This place is the best, if youre looking for n quite weekend away, in nature, and all on your own, this is the place to be. Friendly staff, beautiful sceneries and not to far from the nearest town, just in case you need something.

Thanks to Vicky and Eugene, we had a lovely stay in the Likkewaan Chalet- beautiful and very clean! The braai on the stoep overlooking the river, was my favourite spot! My son had a great fishing trip. This is a great, around the corner for Johannesburg, break away weekend spot!

Lovely and peaceful. Weve been going to the Dell for the past 10 - 12 years. Always try to stay in Visarend, when its available. Such a stunning view, and always friendly people and service.

Family frendly kidz can fish and do a lot of activities the ownly problem i had was the music accros the river playing untill late at night but further than that it is a lovley place!!!

We stayed in the rustic Pofadder chalet this past weekend.Pros: Quiet and peaceful; friendly people; plenty of space for kids to cycle; the resident ostrich is very tame and visited often; plenty of birds; lovely sunsets; we enjoyed the fire pit and boma; comfortable beds and good bedding; good water pressure in the shower.Cons: Very few animals to be seen; the accessible property is small - we circled the entire place in such a short time that I can only assume the walking trails are offsite (no map so cant be sure); the river stank of rot (dead fish/iguana floated alongside) so we chose not to kayak - which had been a draw for us; we quickly ran out of places to explore.Verdict: We might stay here for a single night, but other than fishing (which we didnt do) theres not much to do or see. For us it wasnt quite worth the money.

Quiet, tranquil, relaxing.... at least during the week days while we were there. The staff very friendly and helpful. Vicky worked hard to keep us happy with our requests, Eugene was friendly and chatty. We liked the animals wandering around the place.... and right on the river. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

A very family friendly venue... the boys explored and fished and played cricket on the open spaces. The house was well equipped and comfortable. One of those: we will come back again kind of places.

I nor anyone i know will ever go there again..Here is why:The attitude i got from the manager, was disgusting.I asked a simple question, he pulled rank allong with an attitude with me.It shows that he is more interested in money than customer service and satisfaction.

Perfectly suited to small team meeting, braai and night away.

I love the visarend cottage - right on the river and so surreal - I can lay in my double bed and still see the river flowing by - the only thing I would change is the wooden steps to the braai deck - to be more secure for children and older people - maybe a railing will help 😊

Was there for 2 nights, probably the cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed in.

What a wonderful place scenery at its best, but when you make your reservation a month earlier from the date you want to visit and you arrive and your homestead bedding is dirty it is enough to keep any old road going, we have got spiders and cobwebs between the sheets and immediately brought them to the attention of management after which they asked if they could come and spray doom ... we preferred to book after less than an hours stay, only 50% deposit is returned offered based on something that wasnt even our fault.

Lovely place. Very neat and clean. My campsite; each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Spacious pitches by the river. Ideal for the freshwater angler.
