Good food and service, but no Covid protocols observed. Open kitchen made it clearly visible that none of the food prep staff were wearing masks. Bartender, who was also placing toppings on the pizzas, wore a mask around his neck. Staff were eating in between, no hands washed.

Best pizza in Plett! Highly recommend the Francis and Melfi. Eaten with a nice bottle of wine with a view of the Bitou valley at sunset cannot be beaten. The Emily Moon complex is one of the most magical venues in South Africa. A must visit when in Plett.

Simons is one of two restaurants located at Emily Moon River Lodge. The other one is Emilys, whos focus is more on fine dining, whereas Simons is focused on pizzas and cocktails, and has a relaxed atmosphere. They also have some craft beers available on tap. The other patrons were a mix of friends getting together or couples going out on a romantic date - the locals hang out there as well. I had a Jack Black lager, my wife a strawberry daiquiri and we had some pizza for dinner, and I can truly say we enjoyed all of it. If you havent been to Simons, make a plan to visit them, you wont be disappointed.

Beautiful restaurant (made us feel like we were travelling in again) - the only issue we had was that the menu doesn’t have a single vegetarian option, and also has a “no changes to menu items” caveat... not great when 3/5 of the table don’t eat meat and one doesn’t eat dairy either - so you’re welcome to remove the meat but have to pay extra to add anything else on it it’s place. The only saving grace was their secret stash of vegan cheese - and the pizza bases were really great.Personally suggestion: just add ONE vegetarian pizza to the menu, or at least let us swap meat for mushrooms (it’s cheaper for you).

A hidden gem in terms of aesthetic and entertainment, however, considering the location, one would expect to see more vegetarian options. There was a slightly hostile attitude from the staff in terms of changing things on the pizza. The excuse was that when it is busy, its too hard to manage. (Ive been to busier restaurants who have been more accommodating.) Alternatively, create a variety of options (especially vegetarian) so that your customers dont feel the need to add, swap or change.

Great location and style, but kak menu if youre vegetarian and they seem to take it weirdly personal if you want to swap a meat on a pizza for a common cheap veggie

Friday evening happy hour is brilliant. To get a better pizza you probably have to go all the way to Cape Town. A must do if you in the area. Venue is spectacular and the staff are also friendly. Thanks, we will be back soon.

This place is really great! Amazing aesthetic and great food. We sat down on a cold evening in front of a fire with blankets while eating pizza. Such a good experience. If you like pizza you definitely need to come here.

The beautiful setting of Emily Moon makes Simons special. The pizzas are excellent (and the banting base really works). Half price craft beer on tap on a Friday night does not hurt either

This is one of my favorite places to eat... We eat out we go to Simons bar every time on a Friday.... Thwy play live music and have a 6_7pm happy hour on Fridays..... Its a wonderful place and staff are very nice.

Amazing location for sundowners. .cocktail specials on Fridays. .very pretty layout with beautiful decor. .service is always top notch . .staff and owner are super friendly and proactive and work well together as a team. .the pizza is definitely the best pizza in plettenberg bay and it shows . .they dont take bookings upstairs unless its party booking and they even offer live music which turns into a dance after dinner . . Oh. . And they are very reasonably priced. .

Divine food and even better vibe Management is fantastic. Service of waiters is in the background but it doesnt even matter when everything else is perfect
