We didnt expect this in Oudtshoorn, We loved the experience... all those things wherever you look there is something interesting :) The shop great! - the food... GREAT! And just walking around is an experience by itself :)!

We arrived there within hours of this venue re-opening after two weeks of lockdown.The very friendly skeleton staff were dashing about to serve the first clients and did a wonderful job.Food and beverages were good.The decor & artefacts took us down memory lane and it was great fun.Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.Highly recommended if you love quaint places 😊

What a great place, Die Smitswinkel really has something for everyone, from a shop in the front where you can buy anything from everyday grocery items, to those unique one of a kind finds or gifts. Going towards the back you also find a restaurant, bar, large play area for the kids, mini golf, the list just goes on and on. And of course then there is the decor, lots and lots of unique motorcycles, cars, and all sorts of unique items throghout, even a plane hanging from the ceiling. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic place to stop and have a breakfast/ lunch when passing through Oudtshoorn. Had a great experience there and spend some time looking around the restaurant and shop. Lots of things to keep the kids busy and they have various animals located there. Family friendly and highly recommended!

Its very peaceful there,kids will enjoy to play there,but the place is big and busy, but the waiters are few. Dont go there hungry, you wait long for your food. It is delicious though

Amazing collection of Bikes and Antiques.Loved the chicken schnitzels!

We had lunch here: ribs (falling of the bone), calamari and a burger. All of the dishes were just perfect! We enjoyed it a lot sitting next to the open fireplace on a cold day and especially the lovely service by Alvina.

This is a lovely rustic place to dine with friends and family. Kids will absolutely love it. So much to see! The food was good and it was a fun trip down memory lane! If in Oudtshoorn, this is definitely a must.

Nice venue, friendly staff and good service, but I find it unbelievable that I was charged R80 for a margherita pizza that was well below average.The pizza hardly tasted like anything. In the middle of the plate the liquid of the thickly sliced tomatoes that were put on it, formed a small puddle, making the pizza taste like wet rubber.

The best food and prices in Oudshoorn. Ribs so soft and tasty it falls off the bone. We definitely can recommend this place. Also such a big play area for the kids. Amazing I was pleasantly surprised. And cooldrink served ice cold even on a very warm day.

If dirty plates after an hour+ wait for food is your thing, then youve found your new favouriite haunt. Generic gifts totally unrelated to the area and an expansive menu (including fresh fish) will keep you busy while your kids can join what seem like an on-premise créche on busy days. Accomodation optional when you take part in a putt-putt revival, and a sparse team of overwhelmed waiters and kitchen staff guaranteed to lose track of you when 10 or more patrons descend on the landmark. Bikers are encouraged to make use of their very public unisex bathrooms towards, from, or through the greater Western Cape region.

This is a very home feeling restaurant perfect for get togethers with family, friends and work colleagues. It has this old authenticity with old cars, motorbikes and alot of old stuff. It have also just farm area type of feeling, to be right at home. The food, hmmm delicious. It also has rooms to stay over for night or two. You can also play putt putt at this family restaurant.

Anything old is there. Kids loved it . outside chess, trampolines, it is as good as a Museum serving meals.

Service a bit slow, but good food!

No service. I had to walk to the counter to ask for a menu. We then waited 10 minutes to stop a passing waiter to ask when our order could be taken. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. I ordered the veggie pizza, since the veggie pizza and veggie pasta are the only vegetarian mains they offer. Found a piece of pork on the pizza! Besides that, an absolutely tasteless pizza; one of the worst I have ever had! What a disappointing experience, with terrible food and service!

A good restaurant for lunch, the interior is quite special as there are many Harleys displayed throughout the restaurant. Service is good and staff are friendly.

A very unique and interesting place to visit. Lots of fun activities for children of all ages. Food was disappointing, tough steak and not good value for money. Definitely worth a visit at least once in a lifetime.

The first time we tried out Smitswinkle, it was an excellent experience, the second time was a disaster with our order taking more than an hour. The food arrived already cold. We assumed it was just a bad day, but yesterday we tried it again with friends that have recently moved to the area and unfortunately the experience was even worse than the second round. Sorry but there will definitely not be a fourth time for us. If you cant cope with the numbers, rather inform your clients to look elsewhere for a meal and give the reduced numbers of people a great experience.

Nice vibe.. Get that oldies feel when entering the place.. You can enjoy a nice family meal outside and watch the kids play.. They also have birds, and chickens walking the yard.

Very interesting arts and crafts shop. Nice restaurant which seems very clean. Apart from this there is also a large collection of old motor cars and motor cycles on display. Harley Davidson fans will in particular enjoy the display. Very interesting.

What an interesting place this is. All the amazing old and antique cars and motorbikes. A wonderful gift shop with home made cookies, gifts, etc. A great restuarant with a large outdoor seating area, which over looks a beautiful big bird aviary with plenty of multi colored love birds. An animal farm for the kids to enjoy. Trampolines and climbing apparatus and lovely garden. The authentic decor is unique with hundred of dinky cars on display from various eras. The motor bike collection is really amazing and for the bike and antique enthusiast its great. Food is great and staff are friendly and helpful. A great place for a family outing.

Cool place from the outside. They have a lot of animals. But, not all of them are threatened nice. It makes me sad to see a parrot alone in a small cage. As well that the little kids are running behind the rabbits and ducks stressing them for now reason.The food is okey and served with nice sauces. The service has way far to long to serve the guests. The location is somehow a little bit disappointing.

Stopped there for lunch today. We had chicken mayo and chips which was very good. But o dear stay away from ordering Cuppacino. The watery coloured water we got with a see through foam is not a Cuppacino.

Very Disappointed in the restaurant.Ive visited twice now when passing through Oudsthoorn and was disappointed with the poor service and cleanliness both times.The food is not bad, though a bit expensive for what you get.

Just have to love the place. They where a bit short staffed but I understand. Food was next level. A must visit and will do so soon again

It was great the first time we went there.Wouldnt recommend it on busy days though... I waited close to 20 minutes just to get menus. I walked out twice both on Sunday and Freedom day... No one came to help us.Theres a guy whos very respectful and polite. Not sure what hes name is but hes always on the floor.... Keep up the good work Mr.As for the rest of the stuff,. . You can really improve your service. Overall good admostphere.Please get more stuff to assist on busy days 😉

Had a great lunch, was super affordable. I think they were a little short staffed on Mothersday so waiting times were a bit longer than usual but other than that we had a great time.
