We and our friends had a lovely time at Salt & Copper. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the food really special. Also feel safe there because screening, masks to enter and sanitizing a must.

Very classy restaurant with friendly staff. Prices a bit on the high end, but not necessarily a bad thing. 👌Kids play area outside too.

A very high end place with reasonable price. Has a distillery and tasting. The waiters especially Jason are very friendly and can give you information of the Gins and etc. Will definitely visit again soon. They only stick and use locally sauces product.

Relaxed and social atmosphere. The copper lounge is perfect for those wanting to have a cocktail catch up with friends.

Fantastic food, vibe and service. A true gem in Hartenbos. Definitely a restaurant to add to your to-do list. We were there for breakfast and we are already planning to do lunch sometime soon.

Beautiful restaurant. Havent done the gin tasting yet but Ive heard it was good.The food is quite good, however not a wide variety. Friendly service and kept very neat.There was also a live piano player, creating a very unique ambience

Excellent venue. Strict covid protocols in place. Seating inside and outside, we chose to sit outside which became a little noisy with a childrens party, it didnt worry us but if you dont like rowdy children sit inside. The service is five star, staff well trained. Food was excellent, beautifully presented and tasty. Although we didnt go to the bar there is a trendy distillery and bar next to the restaurant.

So glad I eventually made the effort and went to visit.From the arrival to the welcome at the door to the seating arrangements and the well trained staff this feels a bit different from the normal garden route familiar/casual.They achieve the professionality without making it feel overly formal as well.The menu is very well thought out and I will have to go back a few times to eat my way through it. Portions are just right sized and really varied.Now for the drinks menu. Wow (a few times). Really good cocktails that just look stunning and taste even better from the Captain copper, with a bit of a kick, to the Pink tonic float with Turkish delight ice cream and a very creative meringue (who needs alcohol).Price wise the menu ranges from really affordable to mid priced items but quality and quantity makes your Rand well spent.Well done to everyone involved in this product. So glad to see the area lifting its game.

A casual, yet grand restaurant with excellent service.The location makes it both easily accessible and protects it from noise pollution. There is a large amount of parking space and extra activities, however it is best to make reservations as the restaurant has a high level of traffic.The building has a very open design and as a result there is not much place for privacy. There are children playing outside most of the time as there is a great play area for children.I can recommend the steak as well as the milkshakes as the quality and the rich taste is astounding. Not even to mention the service. I gave a 30% tip at the end of my day. The service is the best I have ever experienced in a restaurant before.The cocktails are masterfully crafted art pieces, perfect for influencers and their public audiences. This in collaboration with the occasional live performance from an artist, makes for quite a fun and creative environment.It is no longer a restaurant, it is a rich and vibrant experience, on the eyes, ears and in the taste.

Family fun,best food,musicians delight. Train rides available. Food excellent ordered Pork belly,soft,tender and crackling edible. Also had chicken with veggies in curry sauce,very good and vegetables not over cooked. Priced well for the portions and foodlovers paradise! Well done to all involved.

We spent a wonderful afternoon with friends at Salt and Copper enjoying wine and cheese pairings as well as gin and whiskeys tastings.The place has a lovely atmosphere and our food and drinks were divine! Our waiter was friendly and the service was great.We will definitely be back!

Through a polished rustic style an elegant but relaxed atmosphere is created. The food experience is elevated above ordinary, but caters for young and old. Interesting dishes appear on the menu ranging from breakfast menu items to Sunday lunches. Gin tasting avalaible. We attended a wedding at the Salt and Copper venue, and if the wedding food we enjoyed is anything to go by, the restaurant is worth many visits. The venue lent itself well to hosting the function, and it was well organised and beautifully decorated. There is a gin tasting experience the we could unfortunately not try - hopefully next time.

Trendy restaurant with delicious food and beautifully styled cocktails. The carrot cake is divine! Be sure to visit the stalls just around the corner. There is also a lot for the kids to do

Excellent coffees, very skilled baristas. Wonderful atmosphere on Sundays, especially when theres live music.

Limited selection and quite pricey for average meals. Would have loved a tapas/snacking menu. Service is decent and friendly albeit a bit slow. Setting is quaint. Lacks a bit of personality but will probably develop in time. Nice playground for kids.

The best of its kind on the Garden Route!!! Absolutely brilliant coffee, wine, & gin tasting venue. They kept menu and food relatively simple but extremely tasty and well prepared with good sized portions. For the quality you get the pricing is also quite reasonable. Since weve discovered it weve become regulars because nothing else in the area can compete!

Great venue for family and friends. Spacious and well designed. Lovely kids area for toddlers and older children.Drinks and Food:Great coffee! I ordered a flat white and cappuccino. Supplier of coffee is Brothers Coffee which speaks for itself.Breakfast was decent. I ordered the Serious breakfast.Service:The service was a big let down. Waited for 50min for our breakfast. Drinks took way too long. No checkins from manager/owner which can help a lot with quality control and service delivery.So much potential but disappointed in the lack of service.

Left rather dissatisfied after being turned away. The kitchen closes 1 hour prior to official closing. Its understandable, but many places still offer coffee and cake during this period. Looks like a lovely place though.

Pity I can’t give it a zero, because that is exactly the service I received there in April. We went there half an hour before the publicized closing time for a drink. The place was approximately 40% full, but we were told that they were closed & turned away.I now live within viewing distance of the establishment & can understand why Hart & Bosch Village is busy and this place isn’t

The best fine dining weve experienced in this area. We had pulled pork Frikkadelle for starters, Pork belly on mash and Lamb curry for mains and Creme Brulé for dessert. Each and every dish was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced.

Mothers day lunch. Was stunning and food delicious.Love it. Never disappointed with any dish. Great service.

Had the most pleasant experience had some awesome Gin and Brandy tasting our waiter was so familiar with the products and explained to us exactly what to do and also gave some extra information on products. Could not leave without buying a bottle of Gin for home aswell.So neat clean and friendly place.Wish I could visit more often.

Friendly staff, divine foods.

It is difficult to rate a new place where you see the potential but also the possible pitfall(s) that can cause it to loose out on returning customers.Potential; because it is an awesome, spacious venue with a lot of things to keep kids of all ages busy, good food, variety of foodie options like gin tasting, craft beers, breakfast, lunch.....BUT if they do not quickly work on service (time to get drinks and food are unacceptable long...and it was still early so they were not yet busy) and value for money (portion size and what you get on plate).....I (and a lot of other people I can imagine) would not go back.Also, I understand if you have a no reservation policy but then be consistant in applying it.

1st experience pleasant, love the vibe and setting has great potential, has something for everyone! Copper lounge has a variety of tastings, cocktails and drinks a must try👍... 2nd experience not to pleasant husband ordered simple sandwich and the avo was so hard could not even cut through it,for the price I dont expect anything less than a ripe avo period! Ordered tea and coffee before meals was told by waiter there are many coffee orders of which I didnt see passing me, then to top it all a table that was seated after our food was finished. Trust this critisim will help service grow from strength to strength

Excellent outdoor play area, great quality food and an excellent cup of coffee. Limited menu and nothing but breakfast until eleven, but all in all, worth the visit.

Familly visit, ages vary from 7years to 85yrs.Loved the atmosphere with the pianist. Music suited the event.

The brand new Copper Lounge @ Hart & Bosch is a great place for Gin lovers. They have a number of different Gins from various distilleries to taste, and also do a Gin and Sorbet tasting. Their Gin cocktails are also very interesting and are skillfully assembled and presented. We visited during the peak holiday period (December 2019) and as they had just recently opened you can clearly see that they are still finding their feet. Apart from the cocktails which were great, the table setup was a bit confusing - the waiting list for the restaurant was very long, so they direct you to sit in the lounge while you wait, and thus when we got there there was hardly any seating available. Also, when ordering and paying, the process took very long - there was almost always a long queue and some of the patrons even decided to leave rather than wait. It was probably a combination of being new and the major influx of tourists that caused them to be overwhelmed. Overall I think if they iron out a couple of their issues this will be a great place to visit and I look forward to going back there in the future. Would definitely recommend making a reservation if visiting over holidays!

Fantastic gin bar with a big selection to choose from. Lovely fenced in play area for children. The salads we ordered were excellent. Sadly the service was lacking, we kept asking to be assisted and had to collect our own drinks from the bar. Really disappointing.

Lovely setting and fantastic service by the service staff. Some dishes such as a 200g (pushing for 300g) iscquite pricey. Both steaks we ordered were incorrectly cooked (med well instead of med rare). Also asked whether the very chips portion that resembles a known fast foot outlets could be replaced by a salad. Answer was it could be done for an additional R10, because salad is more expensive than chips. Salad consisted of half a smallish bowl of salad greens, a few carrot sticks and maybe 2 cherry tomatoes quartered. A big disappointment, given that it was my birthday celebration treat from the family.

The menu is enough to want you to come back. If you have kids like we do this is the best venue in Mosselbay. You can spend the whole day keeping your kids happy and your tummy and throat satisfied with their g&ts.
