The overall house was okay because its nice and big. Its literally around the corner from the beach. Paternoster is an art gallery, beautiful! The restaurants are amazing, I love the cute little Waterfront as well and that deserves the stars. The house though, was quite dirty. The utensils had food on it, the one pot had sand in it. When we stepped into the house, it smelled like someone was making fire the previous night. The photos are deceiving. We had to clean the house upon arrival, was not happy. The house must just have been cleaned properly. I want to give two stars but the place Paternoster saved it.
If you looking for layback easy breakaway this is it the beach was a stone throw away beautiful!!!!!
There are so many different self-catering options available in Paternoster that it can be overwhelming to choose. Carpe Diem is one of those that should definitely be on your short list. It is about a stones throw from the beach (100m) and although it isnt directly on the beach front, it has a viewing deck where you can relax and enjoy a full view of the ocean. There is ample room in the house to comfortably accommodate groups of up to 8 and with an inside and outside braai (BBQ) area it is a great option for warm and cold weather. The kitchen also has everything you need including a washing machine which is great for longer stays. One of the highlights for me was that there is an indoor woodfire pizza oven which was a fun experience. We had a great time staying there and the owners are very friendly. I can definitely recommend you give them a try.
Near the beach but not on the beach
