I recently relocated from Cape Town to Johannesburg, and used Key Moves to transport my furniture. What a fantastic company, I highly recommend them. Danielle is superb and super quick with her responses. And to Walter and the rest of the team - you guys are super friendly and loads of fun! Awesome team! They delivered my furniture from langebaan to Bloemfontein. I lost lost few items on the move including laptops and clothes but we reached a settlement agreement few days later. They company is good they just need to have reliable packers not changing packers in every city.

Against polite request this company parked their double trailer lorry in the middle of our street while taking small loads in other vehicles again and again far across the suburb to another location. Their customer presumably was sitting in peace and quiet while we had heavy vehicles moving up and down our verge. This was rude and unprofessional towards the public.

I recently used Key Moves to transport the contents of my home in Joburg to Cape Town. I received an incredibly competitive quote promptly and their service was nothing less of amazing. No breakages, which is amazing considering the amount of fragile contents. Id definitely recommend using them. Thank you so much!

Dont use this company they are inconsiderate

I hired the company to move from Durban to Johannesburg and they decided to use blankets to wrap my glass table and tv. I wasnt even notified that my glass table was broken until the delivery. What moving company doesnt know that delicates need to be bubble wrapped?? and good luck trying to claim from them since their insurance only covers fire and hijack risk. The moving guys also tried asking for soliciting a bribe from me and i told them to send me an invoice for all the additional boxes that were used.Theyre the cheapest but get ready to lose a few valuable items to stupidity

I would rate them less than 1 star if this was possible... I have used Key Moves a number of times for long distance moves since 2014 and I have even recommended them to people looking for a decent removal company. With our previous move however, which was in February 2018, they broke a few items, but I figured that sometimes things do break when moving so I left it. We hired them again for a move from Pretoria to George and this time they damaged quite a few items. On pickup, the very first leather couch that was moved out of the house was hooked on something at the front door and torn. We contacted Key Moves who in turn apparently contacted the supervisor on site. From here on, it appeared that they were taking move care when loading items on the shuttle. The load was delivered on Sunday in George and when the truck was opened, it was immediately apparent that there was going to be an issue. The leather couches and lazy boys were packed on top of the metal garden furniture, which damaged these items quite severely, and as the items were being offloaded it was clear that absolutely no care or consideration was taken to not damage the furniture. Among other the following items were severely damaged: (1) An entire Grafton Everest lounge suite consisting of 3 leather couches were severely damaged - I am not sure that these can be repaired (2) 2 Leather Lazy boys has literally been severely scuffed or torn on every corner (3) A section of a 1960s wooden dining room table had corner broken clean off (4) An entire box of antique dining ware that was clearly marked with fragile tape and marked as such were broken (5) A wooden headboard has been scratched severely, it looks like it was scraped over a cement floor and actually has areas where pieces of wood has been torn from it. These are but a few of the items that were damaged. It is clear that this company has a complete and utter disregard for the fact that this furniture is irreplaceable for my mother who is a pensioner and who has inherited these items or has had to work hard to purchase the items that they have destroyed. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this removal company to anyone ever again.

Absolutely shocking. The only thing that didn’t arrive broken is my clothing. Every furniture item scratched, broken plates, broken lamps - no attention paid to fragile stickers. Had to constantly tell them to pay attention to how they are throwing boxes around and how they are scratching my furniture whilst in front of me and was told that I must trust them. Most unprofessional moving company. Pls beware.

Great service provided by this moving company. All items were delivered in perfect condition and on time. I would pay a bit more attention to organizing the labeling of boxes when packed directly by the company but my goods were all delivered in perfect condition so Im happy!

Wanted to charge me R4000 to move less than 10 items 3,7km away! Other movers charge around R800 and R1000.Please shop around for prices before committing to Key Moves as the quote they provided me with is clearly a rip off!

They were subcontracted to move me from jhb to cpt and most of my items were broken and damaged on arrival. My table leg was broken Clean off. Been almost 2 months and still no resolution. Would not recommend them at all

I dont bate the place but the feed back is poor. I phone them about a truck passing me on the highway at 120 and i was driving 120. Thy said i must send the videi and thy will talk to the guy but ni feed back.

Potentially the worst moving company in South Africa. They managed to damage every item of value in my shipment!

Extremely bad service with no regard for the customer/client.They refused to let my furniture to be offloaded. Because of poor management. When I had paid full amount upfront.On date of delivery they were claiming that I have not paid.Really disappointed

Very disappointed with Key Moves. My company paid for Abbey International Movers to conduct our transfer to the another plant, but somehow Key Moves were sub-contracted for the move. Below are my gripes:1. Paid for professional packing, but packers were in plain clothes, so no idea if they were even Key Moves staff. At the destination our suspicions were confirmed when we later saw some of the workmen wondering around the local RDP long after they had left to another destination2. They not only damaged our piano in transit, but inexplicably dropped it before putting it in place. Quoted for damage comes to R25k!!! more than the value of the move itself3. They damaged our record player so that it cant play records any longer4. Several small items are missing and still unaccounted for. Couldnt tell when we signed off because they left us with a whole bunch of boxes to unpack by ourselves5. Several items were scratched or chipped5. And finally, to make me really grind my teeth the insurers pointed out that I had signed for PBO or packed by owner instead of PBK or packed by Key Moves on the delivery receipt, and in so doing, any insurance claims would be voided. That they had the audacity to do this really brings into question their professionalism and ethics

Ive received the best service, they arrived on time, packed everything with care,everything delivered on the agreed day and time, absolutely nothing was broken or scratched. Id recommend them 💯 percent

WHATEVER YOU DO , DO NOT USE THEM. So many things broken. We were happy on the day they moved us but afterwards realized how many things they broke.We should have used a professional company instead.

I dont recommend Key Moves. Moved from Jhb to Pmb and tools were missing, brooms did not arrive, side of my slatted wooden bed broken off, how they managed to do that I honestley dont know

I had a very pleasant experience with Key Moves moving my stuff form Joburg to Cape Town. They were efficient on both the admin and delivery side, and compared to to other movers they were very cheap.

Helpful staff worked quickly but alas, damaged a server.
