2 claims in less than a year were approved by Pineapple for my cellphone, I honestly expected issues with my 2nd claim and the only issue I experienced is that it took them 3 weeks to get back to me, but once they did, the process was seamless. Im definitely staying with them 😌 ☺

Ive been a Pineapple client since 2019 and so far the service is good. The App makes it easy to communicate and get information. I really hope they expand their offering to more products such as pet insurance and medical insurance.

App is user friendly and simple. Getting a quote to insure your items is quick. Have not needed to claim yet.

Ive never really had insurance but love this product. You earn points which are actually useful and it literally takes two minutes to cover ones items. Definitely a need in this day and age.

Steer clear of this company. They find any excuse not to pay, take an excessively long time to give you feedback. Do not insure a high-value car with them. Definitely cancelling my policy.

Signing up was hassle free, I had a claim for my phones back and front screen, the correspondence was on point. My claim was approved within a week of submitting relevant details

Guys, be careful of this especially if you want to insure a car, their app is easy to use and you can adjust your excess/premium. However, the premium you choose will not be the same as what they will debit you, in my case they debited almost double, when you ask, they tell you well investigate & it ends there.

Stay clear from this company.. They take ages to give feedback. There are no contact details, so you cant even call them....

I signed up with Pineapple as the app is amazing and fun to play with. The rewards program seem very fair and excited to earn points.

The only issue I have with Pineapple is how delayed their claims process is. It took almost 2 months to finalize my cellphone claim. And it took over a month to get feedback on my vehicle damage claim. I also have a TV claim which they are busy with now. But that took over a month for it to be registered after they said that their system is not showing the claim I submitted

My phone got stolen on the 28th of September 2021. I immediately reported it to cell c to get the ITC number and to Blacklist it. All necessary documents was also send to pineapple insurance on the 28th of September. Its the 1st of October 2021 and still nithing. Now Bianca tells met that pineapple is short staffed. This is not the customers fault. All my business is done on my phon. I explained it to Bianca and still after spending all the necessary information im still waiting.

Honestly they’re a breath of fresh air. The last time I had insurance for my items was through a carrier and it was more red tape and hiding behind procedures than providing peace of mind. Kudos pine apple

I submitted a claim on the 24 May 2021 for my iPhone. It was collected by the courier and sent to the Dent Doctor. Received a text that a damage report was sent to Pineapple. Still nothing to this day. No email, No call and no text. They still have my iPhone by the way

Getting a policy was easy. I insured my device as soon as it came out of the box. The value of the premium is also within my means because I am a full time student.

I have not done any claims but I can comment on the simplicity of the sign up process and insuring my stuff, and the app is just good, talk about compact yet simple design and functionality. Will def come back for another review!!

An update from an earlier Facebook post. It is now 2 months 5 days... Still waiting on the agent to get back to me...Absolutely disappointing! Its been 1 month 24 days since I made a simple damage claim on my cellphone and I am still nowhere near to getting it back. An obvious hardware issue (I took my phone to iRepair for an independent damage assessment) is being repeatedly diagnosed as software (very convenient as they do not cover software issues) and my phone keeps on acting up after a couple of hours of use. 🤦‍♂️To think I have been recommending Pineapple to all of my friends. Turns out the convenience is getting covered and thats where it stops. Best believe I will be following up to advise anyone against the use of your service.

I would not advice anyone to insure with pineapple. Their claims process is a hustle. They do not respond. They will ask you for all impossible things saying they want to validate the claim. You will do everything on your side to get hold of them and they will not get back to you.

Pineapple insurance is pathetic! My advice - stay very far away from them! They just steal your money and don’t help you insure anything! I have been requesting help for over a month but yet they will not respond to my car insurance claim !

I havent had a problem whenever I need help with something I get helped and its also good because you get points for being insured with them.

Delays when you want to claim, even canceled my policy with them. I have a week and still they havent got back to me. Yet when its time for their debit order they never delay.👎

The App is great easy to use but wait until you claim for what youve insured..its a total disasterClaimed my broken screen last year November and i completely understand that December was a busy month and i also go delayed with quotation for my phone but from there i kept on contacting them but still these no movement and my claims assistance Bianca can really delay

It is affordable and safe to use

After all the good reviews I was disappointed with how my claim was handled. I forwarded all the required documents on the 7th and was informed that the turn around was 3 to 5 days or sooner if I provided all that was required. A day later I was asked for more requirementsa and informed that the claim would be finalised on the following Monday. On Tuesday afternoon the claim was finalised and I submitted the signed settlement offer yesterday morning the 13th. Payment has not been released more than a day later and now they say it will only reflect in another 3 to 5 working days?

Pineapple took my phone for repairs on the 27th of October 2020 till today no responseThey have bad customer service
