Tv channels limited, room is small, pillows are uncomfortable. It just wasnt what I expected. Only to good thing was the wifi connection was good.

There is no place to leave your gun or other valuables items.Overall I had good weekend in Sun1 Midrand xem Such a chilled quite place.I personally would not recommend it if you want to spend more nights.Try using the bottom of the beds, for wardrobes.

Very good customer care, rooms are very clean, pricing at 625 a room which is quite reasonable. The few things that I ddnt like was that they put one ply toilet paper that one made from recycled paper 😬. I felt disrespected. Downside is they dont sell drinks on site. Boring to have to drive down to shops just for that.

Definitely not a five star establishment but it does the job. Rooms are quite small for more than three guests.

There was load shedding when we arrived(hotels always have back up generators) the receptionist said we can wait until the electricity is back which came back around 22.30pm. We sat in the car because it was cold. When my husband went back to check in she informed him only then that they only have smoking rooms available.Im pregnant and obviously wont take such a room. Had to go look for other accommodation at night.Oh n the receptionist said only the corridors smell of smoke when my husband asked to see n smell the room she says we cant.

Overall everything was fine, except for the place to put my luggage. I dont like to put my bag on the floor. And aslo the sheet to cover the mattress was finished and small. It saw its better days. Get a fitted sheet to hug the mattress nicely, so that it does not keep coming off. Not forgeting to put the soap holder on the shower. I do not like to put my soap on the floor.

Nice rooms, excellent staff, unfortunately no kettle for making coffee ( so I had to buy a cheap one), no mini microwave to heat up ready made meals. No generator when load shedding.. otherwise very pleasant.

My stay was great. Arrived way too late at night so I immediately went to bed and spent a few hours trying to sleep. When I had to leave I was a bit late so I kind of left my room upside down. When I got back that evening everything was clean, my clothes packed well and the room was straightened up. It was a great relief. The whole stay was awesome, everything you would need you had and did not have to share. I did hate that some guests would shout into rooms from the passage - not very considerate.All in all, great place, good vibe around, access to taxify is great. I will be staying there again soon

Certainly not for me, no space in room, whole set up was unexpected, I know the price is low, about a third of the normal Tsogo Sun offering.Service also far below par. Could not bring myself to use their towels, could not get between the sheets, am not going back there, not in this lifetime.

Very simple and convenient. Not so easy to find it though.The entrance could do with some improvement so guests can see where they are without a struggle.

Budget and pocket friendly place to stay when on business trip. The rooms are moderate and the environment is peaceful and quiet and secure. The exterior is quite clean. I visited the toilet by the lounge and it was a bit untidy, which is not too good as visitors to the hotel guests are expected to use that toilet. It is also one of the places that most likely will give first impression to prospective hotel customers or would be guests.

But some guests are not considerable when walking down the passage, they make noise

Please consider secure parking space to minimize damage that may happen to cars due to severe storms. Not only that, but protection from the sun as wellIt will give guests peace of mind to correct that, and it will add value to the whole experience of visiting your establishment.

It is indeed a budget hotel. Though modern the rooms are smaller than I expected. They sold expired yoghurt in the lobby.

The rooms are are so small for a budget hotel from a brand hotel chain. The TV has only SABC channels and one etv channel so if you are sports fan no DSTV for you and that will frustrate you. There is free WiFi though to keep yourself busy in your phone since the TV channels are limited. The rooms looks like a student dorm room but without a table and chair. So if you staying hoping to study or do some business. You have to use the bed which is not ideal. Overall, the design of the rooms at this hotel is only for sleeping and bathing and nothing else. The bedding is old we had one that had cigarette burn hole on it. The rooms have no phones for room service. Not impressive at all. Rather book yourself in BnB or guesthouse you will get your moneys worth.

You get what you pay for. In relation to this hotel it is very good value for money for its location.

It is a quaint and affordable place to stay in overnight. I would suggest better TV quality and a few more inches of toilet space - one gets claustrophobic in this tiny toilet area. Otherwise its perfect for just overnight stay

Good customer service at lobby and the facilities have everything you need as a traveller and no fuzz. Only complaint is housekeeping makes noise very early morning chatting in the corridors

The room had the worst smell ever to make it worse the security knew the room was bad still they rented it out to us will never. Stay here again

All can say, you are already accommodated before you book. There is always a place for everyone and the staff are so friendly.

I have had the opportunity to stay in lots of the Sun 1 hotels. And I must say Midrand Sun 1 is top notch.

The lady who helped me with booking was not nice with me

Checked in and cancelled, room smelled, bedding awful, had a room on the third floor and had to carry luggage up the stairwell as there is no lifts available. Way below par for Tsogo Sun standards. The pictures and reviews do not do justice. And also the really cheap toilet paper with an almost finished roll on the roller (probably the cheapest ) just makes it tacky and awful. Something like you will expect from the HOURLY RATE places.

Poor service, receptionist not very welcoming, rooms very small. No dstv. No wifi. Breakfast very poor, practically non existence.
