Hard to find on the maps because it’s so new. Great spot. Coffee is fantastic (different latte art each time). The food is great. Best part are the friendly staff. We’ve been there only a handful of times and we’re greeted warmly, and they know our coffee preferences. I’ve never been so happy to leave a healthy tip than here. I wish them every success.

What a pleasant experience!We were served by Mariska, supported by additional staff, whereby we received smiles and professionalism.The food was scrumptious, well presented and generously portioned; the coffee strong and robust.Management were readily available and interactive.Neat, clean, bright and a comfortable atmosphere, well situated in Southern Paarl.We will definitely be back!

A beautiful place to visit right on the main road leading through the town of Paarl. When you step inside the wooden floors remind you of a forgotten time or perhaps a new experience within aged surroundings. Deep within you find a bakery and deli shop to find something for your home pantry. Roosterkoek is a must! Outside seating makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. Good coffee and friendly service from the staff.

Lovely thank you. Had a lovely cheesecake for my birthday there today! I couldnt chose between the cheesecake and the carrot cake. I really like the fresh fig detail you do on cakes.

Great new venue

Very nice ambience. Old country feel . Felt like I was in someones home. Ate in a private dining room in with my family, Staff friendly and very accommodating without being intrusive. we even got to meet Chef Anwar. my daughter will remember her 21st birthday lunch as being very special since we we took the drive out to Paarl on the recommendation of others.The fact that they have a halal was also important to us. May My Cross Aunt continue to grow as much the generous portions we were served.

A young hangout in Paarl, “My Cross Aunt” surprises with a comfortable sophistication and quality food – and yes, they do sell croissants, it would have been a travesty worth PUNishing had they not. Still in its early presentation – today being their grand opening – I entered the restaurant-cum-café-cum-deli and found a relaxed atmosphere with inoffensive music playing at a pleasant enough volume, smiling staff and the tables of other patrons filled with plates that immediately had me interested and hungry. The clean aesthetic is matched with art from a local gallery and are labelled should they catch your fancy. Starting with coffee I was pleasantly encouraged at the strong and quality blend – the manager confirming that they not only source it locally but also that all the ingredients are sourced from the winelands area, including the produce handpicked daily by the head chef. The menu is wide-ranging enough to cater to most staples while also offering an interesting twist on some – my go-to chicken burger was paired with an unexpected and welcome bite to the mustard aioli. They also have a blackboard special menu that I have been assured might contain anything and is sure to entice in the future. This dedication to providing a customer-oriented service is embodied in the manager’s words “The Menu is more of a suggestion” offering vegan and gluten free alternatives to suit everyone should they have needs, no matter how special. MCA has a clear sense of what it wants to be and is well on its way towards achieving that goal – bravely opening in our covid-context despite curfews and sourcing problems that might dissuade just about anyone. A passion project for both the head chef and the manager – I can see why on its first day there has been little other than praise. As far as first impressions go – all I can say is – I can’t wait for my second.
