What an Experience... the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great... it had the feeling of an old Pub. Good service from the staff. Lots to do in the area. Will be coming back here

We loved this place. We had the Fynbos gin on tap, which was delicious and pizza. Pizzas are wood fired and thin based and really tasty. The side salad that I ordered with my pizza was also very fresh and delicious. We had ice-cream for dessert, but I wouldnt recommend that. They say its homemade icecream, but it tasted like standard shop bought ice-cream.A bonus at this restaurant are the beautiful views. The perfect spot for sundowners.The service was also very efficient and good.

Very quaint family setting with lots of trees to eat lunch under. Jungle gym for the children. Would be lovely for a small wedding. There is a good selection of craft beer and a gin tasting room. Food is good quality. The waiters are knowledgeable about their alcohol products and how they are made.

There are two Wilderers La Grapperia in this area. Different charm but both stem from grappa making history. I like their approach to innovative blends of grappa infusions. Their food is good and does not break the bank. Pizza is a must.

Our first time here, but we just found a place that we love, not just because of the food, but also for the location. Totally amazing, for those of us who appreciate creation. Nestled in this beautiful valley between Wellington and Stellenbosch, part of the Spice Route, one of the restaurants called Lamps Grapperia, a pizzeria and bistro. A fantastic ambience, a scrumptious menu and excellent customer service, definitely a great experience for families and friends. We certainly highly recommend it. 😀⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stopped here before starting our tasting adventures at the Spice Route.It was really good. The was so delicious, fresh and well made! It is worth the trip on its own. The staff are quite friendly and professional.

Would recommend this to anybody in the areas nearby. Great food, cocktails, beer, service and scenery. The restaurant has a awesome view over the vineyards and mountains and is perfect outside under the trees.

After visiting spice route many times I really enjoy eating here. The pizza is fantastic I would recommend sharing if you plan on doing tastings after or before. The waffle was small but great. We were promptly served and seated. The view is super, it can get really hot so plan ahead a go when the weather is good. They have zapper. Parking is free and bit to far however wheelchair users might find the slope challenging.

Relaxing venue with gorgeous views. Stone oven baked pizza ranging from R80-R120.I had one of the best apple moonshine cocktails - R65 and a German meats platter - R145.Excellent service and social spot underneath beautiful oak trees. If youre lucky a squirrel might just come say hello.

The pizza was okay. The sauce lacked a kick to it. The view was incredible. Unfortunately, because smoking was allowed on the lower deck ( which was also the shadiest) we had to move to a full sun spot. And we couldnt move the umbrella so it would actually be useful despite its location at the corner of our table. There is a kid play area right next to the restaurant, so it was nice to let the kids play in safety while we waited for the food.

What expansive space with healthy vibes for families get together. Efficient & fast staff service. We had a pork knuckle and some liquor, followed by a chocolate tasting. Spice Route added spice to our lives at Paarl! Lively!

Great pizzeria with German food options such as Flamkuchen. The Wilderers gin is great and on a clear day you can see Table Mountain. The restaurant has a great relaxed atmosphere and great view.

I love the view from the restaurant. Brought my mom here for lunch. We started out on the patio, but the wind was getting a bit nippy so moved indoors. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Theres a nice cosy fireplace inside, but unfortunately only two armchairs are near the fire. Still, the rest of the rooms were warm enough, so we opted again for a table with a view. We shared a spinach and feta pizza - it was delicious - the base was super thin and had a nice crispness to it. The coffee was good. My mom had the apple strudel with cream for dessert, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I was going to have the tiramisu, but they were out of stock (didnt have any rooibos either), so ended up having a Belgian waffle with ice-cream. I was a bit disappointed with the waffle - didnt have the expected taste and consistency of a Belgian waffle - it was overly sweet and a bit dense, more like a parfait than a waffle. The price of the desserts are a bit high for what youre getting. Apart from that it was a very pleasurable experience.

Me and my friends had such a great time here! Their customer service is excellent and the view is spectacular. Mostly importantly their pizzas are tasty.

Stunning and relaxing outdoor venue under grand old oak trees. Beautiful views over the valley and the yummiest pizzas. Child-friendly: play-gym and sprawling green lawns. Pumptrack and another play-gym on another section of Spice Route farm.

Ordered 2x flammenkuchen, they were average and lacked any flavour. Craft in Stellies makes much nicer. Pina Colada mock-tails at R65 a pop were a complete rip off! I’m shocked at this being restauranteurs ourselves. How can you charge the price of an alcoholic beverage with no alcohol. Needless to say, we are locals and will not support again. It’s a shame as the food does not match the view

Beautiful views and the most delicious pizzas at awesome prices. You can sit outside, underneath the big, beautiful trees, or inside. Theres even seating right next to an old fireplace. Family friendly.

Pizzas was great, service was a bit slow , the front staff was not interested in asking if we needed any blankets, it was cold and misty, but the gin was phenomenal and the lady that does the tasting was really friendly and good, I will definitely go back

Amazing views and food was awesome! Only problem i had was that my main course (Eisben) arrived about 10 minutes before my starter (snails) so i was about half way through my main to avoid it going cold before my starter arrived, had i known this then i wouldve preferred to leave the starter and just have the main. Other than this all was ok and waiter did apologise, but the snails still felt like a waste at that point. Will definitely return but will first try out the other restaurants around there.

We arrived as they opened and was fortunate to get a seating without a booking (I would recommend booking as they are very popular). The views and venue is stunning, a must if you visit the Spice Route venue. Ordered a beer and a gin which was served ice cold. Then had their Anti Salumi platter and a Romana Pizza - both were absolutely delicious. I will be back for more. Great and professional service.

The one thing this restaurant definitely has going for them is the view, which I think they reckon makes up for the lack of service. The service was very slow, we often had to go find our waitress to place orders or ask for the bill. My husband had the schnitzel which he really enjoyed. I had the flammkuchen which was beautifully thin/crisp, but the topping just seemed bleh. They really have the potential to be utterly amazing here, just up your game with service 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great restaurant in an ideal location! The pizza ovens were working overtime but did not disappoint with amazing results. The various gin and beer options available for tasting in the distillery and brewery nearby, are all on the menu and make a perfect companion for the food and location.

Such a beautiful place beautiful views, BUT ddnt enjoy the vybe i was getting from the stuff, from the lady who checked us in at their mini reception think shes the manager dont know, a white lady bit big in size, felt like they ddnt want us there, or they were not sure if we were in the right place,for a moment we thought maybe black people are not welcome there. What a way to be welcomed after driving all the way and looking forward to a first time experience.

The best Italian restaurant in the country. I had the most amazing pizza ever....ever!!! Did I say EVER. They are always busy but somehow the wait staff manage to keep all the balls in the air. Will definitely be back.
