal that broke and the door that did not seal properly. A service person was send out on the 3rd August 2021 and replaced the oven seal and said he had to order a oven catch. My mother tried to bake again on the 3rd and the seal broke again. She phoned the lady by the name of Suzette the same day as well as the next 2 days. Each time my mother received a reply that Suzette is at the back and she will call her back. Up untill the 10 th August my mother did not receive any call back or any response from Van Biljoens or Suzette. My mother then contacted another company that responded within 1 hour of her call and replaced the oven seal again. The technician then told my mother that the door catch must just be adjusted and he did it and the oven is working perfectly. Where it would have cost her just R650 for the call out and new door seal if she made use of the other company from the beginning, it cost her R1260.00. R610 for your call out fee and door seal with no further reply or service and R650 for a company that render immediate service and the right service. As my mother bakes every day for an income this is really bad service from your company that says it look after their clients. My mothers SR nr is 60663.

If I could rate zero, I would.Took DeLonghi coffee machine in for repairs in December . . . after 4 days, we were informed nothing was wrong. Of course, you pay a non refundable amount of R300.00 just for testing. We thought, maybe, after them fiddling with the machine it was working . . . it was not. Took it back in January. After not hearing anything for 2 weeks, we followed up. They were going to phone with a quote. They did not. After 2 days followed up again. My husband was told the machine was fixed. They serviced it without our consent and we just had to pay. We did, assuming the machine would work now. Once again - it did not! We had to take the machine back a 3rd time, for them to actually FIX the problem, and once again had to pay - they accommodated us by not asking for work done, but only for the part, but in the mean time, we had to drive there - 3 times, and we stay in Irene! They are NOT professional. Their communication suck, and we will definitely not ever go back.PS. I actually know of someone thats got a case registered with the ombudsman due to bad work done by them . . .

To buy spares - definitely the place to go. Bought appliances from you, then serviced washing machine, no problem, and then handed in my dishwasher for repair. After following up monthly on the repair progress - answer was next week/waiting for X part/never responded to message. After 12 months given up, bought a new one. Mine is either standing in your yard with the other 1000 and used for spare parts /already sold. Never again !!

Repaired a device and it worked for only 6 weeks. (At least I had a 3 month repair service warranty). Took appliance back and (so far) waiting 9 days for second repair. After numerous promises of “we will call you back”, still waiting. Hoping this time my appliance will be fixed properly at least.Update: Eventually after 17 days Of no-one phoning back I phoned and was told the device is ready for pick-up.

Repaired my Kenwood Chef without confirming the quote. Claim that they phoned myself and my wife, but neither of us ever received any communication nor confirmed the quote. Then the lady rudely disagreed with me, insisting that she confirmed the quote. How can she question my / our integrity.?? What an unprofessional bunch. Don’t go there...

After the initial review (below) month ago my husband received a call from a manager about a week after, promises made, today 1 Feb 2021, still nothing. Funny to see how positive feedback from clients receive feedback but negative reviews are ignored. Jutst going to refresh my memory on the small claims court procedures, but except for complaint with the CGSO I think I will go to court. My previous cases in the small claims court were successful. I want to inform this company that after Covid there is lot of good people who lost their jobs that will fix your appliances at your home for a good price. Your constant failure to respond to numerous telephonic enquiries and WhatsApp enquiries regarding my Samsung Dishwasher that was handed in for repairs during June 2020 refers. You fail to give a satisfactory response as to what is causing the delay in repairing the machine and promise to call back with feedback, but never do (Suzette) As a last resort I am left with no choice but to seek assistance from the CGSO, a complain will be lodged today. What a disaster. 4 weeks later and my fridge still not repaired or any notification on what the problem might be. Promises ro call me back, nope, does not happen. Admit, after calling and complaining they sent me a loan fridge. Admit that January might be a bad time of the year to get parts. Unfortunatley all requests to speak to the owner are blocked. If they can just communicate and keep up to date then they might get a 1.1 star.

Busy, they dont stock Miele bags according to the salesman. Usually they have what you require though.

Poor communication and if you complain they come with an attitude. They replace parts at a much higher price than you pay in their own shop with the excuse that they had to buy it out because they were out of stock none of which was communicated to me. I would suggest finding a more professional service provider for washing machine repairs.

Very helpful. The parts we were looking for were discontinued. The salesman did his best to help us find parts that fit. We visit Van Biljoens frequently and get every time good service.

The same refrigerator, just keeps breaking and I end up having to pay for collecting and delivery and the cost of repairs after it breaks 2 weeks after the warranty expires - this is the 4th timeI suspect it’s either poor workmanship or inferior parts , or bothCoincidentally, my father-in-law has also had the same experience for the third time that a freezer has to be returnedEnough is enough!

There is always a little bit of a wait to get served in the spares que. But it is worth the wait. Friendly staff that gives one the feeling that they really want to help you. And they know what they are talking about. This is hands down. The best place in Pretoria to get appliance spares.

I just want to make a statement that I have never received such bad service from one company to another. It has been 3 months phoning and begging for reports and repairs to be done and still nothing, I have spoken to Hennie he also then failed on reporting back and giving feedback but there is NO worse service provider than Suzette and she does not care whether you asked nicely, shout or beg she does not care at ALL.I most definitely believe that if their service is that bad that they will not last and I honestly will never in my life recommend them to anyone or any other company for there service.I did not want to write such a review but I have just had enough!!!

I recently needed to to find a replacement power switch for my dishwasher. A friend of mine recommended Van Biljoens since they carry a large spectrum of appliance parts. I was not disappointed. I got the part and was in and out in a matter 10 minutes.

Didnt had the same experience when I took my stove. Came back with scratches it didnt had and the staff said sorry!!!

HORRIFIC SERVICE - Took my Delonghi coffee machine for a service. Waited more that a week for a quote after phoning them every day. Every time they say they will phone back- never happened. Finally went to pick up my machine after 2 weeks. People are rude when confronted. They will never see me again.

They repaired my oven at a very high price, when I switch it back on 5 min after they left, it was still not working, they came back.Took the oven, and after 3 months they did not receive the parts, and they still have my oven.So I had to buy a new oven after many promises.

They charged me a call out fee and a hours labour for about 20 minutes work(refilling an aircon). When we called to explain that a call out fee inclues an hours labour they told us to get lost. So unless you want to pay R1600 to have your aircon refilled dont get these guys to do it.

I handed in my Smeg dishwasher there for repairs. 5 days from behind them call and never come back to you. Just apologize for waiting for a quote and never call you back. Then decided to fetch him and when I found him both sides were scratched deep where he was handed in with no scratch marks. Extremely unprofessional and I would never take anything there again for repair or recommend them.
