Went to the Oudrift lodge garden for a birthday party. The venue is beautiful with the loveliest view of the river. The catering service and food provided by the venue was average.

I was at my sons wedding today and everything was awesome. Food was excellent and the gardens were amazing!! Very cozy atmosphere.

Such a lovely ...safe and peaceful place.With all the water ...I think so much can be done for a beautiful garden which at present seems neglected

Oudrift Riverside Lodge is good value for money. The rooms were clean and spacious with decent beds. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. The Lodge is located just outside Potchefstroom on a large plot with plenty of tranquility and quiet.

Beautiful venue, brilliant food

The wonderful staff prepared a 100% vegan picnic basket especially for us on very short notice. The food was amazing, and the garden and grounds are breathtaking. Plus there is a friendly dog to greet you. We will definitely be back!

A piece of antique paradise tucked away in a corner, is how I felt when I entered the facility. It felt as if time had stood still for this place for many years.Perfectly manicured gardens surrounding a hundreds of years old meticulously maintained wood and stone house, all neatly cornered by the Mooi River. I can imagine why the old discoverers called this place beautiful (mooi).Not a place to rush, not a place for loud music. Nonetheless the Saturday evening we spent there it was full of patrons all chatting away and enjoying the delicious food we were served.I didnt sleep over, and by the time dinner was finished I wish I did.

What a lovely peaceful place! It is by the river and they make picnics that are to die for.

Firstly, on arrival we found a spent condom under the bed. Secondly at 22h00 when we climbed into the double bed we found it was broken and detached from the headboard. We went to reception and repeatedly pressed doorbell and nightbell to no avail. Phoning the contact numbers was fruitless as no one answered. It resulted in me scratching in the dark at the back of my unit for rocks and bricks to try prop up the bed. Unfortunately this was unsuccessful so I resorted to phoning all the numbers available on the website. Eventually someone answered and came to move us to another room. We eventually had a pleasant nights sleep, yet discovered the DSTV was not working when we woke up. All of this is the kind of stuff I expect from a backyard motel, not an expensive guest lodge!

We were there on Saturday night, April 3rd. After we booked. Our kids gave us a voucher for our wedding anniversary. We were extremely disappointed. Not only were we there alone. But we ordered ribs that were cold served. They went to warm it up again. But by then we had already lost our appetite. There was no atmosphere .. Not nice to sit alone in such a big restaurant. Then do not make a reservation. Its beautiful there but ......
