An architectural masterpiece! Inside is absolutely spotless. The place has a community within it that takes care of the Mosque. The people are super friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing tour guide who is so passionate about what he does. I love learning about different cultures and if you do to this place is an absolute must see. It has a few places to eat and see inside it aswell. The food deserves a review all on its own but all I can say is that it is world class. Easy 5 star

Absolutely gorgeous Masjid. Beautiful Uthmani Turkish architecture. Stunning inside and out. Dazzling Islamic calligraphy and geometric patterns in wonderfully vibrant colours. Breathtaking in both beautiful and size. Must visit.

Nizamiye Complex is a very peaceful place..It is like a miniature of Turkey.You can visit the mosque,you can eat Turkish food, you can shop.There is a charity shop where you can find Turkish clothes.

Visited with a large group of interested people for the first time today. The mosque is certainly striking from the outside. Good security at the gate and plenty of parking available. The inner square was already amazing as was the meeting room we sat in before the tour. The gallery has plenty of photos showing the building going up as well as other mosques throughout the world. Our tour guide was very informative and he told us a lot of interesting bits of info about the mosque as well as his belief system. The inside of the mosque is truly wonderful to behold. Outside there are a few shops with food and curios and groceries and really good bread.

It is a very nice mosque and unique one. The environment is very clean and peaceful. There are shops near it. You can find a barber shop, a restaurant, groceries shop, pizza and garment shop.The washrooms are very clean. There is wudu facility before the enterance. It also accommodates ladies. There is another entrance for wudu and prayer for them.You should also view it at night. With the lighting it looks nice.

This is such a beautiful mosque, the architecture is amazing. After Jummah you can walk around and admire the building and the vibe of people from different parts of South Africa touring the mosque. Theres a gallery with models of other mosques around the world, beautiful paintings and small bookshops to buy antiques and trinkets. Theres also an opportunity to walk around and taste different Turkish pastries and delights.

Nizamiya Masjid is really a great place to visit. It is not only a Mosque but it is also a Education centre comes under Turkish Government. It is for men and for women too. It is really great religious center.There are a lot of shops around Mosque, theres is a Turkish Restaurant which is full of delicious different Turkish and Arabic food. Theres a pharmacy, theres a little Islamic school. It is always my choice to visit this place oftenly with family and friends.

A piece of Istanbul in South Africa! A must see for any tourist. If youre not Muslim then familiarise yourself with the proper Islamic etiquette and dress code when entering the Mosque. This is a functional place of worship and not just a tourist attraction.

Mr Ali Katircioglu the man behind the moola of building this beautiful piece of art work that’s just put Midrand and the whole Southern Hemisphere on the world map for having the biggest Mosque.This Complex has a free Clinic open to the public, a school , a Barber, Turkish sweet confectionary and is now hosting open markets Monday -Sunday but most only start around lunch time. a bookstore and a couple of restaurants. A walk through gallery with interesting art work, mosques around the world and most importantly some artifact pictures about Muhammad.Even though I’m Roman Catholic by birth, coming into the mosque wearing the robe and just sitting inside the mosque and listening to the silence when it empty or others praying surely has an effect on us.The mosque inside is detailed and beautiful has order and kindly follow the etiquette ... For respect.It smells so amazing inside and always being cleaned.For us and the family it’s a lovely weekend space to have the kids play while roaming the markets and have a good Sunday Turkish lunch.

Nizamiye Masjid is a beautiful place for everyone to visit. The atmosphere is amazing and is a place of tranquility and beauty. The architecture of the mosque itself is stunning with beautiful arches , minarets and interior decor and design. They have a library and sort of museum with old relics. If you stop to pray here , it is a beautiful experience to listen to the melodious recitals of Quraan. During ramadhaan everybody breaks their fast together in a large dining hall with food that is provided. There is a place for children to play and run about as well. There are even shops and restaurants to choose from. The mosque is lit up at night and is a stunning work of art. Great place as a tourist destination. Would really recommend this as an outing and visit to one of the most beautiful mosques in Johannesburg.

The beauty of the masjid is breathtaking every time I visit. Its peacefulness and tranquility attracts me to this magnificent masjid. The Turkish interior, colours, and design is perfect. The various angles and curvatures remind me of the various levels of sufism. In here I feel calmness, peace of mind and relaxed. The gallery makes me want to visit Turkey, especially after seeing all the artifacts that are hosted in the Turkish museums. Females are welcomed and have separate entrances and comfortable ablution facilities. The quaint array of Turkish cuisine and fashion makes it a visit that ticks all the boxes. Definitely worth a visit for Muslims and non Muslims alike.

This is one of the most iconic masjids one simply has to visit when close to Midrand.It is known as the biggest Masjid complex in the Southern Hemisphere...and not for nothing.The architecture and attention to detail is certainly first class.We went there for lunch after Jumah at the Turkish restaurant...fantastic experience.Gelato ice cream... I found some divine Lemon icecream...Makes a strong argument for a MUST.. for the Islamic tourist.

The mosque is huge. Built in style of the Blue Mosque in Turkey. The mosque is also a part of the Nizamiye complex, which houses a school (primary and high), a clinic and a small pazaar that includes a Bakery restaurant and others. Friday prayer is made here. And the Nizamiye masjid does give tours that you can arrange for as an excursion or just to see the magnificent view.
