Well it was the first place I fell inlove with when I visited my husbands hometown Mosselbay. We then got married on Santos Beach and had our reception at Fork and Train Restaurant, everything was sorted out and done beautifully by a stunning lady Debbie.We often dine at the Fork and Train as their food & drinks are affordable, food is great. When they have Jazz evenings we always attend it has a awesome island feel to it. Staff are awesome. Keep it up.

I was surprised with the negative reviews here, as far as my experience goes everything was fine. It is a nicely located place with good views on the beach and a good atmosphere. We enjoyed a beer and a few snacks here, nothing to complain about except that the price was a bit high.

Very unique setting. Good prices. Didnt have decaf coffee or dairy alternatives, though. Has wheelchair accessible parking and entrance.

Went to ask for one and the waitress said she would bring them, waited another 15 minutes for them none came, I went to complain,asked to see the manager and was told to wait. My party left. One of the most beautiful locations in town! Its just a pity that the food is underwhelming. The ham and pineapple pizza was extremely disappointing.Rather only have drinks at this restaurant and enjoy the view. The service isnt anything to write home about either.

Had a platter there today. Very tasty, could have had more calamari on the plate and less chicken strip. But in all it was nice.

Very nice place with a beach view and friendly staff. Mossel Bay is full of gems. If you want oysters, this is the place to be. If you want pizza, please go to Bayside Pizzeria, Bayside Centre.This is the thing about Mossel Bay. Every taste is catered for.

Beautiful place, exquisite ocean view while you enjoy meal. My fiancee was impressed with their spare ribs. We couldnt spend the night there because they were fully booked and we were drop-ins. So book in advance if youre intending to visit them.

Shocking service. Waited very long for food, restaurant was not busy. Pizza for kids had olives with pips. This is unacceptable as someone almost broke their tooth. Olives were smothered in cheese so you didnt even see them. Other pizza was burnt. Pasta was cold. Calamari basket tasted like old calamari that had been standing for a very long time. The manager was not at all interested in our complaints! I was absolutely shocked with his attitude. The company and the Gin was good! Calamari and poppers starters was good!

I visited this restaurant after a weekend away and immediately fell in love with it. The food is great and the drinks and cocktail menus are amazing. A great way to spend any day with the amazing views and service on offer.

Nice view to enjoy. Service is mediocre so as food. We had Babootie for lunch and have to admit that for such as traditional African dish it could taste better, instead it was mostly the rice also the oysters were fresh, but not really tasty. What was good?....a view.

Excellent place

Maybe good for having a drink but not for eating. Been there a couple of times as we stayed in the train hotel. Yesterday we left again after staff did not know if there is non alcoholic beer and did not come back from asking someone else. Many employees but still like half an hour until we were able to order simple breakfast today. Food was OK. What a pitty as this place could be a extraordinary experience due to the perfect location with spectacular view. Basically chaotic organization... 😕

In the bar area mainly....No compulsary wearing of masks enforced on guests who move freely around between different tables and rest room. No social distancing. No sanitising of tables between customers. We felt very exposed and unsafe. We will not be going back here soon.

The food and service is always great here! A few vegetarian options, you can also smoke hubbly here.However, this restaurant still uses plastic straws, this is a concern as the restaurant is situated right over the ocean. And they should be more conscious of their choices and environment.

Interesting place. Service was very good. I find the descriptions that include fork and... very off-putting. Especially the Fork and toilet. Foreigners wont understand that its supposed to be funny and even as a SAcan, I think the pun is a little lame. The toilet is unisex and so small, youll really feel like your visiting the third class of a train from circa 1970. If you like that sort of thing... Then this place is for you.

Definetly not worth it. Lets start with the positive side: the restaurant has an amazing view. But unfortunately, this is the only positive thing. Probably the worst about this place was the food. The salad that we ordered was floating in the water that they used to wash it. The vegetables that they offered as a side dish were frozen, they went directly from the bag on our plate. The potatoes we received had no salt or spieces, not even oil to give it a taste. The service was bad too, they mixed up our orders and we waited way too long to get our food - same happened when we asked for the bill. There are definitely much better options in Mossel Bay.

Cheaper than most places

Lovely location, reasonable prices and friendly staff. We were especially impressed with Poppy who made a genuine effort to make us feel welcomed and the very friendly and efficient service of Nhlelha (sorry not sure of spelling) but he was very good server.
