Paarl arboretum is one of the most beautiful spots in town. Peaceful, large trees, many birds. Ideal place for a run, a walk, a cycle or to exercise your dogs.

I went last 2 years ago and last time i would.Firstly someone announced some general announcements on a speakerphone, handed the speaker to another person and he says: because we are a bilingual country, i will pray in EnglishWe have many languages in South Africa, just because white people can only speak 2 doesnt make us a bilingual country.They prayed in jesus name before we walked.Its a secular event. This is definitely not allowed and dogma. I informed the parkrun facebook group. Only to attend the next week being attacked by the volunteers explaining to me how god exists.What a horrendous experience. Best go to another parkrun that is more inclusive, of race and beliefs.

Its very peaceful in the mornings and Saturdays becomes noisier .I would highly recommend going in the mornings to get away from everything.

I absolutely love this parkrun!!!I miss it soooooo much with this lockdown.Im hoping lockdown will end soon sothat we can all come together again and enjoy the parkrun again

Cool and calm to exercise

Fresh air, lovely outdoors and a fun community. Join these guys on a Saturday for a good time. You can run, walk, bring you kids, your dogs and the baby stroller. You will see me there.

One of our favourite park runs! The route winds along the spectacular Berg river and through the Paarl arboretum with trees from all over the world. Practically the entire route is shaded and very level (great for beginners) and has views of Paarl rock. Go into the town for breakfast after!

Flat, fast 5km - an easy walk for first timers that want to take it slow or just want to come along to have a walk with a few friends.Register on the parkrun website and have your race time recorded - its lots of fun to try and compete with yourself each week, trying to beat your previous best time!And youre always welcome to check out the other parkruns in the area - your barcode is welcome at any of them!

Beautiful place to do a Park run with picturesque mountains surrounding you. If you need a challenge, the route is very flat, but the scene is excellent.
