I walk into King Pie yesterday (Sunday) at the Rembrandt mall, with a big hello, from which I get no response. Immediately I feel like Im actually disturbing the cashier and wait while she finishes her conversation with a co-worker. Eventually I order a pepper steak pie and pay the R25.90. My pie is not handed to me, it is left on the counter, leaving me to reach behind the little advertising pop-up. I say thank you and I say goodbye, with no response. I get home and take a few bites of the pie, before discarding more than half. Dry layers of pastry crumbling everywhere. Not fresh and not ayoba. Deeply disappointed in the service and the product itself.
