A huge name and fame goes out to Moon Bailey Photography.I contacted Moon in 2019 to book a photoshoot for our holiday in July 2020. I had a special request to edit in three shadow boys, so that I can have a photo of my three miscarried babies. Moon was understanding and had so much compassion for this request. Then lockdown came and we had to move our photoshoot out to June 2021.In October 2020, we were approved as adoptive parents for a little boy. When I contacted Moon to tell her about the additional family member that will join the shoot, she was so excited for us and even checked what his name meant. I could feel the love and warmth in her e-mail as she congratulated us.Then came our long awaited holiday with the photoshoot. We met Moon and her daughter at the beach. What amazed me, was that she knew everybody’s names (all the names of everyone joining was given to her on her booking form). I did not expect that at all. And we were a lot. It was myself, my husband, our baby boy, my parents, my parents-in-law, my brother, my cousin and my two dogs. She knew exactly who each one was.The shoot started and what fun did we have! She is an amazing “entertainer” to make everyone laugh. Everyone was relaxed and nothing was forced. Our little boy got tired and was not always the happiest kid and the dogs, well, they were being dogs, licking paws, licking each other, running in front of a perfect picture, but Moon was not rushed and did not get impatient. She just remained patient and made sure that we were laughing all the time. Needless to say, we enjoyed the shoot much more than I anticipated!One morning there was a mail from Moon with a link. She said that she will still send me the USB with photos and a brag book (which I also didn’t know we would get), but here is a slideshow so long to enjoy. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched that slideshow! She made sections: Celebrating Family, Celebrating Life, Celebrating our new family member. The photos she selected in the slideshow, was perfect for each section. It truly portrayed a celebration.Today, I got the USB and the brag book, enclosed with a handwritten personal note from Moon. I could not wait to look at the photos on the USB and I’m not disappointed! She captured everyone and every moment beautifully! And even amidst the excitement of now having a living child, she honored my request by adding my three shadow boys. It is the most special photo which I will treasure forever. I can’t wait to share the photos, as soon as the adoption has been finalized.The best part about pictures is, that even when the people in the photo change, the memory it contains never will. Thank you Moon for capturing a moment in time for us and making it memorable. Thank you for celebrating our family. Thank you for celebrating our little boy!
