From January to April 2019 I was a volunteer in the project and got the opportunity to work with those children whom I have taken to my heart after my departure that I can hardly wait to see them again. I understood how important the project is for the children when I saw how happy they are in the ocean and how proud they are of every wave they surf. Children need achievements like this for their future. They need something they can work on, something they can identify with and something they can enjoy. And The Surfer Kids NPO gives them opportunities they would never have without. The Surfer Kids trustees and supervisors I worked with were all friendly and helpful at all times. No matter who needed help or support (the kids or us volunteers), the supervisors were always available. I´m super happy that I got the chance to spend three wonderful months in the project. I met people I´ll never forget, I made experiences that taught me a lot and I worked with most lovable kids on earth, who could also teach me a lot just from being themselves.But most importantly: Shanana and Hamba Ngthando! 🤙🏾🏄🏾‍♀️🇿🇦

I have had the experience of a lifetime as a volunteer and I wouldnt want to miss my time there for a second. The team is doing a great job and I can recommend it to everyone to volunteer there for good purposes.
