Great venue, plenty parking, serene environment, with indoor and outdoor seating, with good choice of meals. They also have a fireplace that warms up the facility on cold winter days.Alongside there is an amazing array of foodstuff and butchery, something for all tastes. Worth stopping for a treat en route to Stellenbosch.

Excellent coffee in a massive cup, the food was excellent, brilliant staff. A fantastic place for families and kids

* You cant picnic on the grass as the grass belongs to the beer company. I shall recommend that you OPEN up the grass area to the public for picnic (*BASKETS FOR SALE AT THE DELI*) and deli bought food. You will not loose customers. You would only gain. My child loves the play area...but BECAUSE we buy food from the deli and are NOT ALLOWED on the grass to consume our bought food there, we end up leaving. The Deli has amazing lekka pies and other foods, but cant be consumed on their grass.We will not recommend going there if you have kids and JUST want a quiet day out enjoying a Deli bought pie and a cup of CHINO.

Very nice venue for family outings. You can either make use of the two eating venues or do picnic outside under the trees. Their are horse and buggy rides for kids and geese to amuse the children. Lots and lots of open grass areas. There even a wedding venue for those looking for a beautiful outside venue. They have a lovely shop with awesome selection of vegetables, snacks, breads, meats, delicacies, sweets, etc to pick from. According to staff it is best to phone and book a table before coming through. We just popped in and got a table with no issues.

Breathtaking views, fabulous food and great atmosphere

The little restaurant is great, a very European menu. I love the charcuterie platter with sourdough bread. The lattes are also delicious. The deli has so many amazing treats. The liver pate deserves a mention, its heavenly.

Our lunch was amazing and the price reasonable. The mac and cheese off the kiddies menu was a hit with my toddler. We enjoyed our meal outside in the fresh air and sunshine. The service was friendly and excellent. We had a little wander on the lawn afterwards then browsed the deli and succulent nursery.

Decided to pop in for a quick lunch, and sorry to say, but the Joosten-burger is completely oversold on the menu description. Both my husband and I felt that this was thee most tasteless burger we have eaten in a very long time! And it would help if they give the right cutlery in order to eat your food with, I didnt get very far trying to cut my burger with a butter knife, but thankfully staff supplied a sharper knife after requesting it.

Still one of the best lunch place in Cape Town

Visited the events space to judge wines and spirits for a competition. It is a well appointed space thats kept well with a deli and bistro on site. Didnt buy anything but has a good looking butchery counter.

Beautiful venue, with great variety of food to choose from. I chose to sit on the outside porch section and have the butternut soup, I was not disappointed. It was in-fact the best I’ve had.Beautiful scenery with play area for kiddies and horse rides. Was lovely to have the hens 🐓 walking around freely and come right up to you at your table. Was indeed a treat to visit, and will continue to go back.

Went there with a friend. The food was delicious they have one option for almost everything. Say one type of white wine, one type of pizza but what they serve up is lovely. Its all open air with green trees and grass in the surrounding area.

Very pleasant experience as always. There is just no substitute for quality! Luckily I live 400 kms away or they would see me everyday!

We only discovered this restaurant a week ago during a two day visit to a neighbouring cottage. We visited several times and returned again today after a trail run at a local wine farm. Excellent management and staff and a small menu of perfectly prepared food. We also enjoy shopping at the attached deli shop. My only complaint is that it’s so popular so if one doesn’t book beforehand hand it could mean disappointment.

Food was top quality. One of the best omelettes I have had in years. Service efficient and even in the rain the garden is spectacular

Always a winner. Lovely food and the fireplace on a cold winter morning is so indulgent! Had a problem with my online booking but thankfully there was a table available on arrival.

If you like the idea of Delis and butcheries rather than usual usual grocery stores then this is one place you have to visit. It has a lovely farm atmosphere and loads of things to do for the whole family. The meat products that you can buy here is really next level and the seasonal fruit and vegetables are very fresh. The pastries they sell is amazing especially their chocolate croissants.

Good and neat place to visit. Normal Butchers like PnP are cheaper, but doesnt have similar products. With covid the restaurant is closed. Food is not cheap at the restaurant, but good quality. The venue is well maintained and beautiful. Love spending time here.

Spent a Saturday afternoon at Joostenberg Wine Farm this week with friends and had a great time. The place was busy but there was loads of spaces and free tables at Stellies Taproom (Draught Craft Cider!) and at the bistro. Food was great served tapas/picnic style. We had the oysters, charcuterie, smoked Trout and cheese boards to share between four washed down with chilled white wine. Fresh, plentiful and really reasonable prices. Staff are attentive and friendly, scenery is great and the onsite deli is amazing to pick up braai meat and essentials (Joostenberg specializes in Pork). What more could you want out of a sunny Saturday afternoon? Highly recommended

Food was good and service was exceptional.

While the scenery was excellent the food was below average. Portion size is small for the price and no matter what country youre from, the sausage on their breakfast menu was not cooked. All in all a disappointing experience.
