Ideally located.Very friendly and helpful staff.Clean rooms with daily service.Good breakfast.The managers were up to speed coordinating.Safe parking with 24/7 security.Located in the beautiful Mooi River Mall complex which has all amenities required.I definitely recommend.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rates were reasonable. Just small issues/negligence on cleaning and replenishing but overall stay was pleasant.

The rooms and everything in was was super clean. The help dest personnel was multi lingual, energetic and tried to assist as many as he can at once to avoice clients waiting for too long. The 11 oclock check out time was a cherry on top for me cause I managed to wait for my brother to attend to his meeting comfortably in our room. They even managed to give me a new comb as I left mine at home. Lol....Thank you for the best service and comfortable stay

Perfectly situated along the N12 when on road trip. Safe, secure parking behind locked gates. Security guards on duty 24/7. Reasonable and affordable rates for rooms. Rooms are comfortable and adequate.

The Reception was very welcoming. Very beautiful setting. I loved their breakfast. To call the place neat would be an understatement and yes I would definitely go back. Just one thing, their beds are a bit hard for a hotel. Hotel beds for me should be soft, I understand factors around durability, but come on now, I cant be waking up a bit tired due to stiffness of a bed. You can do better Road Lodge😊

The rooms are very clean and they are sanitized before your arrival. The breakfast was packed up early, before 08:20, even though breakfast is meant to be catered for till 09:00, however in saying that, there eas a lovely lady who helped me get some scrambled eggs with sausage for a warm breakfast with a take away on the road meal of fruit and juice with other delightful snacks.

The rooms are very tiny. The bedding is old. For some reason the tv kept switching itself on in the middle of the night. The flushing button in the toilet got stuck. This hotel needs an upgrade

It is because of Brandon Adams general manager at the road lodge Potchefstroom that Im giving a 5 star. This guys service leaves a mark and once you experience it youll never want to book yourself anywhere else. Ive stayed here for 3 weeks and today is my last day but really I wish I can extend my stay. To Brandon and his team Nhlanhla, Tsholo, Priscilla, Thapelo & Thapelo, Gift, Theresia, Asanda Not forgetting your cleaning team and Security you guys rock, you truly showed me that great service still exists in this hard times that we are going through as a country. We were out to dinner at the local Spur, and the experience was terrible.From the second we walked into the door at the Lodge, we were greeted with the utmost friendliness and were treated with respect, by Priscilla. Well done Priscilla, you changed a horrible evening into a day to remember. Not for everything that went wrong during the day, but for that moment we walked in and you didnt just smile, but changed the whole mood and mindset. Its people like you that makes us as business people appreciate our staff. Thank you for everything. We will be back.

Not bad if you have to sleep over inexpensively and not looking for much amenities. Good clean rooms with basic amenities. Not for the person looking for luxury accommodation. Situated next to the mall makes dining and entertainment within walking distance making for a better experience.

Exceptional service

Apart from the passage leading to my room smelling like camouflaged second hand sour cigarette smoke, everything was in good order and no nonsense value for money. Wish the smoking rooms could be clustered away from the non-smoking rooms.At least they give you an option if you would like to include breakfast as hotel breakfasts are usually overpriced when included.

I dont think it is possible to skimp on any aspect of this room any more without taking it away altogether. This is the smallest, most stripped down accommodation I believe I have ever slept in. Definitely not worth the price.This breakfast was also not up to scratch with burnt scrambled eggs and cold filter coffee.

If I were to return to Potchefstroom, Road lodge would be a hotel of my choice. Clean, friendly staff and best of all, it is closer to the mall.

If I could give zero stars, I would.Check in took an unreasonably long time, it was like checking it at the airport to travel abroad. We were forced to sign harshly worded documents.The room was sub-par, depressing is another word. There was a chemical stench in the room. There was hair in my bed as well as bugs. I woke up with dozens of bites on my legs.The next morning, there was no hot water to take a shower. There is no ambiance in the room. Management seemed just as confused as we were about the availability of drinks. The pool was abysmal, it looks like a swamp.What a terrible experience!

Close to everything a person would like to do. The mall , restaurants and its secure. Would like a change of scenery though, all the City Lodge Hotel Group has one mood of setup. One would like bright colours on the bedding to uplift the mood, its too dull and boring sometimes to know that one is expecting stripe bedding in all the Lodges, other than everything is value for money

Awful airconditioning but had a good nights rest

The TV did not work which was really bad. My husband was in the shower and i was in bed and although the person offered to come to our room it should have worked in the first place. We were going to spend another 2 nights but checked out now at 08h30.

Excellent staff, value for money temporary accommodation. Easy check inn and thoughtful staff.

Conveniently located and good enough for a short stay. Bathroom has no ventilation so after one shower everything smells mouldy. Shower is also very mouldy.

The service at the facility was poor except for some in-house and maintenance guy who was quick to resolve the queries. I was given a dirty iron that ruined my white shirt. Breakfast was very poor. The place must be downgraded to a B&B facility.

Genrally well located - the road lodge brand is well maintained and has a strong brand identity - the Mall is convenient and has ample parkin for vehicles - good for quick shopping visits or to grab one quick grub - general amenities are available and the Malaysian maybe busy from time to time -
