A GREAT cozy hostel! My girlfriend and I were thoroughly surprised at how clean, comfortable, and homely this hostel was. The BBQ is a MUST! Get the ostrich and enjoy some brews and cocktails outside in the garden or near the fire pit! Would 1000% recommend this accomodation if traveling in/through Oudtshoorn.

This place is one of a kind, friendly staff with clean rooms. Great place to stay over and a beautiful bar with lovely food. People are really helpful and makes you feel right at home. Being a cat lover they also have some cats chilling around, just love the place.

We camped here in a large grassy area. We were able to use the kitchen that is shared with private rooms. Great staff and an excellent location to ride around the area and see the sights / caves. Good wifi and friendly staff.

What a place! Ive been to a few guest houses but this backpackers is amazing. With a bar and pool, just awesome!!!!!

Friendly staff, cosy with the fireplaces. Lots of various accommodation choices in the same place, from camping (bring your own tent) self catering, to private on suite. Appeared to be able to provide all sort of outing and exploration options. Remember to ask for your vouchers to the different tourist venues, and it will save you some money.

A very nice and secure gated hostel. The entertainment room is large and theres a bar one the grounds. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Theres really nothing going on in town, that I could see. Black Swan is a nice restaurant, but pricey for the location. Enjoy the cats here. Theyre friendly and always looking for attention.

Lovely quiet place. Gets a bit busy in the evening because all the tourists have had their day of exploring the area around Oudtshoorn and some of the Garden Route.

Very nice staff and lots of facilities. Were travelling by bike and there is a bike workshop at the hostel an camping is allowed.Facilities include wonderful kitchen, nice living room, pool table, laundry service one block from the hostel and plenty of tourism information/tours available

This is a Genius hostel! I highly recommend it.Most tourists come to oudtshoorn for 1-2 nights, so trust this review, I stayed in this hostel for about a week.

After years and years of traveling, this surely is one of the best backpackers Ive ever seen. Great food, a fire place for great conversation, extremely helpful staff. Theres absolutely nothing they could improve.

A clean well located hostel. Has a clean pool which is needed in the summer heat. There is a bar area with brai facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is car parking. Smoking is allowed outside in the gardens. Good place to get some sleep

Did the Joyride A with them down the Swartberg Pass. Very friendly driver and lovely tour. However, the bikes need to be in much better condition:Brakes, chain etc.

Definitely the place to stay, mostly because of the friendly staff and activities they have here.

Value for money (for this area) and friendly staff. I have stayed here more than once, and I think it is a great example of what a backpackers should be. My only criticism is the cramped inside parking, which is a problem when the venue is busy and makes it difficult to maneauver large vehicles such as minibuses and bakkies.

No no no! Its definitely not a place I will visit again in my life! There are just unsuitable young people who keep you from sleeping until the early morning hours !!!! However, was not with the ones !!!!!

If you are in Capetown, you can stop by. There is no situation to be added especially to the destination. And thats a picture I took with a car. I guess in the year 2006 was.

On our way through, we found this backpacker lodge, which is said to be the best in the country. (South Africa tour guide Stefan Loose). That it is a very good, you can absolutely confirm. Sufficiently large, functional rooms, comfortable reception and restaurant area (incl WLAN) and every evening is gebraiit. Among the specialties is the Ostrich meat. Well-stocked bar. Who travels or wants to stay longer, sleeps and lives here cheap and good. (Prices 01/2017: DZ 540 R, Braii 80-90 R)
