Review №50

The collections of antiques there are absolutely fantastic, I could spend a whole day there going through all the stuff they have, but Im afraid the service at their restuarant doesnt come up to the same standard at all. The first time I was there I complained to the owner and she told me they had several problems that day, and it wasnt their usual level of service, so I accepted that and came back again to give them another chance. Sadly nothing had improved. Im really disappointed.

Do you love all things vintage, antique and classic? Cars, trucks, tractors, road-signs, advertising boards, toys, records, ornaments, furniture, farm implements and so much more?If you are fascinated by stuff from years gone by, there is a whole barn and yard to explore at Toeka Stoor on the farm Domaine Brahms, north-west of Paarl.Toeka Stoor (Toekas Store) is full of goeters (memorabilia) to mesmerise you and some of it is even for sale. You can also join them for breakfast, light lunches and/or something to drink. There are plenty of seating inside the barn and outside at Toeka Se Stoep Stasie,You can even book the venue for your next birthday, anniversary or function.

We had a really lovely meal every choice we had was delicious. Tables are set out among old cars, sewing machines, phones. Lots of fun museum atmosphere. A few of us had the roast chicken and as there was no price next to it we presumed that it was the same price as the waterblommetjie/lamb stew (they were together on the menu.) However when when the bill came we were surprised. Ask prices.

Little gem, hidden in the agter Paarl. Lots to look at, plenty of interesting articles of bygone days. Everything about the restaurant is laid back, no frills. Tables set like at home in the seventies. Menu has ample to choose from, loved my babotie pie and salad, very reasonably priced. Could buy a selection of old favourite sweets for padkos, fudge was delish. Will visit again.
