I just got a shock myself to see that. I love surf cafe, and I have only had excellent experiences there. I remember the last time I was there I actually was staying down the road and took a stroll down to surf cafe from the spot I was renting but when I got to surf cafe realised I had forgotten my wallet back at the place. You guys just let me get my takeaway burger and I paid via eWallet when I got home. Thanks, appreciated as always. This place had a great veiw and prices not to shabby. Staff friendly and there was a great atmosphere, even at mid day when they opened. Would of been nice if they had been open since early

What a gem! Enjoyed the casual relaxed atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Food portions are huge which makes it good value for money. Family friendly. Has a distinct coastal sufer atmosphere. Ideal place to go for a meal or just to to chill for a drink with friends.

Chilled out lunch spot with an outdoor seating deck. The chicken enchilada and strawberry smoothie were both delicious!

At first glance, the Surf Cafe looks the part. Great decor and even though there were only two other tables, the atmosphere is great. The service is friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, the food, whilst served quite promptly, was very bland. The banana flapjacks had no banana whatsoever and my wifes natchos lacked any kind of spice. Maybe we just got the morning shift and the evening shift is better. A pity, cause I can see myself having a few cold ones listening to the live music. Id eat somewhere else though.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and brilliant music!

We are in Plett for appr. a week on our holiday along the garden route. There is a bunch of places you can go for good food, also with beach and ocean views. What we’ve found is that beachfront venues are rather overrated by location and underwhelming in food experience.The Surf Café over delivers in food experience and service. We had the Double Pepper Burger (most probably one of the best I’ve ever had), the Milk Shake as well as an Indian Spices Chicken. All was super well prepared, served and eaten. Definitely, one of the spots we will be back for a second time and highly recommended!

Quite a nice venue. Enclosed balcony for the smokers. They do sit down meals at a reasonable price as well as take aways upon request. Place had a mixed demographic. . But mostly a young crowd.. They often have live music.. Acoustic guitar session while we were there with a nice mix of everything. . Staff were friendly and helpful although service was a little slow.. A good all round experience although I would like to point out that there are no views. .

The Surf Café is a super cozy and nice bar which offers a great selection of beer and other drinks as well as snacks like nachos with cheese. Many times per week there is live music which makes it even nicer. The location next to the gas station is not bad at all, but rather exciting. Definitely order one of the local craft beers (we highly recommend the Cloud 7). Our waitress Jamie made us feel comfortable. She was so kind and she comes with another beer the moment you finished the last one. Good job!👍🏻

Very friendly and obliging staff. Had great craic with management and a trainee girl who was great, so much so we returned for breakfast the next morning only to be blown away by more friendliness and laughter. Great place for live music too. Loved this experience

Casual spot. Its called surf Cafe but serves Mexican food. Not that there is anything wrong with Mexican food just a strange name for a Mexican restaurant.

A very laid-back place. One gets sort of a hipster vibe from it, but thats okay. I mostly enjoyed the craft beer on the menu: Cloud 7. The live music wasnt bad either. Although the woman performing the night we were there sang beautifully, I see her making a very succesful album of lullabies for adults. The second time we were there, both the waiters and the barman were very lethargic... And it was early. We ordered the said craft beers again, but unfortunately they were not able to deliver although there were only a few people. We nonetheless enjoyed this Sleep Café and will miss its very relaxed atmosphere.

Had a beautiful lunch with a good friend at this local little restaurant called the surf cafe. I had the grilled hake and my friend had the mixed seafood and they were both delicious. I often go there for there more than divine hamburgers. A must try.

We had a good meal at this restaurant. It looked nice, tasted well and the portion size was also perfect for us. The service was very friendly! The location of the restaurant next to a petrol station looked a little bit strange. However we didnt felt disturbed by it or the street next to the restaurant. But in addition: We sat inside.

The atmosphere is really chilled and layed back, the food too is great. Experiencing live entertainment is truly great, as they arrange local talent to entertain. Loved the morning breakfasts too. The staff are also friendly, with good service.

Very nice place for meet-ups and get-togethers of any kind. Be it just for drinks or deeper conversations. The atmosphere out on the balcony overlooking a busy space and vibey sounds in the background make it the perfect place to go.
