This morning I went for shopping at Checkers Cascade only to find the store was still closed at 8am due to training.I was not impressed at all had to wait for 30mins.This is so unfair because when I checked on their website it said store open at 8am.This needs to stop and must update the website with the correct information.

Terrible they put 3rd class fruit and vegetables into 1st class packets

It is where I do my weekly shop. It has all I need - the essentials, fresh veg, and a lovely deli as well as a prepared meals section .

Dont bother with Checkers Cascades if you require ANY meat products or fresh bread/rolls. Seems like a serious lack of effecient management!

Nice shop as far as checkers shops go... but after trying the sketchy looking eggs and meat i think ill pass in future

I like shopping in a smaller Centre. And this Checkers has everything I need for basic grocery shopping.

Often disappointing to shop here.Prices on shelves not up to date.Bone fragments in wors and mince in spite of promises by regional butcher that matter will be investigated and solved.Shelf packers’ trolleys left untended and blocking aisles.

I bought a rotisserie chicken. I took a bite which tasted like cardboard dipped in old oil. Was this made on Saturday. (Today is Sunday). I even asked for FRESH CHICKEN and was pointed to the below specimen that should only be allowed in a biology lab studying the salmonella virus. It is disgusting.

Bought a Mutton curry, paid for gravy and 2 bones. Very disappointed and dissatisfied!

Bought something off a table for specialls, get to the tills and the one item rings up the normal price, they tell me that particular one is not on special, which I informed the teller that there were more on the table which I showed her and she saw. The supervisor comes to the teller, doesnt speak to me directly but to the teller, I tell the supervisor and there is no concern, not professionally handled, looks for the Manager, they cant find her and then a process controller says someone must have put it there, I said its no possible as there are more on the table. They never handled the situation properly, very poor service and unapologetic and tried to pass the buck.

Could be a great store if the staff were any good. Deli, bakery - both slow and useless. Tellers - slow and generally unfriendly. Management rare, slower and more useless that anyone else in the store. Otherwise a wide selection and can generally get most of my shopping done here. Fresh produce variable from day to day. Not a shop for efficiency. If you’re want to experience quality staff from teller through management - go to Woolworths, completely different experience.

Shop basically nice however the staff are really not interested in the customer. Bought rolls and they looked all crinkled up like old rolls. There were soft so assume fresh. Service in that department was pathetic and once again limited tills open. Could see any management on the floor. Very poor for what should be an up market store. Service is pathetic to say the least. Went to buy cold cuts etc today 11th November. And walked away because the staff had no interest.

Cashiers have no respect for elder people.

Not a bad shopping experience. Quiet and have great sushi, and friendly staff if you’re friendly to them.

A bit of a mixed bag. Best range of goods in the area, but sometimes not the greatest fruit & veg. Prices generally very competitive.

Huge store with supplies ranging from groceries and household to leisure and DIY. Also has a wine cellar. Ample parking at Cascades Centre, including free covered parking.

We really enjoy Checkers but it is not just up out street! We have to travel about 20ks to get there. We live in Howick together with 1000s of retirees. 3 Pick n Pays, 2 Spars and 1 Woolworths, but NO Checkers. 😡😞

Always good value. Like that they have a pharmacy now. Sometimes they dont stock items that we would expect to find there, but the store is neat and the staff does a good job.

Love this shopping centre...Checkers and Woolworths have every thing we need...lots of space to move around good signage...safe undercover, no charge parking...plenty of resturants to cater for all ages...

I always use to go to checkers in cascades, Lately there is no customer service what so ever. Unfriendly staff, Bakery side always a 10 min wait. It has turned out to be my least favorite shop...

Meat smells bad and times chicken is rotton.Check their sb dates always overdue on shelfI bought xtra lean mince 5 percent fat only was so much fat I drained after cooking it blocked my drainSee pic
