This review is based on getting a quotation from them. All I wanted is to get a quote from them, the agent that called me was so rude it actually disgusts me. I refused to provide my bank details because all I wanted is to get a quote and what services and benefits they provide. Obviously I would want to compare other insurance companies and then choose the best option for myself. However, he was literally forcing me to provide my bank details and even told me to log into my banking app and (in his own words) said get this over and done with. I did not even have a chance to say goodbye and ended the call. Just purely on this encounter I would not sign up with them. If this is the service and attitude they provide I would look else where.

Worst experience ever. Spend 2.5 hours at airport sorting out incorrent rental vehicle allocated to me as upgrade was never effected on my policy.

This is a worst insurance company ever. I have been requesting for my Policy Schedule for a month without a success. The call centre seems to be naive and incompetent blaming the system error for over a month. I requested to speak to the Manager of the call centre agent; Jabulani but the manager was avoiding my calls. I was on the line for 30 mins without no one answering my call. Dont waste your money on these people.

Warning: Following someone driving into me; Auto & General attempted to repair my car despite it costing more to fix than it was worth. I had to fight them for months on this as they moved the car from one disreputable panel beater to the next (never telling me where my car was and trying to hide it). Only after paying for my own insurance investigator do they relent.Later I discovered false reports on my insurance record where Auto & General listed amounts they paid for car accidents that they never paid out to me -- ever. They even listed my renting a car as another car accident! All this cause me to almost be rejected by my new insurance company.Auto & General are by far worse insurance company I have ever dealt with and I would advise anyone out there to stay away from them.
