This was the greatest experience and it was my first time going there. I totally enjoyed it. Everyone should try ice skating. Falling is Normal. And you just want more and more. Loved it.

My first time ice skating ⛸ on Sunday, was really fun.

Very cold but the kids enjoyed themselfs

I did not go in, but looking from the windows, I wished I was right there skating. Its very nice and seems to be a safe place.

Good place to take your kids and bound with them all. Sessions only 2hr long so plenty time to shop or eat. Clean areas. Remember if watching to take a blanket for your legs as its kept cold and sitting fot two hrs is long, thank goodness for tuck shop and coffee.. Kids can hire a penguin to help to learn to stand up on ice. Good few hours of fun.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!As you all know I do photos and reviews of places of interest and entertainment on this platform. I currently have over 1.8 million photo views and taken countless photos and never have I had an experience and been treated in such a way. This is what happened:As I took photos of my kids ice skating and of the place to write a review, the manager (so I only learnt later on as he did not bother to introduce or show any identification) approached me, it bordered on harrasment, as the gentleman followed me, picking a fight. Later, he even became verbally aggressive and tried to threaten me with calling security and chucking me out. Again, all this happened without introducing or identifying himself, no ice rink clothes/logos, or showing any form of ID.He simply cross-examined me on the spot with What are you doing? (Im taking photos). Why? (Im a tourist) From where? Whats your name? Where do you live?...Sad thing is, I drove 450 kms to take my kids for a single session ice skating as my wife and I promised them since international schools closed, on a good friends recommendation to go to The Grove Ice Rink.Sad if one ownership has such a monopoly that they can think that they can treat their clients like they want.Zero star rating for them!

This is one of the best places to learn ice skating and to just to have fun in the ice. This is one of the best places where people help each other and have fun sharing a common challenge of avoiding the fall. The atmosphere is friendly. I highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing price.Cant wait to come again so I can try to actually skate (kept hugging the rail, Im a beginner).Also saw them giving ice hockey lessons.Just call ahead, find out when their practicing before coming.

In terms of safety (covid)...is every man for him self...lot of people still dont wear masks. Prevention is better than cure...go get vaccine.

Look, times are tough, but thats true for the consumer as well. Rink times reduced in level 3 to only 120 minutes, but we still pay full price. Thats fine, they also have it tough. But, we get there on opening time of 0930 Sunday, and stand in the queue to get in for 20 minutes. Thats another 18% of our skate time gone. Can one suggest they open the pay queue doors earlier so that we can all get in, but then still only open the ice rink doors at 0930? Would that be too much to ask?

Went here during a 12-2pm session on a Tuesday, the rink itself is very well kept, and the fact that its not busy makes it fun to skate...Of course that would only be if it werent for the poorly maintained skates. These are only generic plastic ones, which is pretty standard for any skate hire. But these skates were damaged, broken, worn out, the list goes on. The staff assured me that they were sharpened (which they werent), and as an avid and regular skater, I knew this wasnt true, almost impossible to skate in and incredibly uncomfortable. Staff are not particularly friendly. Not an impressive experience nor a decent one to say the least.

Great experience but there was nobody at the paying point so we had to wait for a while.

GROVE ICE RINK HAS FRIENDLY AND CARING STAFF ALWAYS THERE TO HELP YOU WITH MOVEMENTS AROUND THE ⛸

The rink itself is good. The price is not bad, especially if you have The Entertainer.But boy I wish I had my own skates. The rentals are too small or too big and super uncomfortable. Their blades are dull and with little grips and probably doesnt help a newbie.

So much fun and very cheap on Sunday nights.

Very friendly people in the area make this a pretty decent spot, even got 2 guys I barely know to pose for me.

Friendly staff, clean facilities and reasonable prices. Tuesday half-price is the best.

This is a very nice ice rink. Only reason I would not give a better rating is due to the staff member at the skate rental counter that has a very bad attitude. So much so that I bought my kids there own skates just to avoid him.

For a first-timer I must say that this place brought out things in me I never thought I had. I found myself enjoying myself even when I was falling. The staff there, does not rush anyone whether young, old, experience or inexperience; they give you a chance to learn for your self, and after a couple of falls here and there youll be assist where you need assistance

Pricing is ridiculous seing as times to skate are now shorter.Cannot book on-line.

The venue is ok. Some of the skates you rent though, are terrible.Rather bring you own skates or swap out ill fitting pairs.

Time flies by too quickly. Remember to take skates two sizes bigger than your shoe size.

The Acadamy training from young to old at the Ice Rink, the Grove are absolutely amazing!!! They have so much pacience with everybody and the scaters who are scared, unsure and struggeling are so nicely assisted. The kindness just shines through! Not even to talk about the passion for scating. It was a pleasure from booking!!!

Great, fun place for a hot day. Management very professional regarding Covid-19 regulations with only 50 people allowed in side per session. I will definitely go back to master my skating skills

Very enjoyable experience.From the ticket guy to the lady getting your skates, everybody was friendly and ready to help without delay.The staff on the rink wasnt very recognisable but there was always somebody to help if someone fell. If it was a patron or staff, I dont know.The only issue I may have is that the bathroom isnt very agreeable.

They work on stricked 2 hour skating rotations due to covid regulations. Sucks if you dont realise and go in for the last half hour of a session, and then have to pay to go in again... Just plan accordingly.

It was very enjoyable, however a bit too many people on the ice ring! The guality of the skates are terrable.

Great when not over crowded, hire boots need to be kept on better condition and blades sharpened. But its still a great time for the whole family.

Its fun family time. I do however think the sessions are too short as we were let in 15min late and did not have full two hour session.

Everytime we visit the ice rink, we have so much fun.People are friendly and helpful, especially when they see you are a novice skater.You can hire skates, but if you have your own I suggest you bring them, as the hired skates are a bit uncomfortable.You pay a once off fee and skate.You can use a locker to keep your stuff safe, so bring a lock or buy one at the kiosk.The rink also host events, which are enjoyable.Overall, a fun place to spend some time.

Not much to say. Pretty decent ice rink.

You guys need stewards. People skating in all directions, groups of people just randomly standing in the middle of a corner. People running on the ice with regular shoes. Also you have a dj booth, get a decent PA system in there and get the place pumping.
