The staff are friendly and so welcoming😘😘😘. Its super safe, they really do ensure that the guests are safe and sound. The lodge has a generator, bar area as well as an entertainment area for those late nights to unwind. Crowthorne Lodge 10/10 🙂

Was booked here 2 weeks for work. and my gosh was it the best 2 weeks where I have ever been booked before. Thank you so much Jesse who is the receptionist for how great you made this trip. And two the two lovely owners who made it feel like home away from home. Also just to state that the dinner and breakfast served is the best you will ever have.The Rooms are spacious, The showers are comfortable, The cleaning service is fast, the beds are HUGE (king) and there are tables in each room to accommodate you with a work space. In the summer they have a pool, and in winter a nice fire going each evening in the social area (which is really really social and friendly)I would 10/10 recommend this lodge for whatever it may be, Meetings, Business trip accommodation or even just in general.

Pretty much all about the place is good. Most about it is excellent. I love a place that has bacon for breakfast these days. (Just order your eggs well done.)

I have stayed at many accommodations in Gauteng previously but will only stay at Crowthorne Lodge from now on. The hospitality at Crowthorne Lodge is phenomenal. The place is very clean, neat and the food is good. Did not even charge me for the drinks i consumed. Big thumbs up to Bianca and her team.

Ive never felt this welcome in a guest house. Very warm welcome and a nice homey feel. Owners are extremely friendly. Facilities are more than adequate. Rooms are spacious.

A really magical place that combines nature and comfort with the only thing better than the meals and accommodation being the warmth of the people there. They treat you like family and special shout out to the cooks and Bianca who made sure we were always taken care of...walking around with wifi in her pockets.Definitely a place to return to again soon.

We stayed at lodge every two weeks after a month since August last year 2017 From the moment we arrived we knew this stay was going to be special because they gave us a warmly welcome. The lodge is beautiful and our room was so gorgeous. The staff are so friendly and the drive could take us everywhere we want to go around the area . I couldn’t believe how good the food was at the lodge. So many options for breakfast, the dinner were so fresh and healthy and so much choice for dinner. and the lodge provided a bomb for entertainment .We were so sad to leave but we will definitely be back. We found it really difficult choosing a lodge as they’re so much options but don’t hesitate on booking crowthorne lodge theres so much fun, you won’t regret it!

Mediocre at best. Self-catering apparently in Gauteng is apparently different from the rest of world, where it means you can cater for yourself.... With all the kitchen supplies needed for making food. Service was average .

The Crowthorne Lodge was by far the best. From the moment you get picked up from the airport , you know that this is going to be a special place. The family that owns and operates the lodge are by far some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure meeting. They are so warm and welcoming and really make you feel at home. The hospitality is second to none and the food that they prepare here is delicious from the pap to the braai and even the beer and wine. The biltong that they gave me as a gift was amazing!! I also had the fortunate experience of staying at Crowthorne for three weeks. If you ever want the home-away-from-home experrience, this is where you will find it. Not once was the room not cleaned, not once was the food not ready, not once was the bar not open(and that one we used a lot), not once did you not feel welcome. I have the highest respect for both Dirk and Adri for their hospitality and warm friendlyness they greeted us with every day. First of all, the owners of Crowthorne Lodge, Dirk and Adri Winterbach must be the best hosts that I have ever experienced in my life. I have been to many Hotels, Lodges and Guest Houses over the years, not only in South Africa, but also abroad, and this was by far the best experience I have had in my life.
