Very nice private venue for small weddings or functions. Beautiful landscaping on property for camera shoots also. Situated with 360 degree view of the area. Top class food, very well prepared. Although the ventilation is ample, aircon units would boost the churchs presence as well as the dining/reception area. More shade for those very hot days will be so much better. They do not accept swipe facilities at the cash bar when using the venue for wedding functions...so bring cash if you need to quench your thirst

Breathtaking views overlooking the mountains. The chapel and the venue are located on the hill which is higher than the main manor that gives the perfect overview of the beautiful nature. There are two lakes in the property. Also there is a cheetah sanctuary next door, great for a day out. The owner is a very nice lady. I would personally recommend this place to anyone!

This is a spectacular venue with a great history. I loved capturing a wedding here. The old buildings and country side feels is just great. Would have loved to capture some more in the gardens out front but there is always next time. Looking forward to the next visit.

My friends wedding was beautiful and the venue is very nice, but the current owner caused a lot of stress to the bride and groom. No couple should be placed under so much stress upon arrival at their wedding venue - such as double bookings of their accommodation without informing the bridal couple beforehand.

Such a sweet Lady who is the owner, always willing to go the extra mile to make our experience as easy as possible. After traveling to countless countries and destinations this is definitely part of my top 10.

Cute little place, perfect for a romantic wedding or function. When the Breugem family left the Netherlands and in 1976 settled in the Drakenstein Valley, with its white gables and proud oak trees, they inherited a legacy of secrets and legends from the French Huguenots. Eben-Haëzer, surrounded by majestic mountains and guarded by dazzling stars and the Southern Cross, became the ideal setting for Cors and Louise’s flower nursery. In picturesque Donkerkloof, just a stone’s throw away, their eight children could enjoy God’s beautiful nature and experience His protection under giant tree ferns, waterfalls and graceful disas. The family lovingly restored the 1837 Cape Dutch homestead and outbuildings into an elegant and luxuriously welcoming B&B. The rustic charm of the wedding venue is complete with French doors opening onto a beautiful rose garden and overlooks fountains, old oak trees and a view of breathtaking mountains beyond. The bride is announced by the ringing of the antique bell in the chapel tower, and after the wedding the couple can relax in the romantic honeymoon cottage. The venue’s motto ‘Faith, Hope and Love’ is a testimony to the family’s spiritual strength, as is the acknowledgement in the name Eben-Haëzer (Stone of Hope) from 1 Samuel 7:12, which states:‘Thus far the Lord has helped us’
