What a beautiful view. The higher up the path you go the better the view gets. From the top you can watch the brave people going down the Zip line over the waves below. If the thrilling climb is not for you then there is a local restaurant where you can get some delicious foods or maybe a dip in the tidal pool is your kind of thing… either way, this is a great place to spend some time in the sun.

Access to the lighthouse is not clear. Could do with better signage and a clear path to the lighthouse. Beautiful sea views from the walking trail.

Has an ice cream stand that reminded me of my childhood and has the best views. Perfect playground for Photographers. Definitely recomend visiting this spot.

Picturesque is putting it mildly.Tidal pool with warm water is a must. St Blaize trail gives you sea as far as the eye can see. Zipline over the ocean plus a quaint little aquarium where you can literally swim with sharks. Lots of little snack shacks and some restaurants to top it off.

Peaceful clean and beautiful the walk is a bit steep but worth it ,one with nature and you can watch the Zipline junkies go down

Beautiful place!! ❤ Nature and beauty coming together... Wow.. Quite a bit of a steep climb but able to take your time.. Educational posters in the cave Grove. Good for kids. Fit, unfit, young, old. Jus one of those have to sea I mean see place.. The beach is a beaut!! ❤

Great place unfortunately during covid 19 the place was closed but the view was amazing.

Amazing view to see. Not wheelchair/pram or baby friendly. The stairs are very steep to go up the tower and only able bodied people should go. Nothing else there though.

Beautiful views of the bay below. The lighthouse was nice although we did not go up so dont know if its free. There is a picnic table for a quick snack and some information on other lighthouses in south Africa that are interesting should you be interested in lighthouses. At this point you can join the cliff trail that comes from the beach area but it is not well kept the path you need to walk to get to it, so be cautious. We saw some little animals that were very cute. Overall a nice place to visit for free.

Super amaizing place. you can take an adventurous walk up the cliff to the lighthouse. We saw dolphins and all sorts of wildlife about. There are also some simple gave systems with stories of stone age ancient peoples who lived in the area. its truly a magical place

Another beautiful location. Another historic lighthouse. Wonderful views of Mossel Bay. Holiday vibe and atmosphere.

There was a route to the lighthouse with a breathtaking view!! The route was a bit tricky, but worth every step! We also got to see a dassie up close. I look forward to doing their 13km hike!

Beautiful cute lighthouse. Some of the staff arent very friendly or helpfull and apparently they dont/didnt have a first aid kit. They didnt even have a piece of toilet paper in the bathroom. I had to run down with blood flowing down my hand to the restaurants down below to get help when I accidentally cut myself on barbed wire.

Plenty of amenities with a great trail along the coast.

Always a delight to visit Mbay Point for an ice-cream, swim in natural tidal pool, and a walk along the Cape St Blaize trail - stunning views as you walk high along the cliffs. Also a very long zip line from the cliffs, over the ocean - looks super exciting!

Amazing view at the top of the stairs, we saw some dolphins. Highly recommended for tourists. Lots of people around and theres some security guards patrolling the area.

I am only giving them 5stars due to the fact that the lighthouse itself is amazing. The staff was not there in the middle of the day and wouldve loved to climb right to the top. I think they wouldve made a few bucks from us as we were prepared to pay a few bucks to go up in the lighthouse. History books are amazing to see and well looked after in there, view from up there is breathtaking.

We did not stop to view the lighthouse, did the 13.7km walk. This is a breath taking journey all along the edge. Important: Take water, rest often as this does not seems challenging but is after all.

Climbed up there the wrong way then walked up the path the right way next day. A good historical site to visit to remind us of the dangers of ships to close to shore. Very interesting building overlooking a vast area of the Mossel Bay area. A bit difficult for elderly people to get to but with some patience it is achievable. A must see on your visit to Mossel Bay.

The trail is safe and along the beach with an awesome view, it was a great hike.

This is an amazing place to visit with amazing views and a walking trail with easy walking taking you high up the mountain side with a beautiful sea view. You will also see the Lighthouse and a Beautiful Cave of Human Origins.

Although you can drive up, I would suggest you park down below at the Point and walk up. Enjoy the scenery and visit the tea garden at the lighthouse. Just confirm hours of work in advance.

A wonderful experience. The lighthouse complex is kept really neat and clean. YThis includes the public restrooms. The lighthouse can be reached by two trails and by car to a nearby parking lot. The views from the deck are subliem. A small fee is asked to visit the top of the lighthouse tower itself. This is accomplished by ascending three sets of steep wooden stairs. All in all a worthwhile experience!

Offers some nice views over the town and the entire peninsula.If you have some time to spare take a short hike along the Blaize Trail which starts right next to the lighthouse.

There is a hiking Trail a cave, the light house and a. Oceanarium, though small to visit. The beach is a bit Rocky but the view from the hiking trail is awesome there was also a whale sighted on that day

Nice view!

Looks nice from the outside but we could not visit the lighthouse. We arrived on a friday at 13:30 and it was closed although one sign at the gate said 10-15 and another sign at the driveway said 10-12:30 and 13-15. Also there are no signs that lead you to the lighthouse when you approach it by foot from the waterfront. The only way up is a steep unmarked path or the road.

I am very disappointed in this place. I have tried twice to visit this place, the first time I was told that they are only open on certain days and already close at 15:00 in the afternoon when they are open. Then, after hearing this, I managed to get there one afternoon at 14:50 and the man who I assume was supposed to assist people who want to go up the light house, wasnt willing to sacrifice a few minutes before closing time to allow me as a single person to just go up and take a photo. I mean, how long would it have taken? Also, there is a better vantage point behind the lighthouse and a little higher to take photos for free and this guy didnt even want to give me a few minutes for something I even had to pay for to do. Yes, it is not free to go up the lighthouse either.

For a nominal fee you can climb the light. Amazing views! Photographic history in the lower portion of the light detailing all of South Africas lights and historical information.

When you want to see the lighthouse from up close or even climb it, you need to pay a few bucks. I would see that it is worth it to at least do it once. The view is amazing and their isnt many lighthouses you can visit! There is even some boesman writing around the cliff. Hope you enjoy it like I did!

Somewhat of a “meh” outing. But climbing the lighthouse tower to see the view of Mosselbay harbour is a experience that makes it worth your while.

Parking is not that big and two cars can hardly go at the same time. But the scenery is perfect

Just stopped briefly to admire the view. Very nice to drive in that part of Mossel Bay without the holiday seadon crowd. You get to appreciate the beauriful surroundings and the fantastic view. Some nice restaurants and bars in the vicinity. One establixhment was offering a buffet at R49 per person. We did not have tine to try it out but imsuee it is worth a try.
