Would not recommend AFH for a wedding party. They almost ruined what was, thankfully a perfect wedding because we chose to take our 6 dresses to a different place to rectify their mess. Went in June for a wedding in September and till the last minute our dresses looked nothing like what we wanted and no one was keen on fixing them. They didnt know whos dress belonged to who. We were called for fittings every weekend from August(some of us driving from Parys to Midrand), only to find the same unfinished dress every time. It was terribly depressing for our bride and discouraging for us bridesmaids. Prices are expensive and very little effort made on the dresses, they couldnt even add stiffening to give dresses desired effect, dresses werent even overlocked on the day of collection. A mess!

Terrible service, my goodness. Dont ever go to Africa House. If you do - ensure you have plan B.At first I was in contact with them via WhatsApp, and the person told me the specific dress I am looking for is in stock. So, I decided to order online for collection in Midrand (it was on 12 September 2021).The order tracking said the dress will be ready for collection between 21 September and 30 September 2021.Today is 11 October 2021, the order tracking now says tailoring. How can it be in tailoring when firstly they had said there is stock, secondly the order was to be ready before 30 September?

The service was fairly good. I almost returned without my dress, as I was told its no longer available, until another lady made an effort to look for it and in exact my size.Thank you Africa Fashion House fory beautiful dress, I will surely come back for more outfits🌻

Extremely disappointed. Ive never had an issue with them before, but this time ordered something some months back, was told its available for collection. I drove all the way to midrand to collect only to be told the fabric is finished. I mean what the hell, why tell me its available for collection then?I then asked for a refund only to be told that they dont do refunds with online orders, that I must pick another item. I was too frustrated to want to even browse through their items at this point so I said Ill just pick something online later. I honestly dont even want to at this point, but rather that than flushing my money down the drain because of their in incompetence.

Good first impression but terrible service. We went to the store and were assisted by Grace. She didnt have the size of the dress we wanted and therefor made arrangements to have it tailored. Took all the measurements and the deposit. We specified the date we will come back to collect. She promised that she will see to it that the dress is ready on the day of collection. 2 days before collection date we called the store, only to be told Grace is on leave. She didnt leave any details for her colleagues to assist with her order and apparently they couldnt reach her on the phone to check with her. We ended up not going to collect as we were told she will only return in two weeks. I guess we will have to see if we ever get the dress on her return to work.

The fabric is great quality. Prices reasonable. Im Glad i purchased from them and sure will be buying more. My colleagues and family blamed me for not telling them early. Good products for your money.

SCAM ALERT , SCAM ALERT!!!!! Ordered a dress and shirt nearly a month ago (July 11). When I queried the lack of updates, I was told it would arrive a week ago- still nothing. No response to my emails or calls. Finally picked up my calls and made me wait online while they looked for the order which WAS STILL IN THE SHOP They promised to send in 1 day, I still wait today with no tracking details. Not worth the stress!!!!Update: (AUG 10) My call placed on hold for over 3 minutes after I asked for the Tracking number for a parcel that was with the couriers. Phone now engaged. Parcel reflects as packaged on the website with no tracking information available.Update: Placed on hold AGAIN while looking for tracking number for a parcel they are sure they delivered. WORST customer service.Update: No dresses. No refund. No responses to email or phone calls. Going to the police tomorrow :(

They need someone who will manage their orders properly and advise/update when fabrics are out of stock or if there are any delays caused by unforseen circumstances. Otherwise, they make nice clothes but lack communication with customers

I ordered online and selected the option of 3 days guaranteed delivery in Gauteng, received my order within an hour. The quality of the fabric is very good. When I ordered I was a bit worried about sizes but my dress fits perfectly fine. Im impressed

Was not happy with the service we got ..they told us our outfits will be done in a week for first fitting then day before fitting they call late in the evening to tell us to reschedule which obviously means they havent done a thing ..they literally took 3 whole weeks to get it done and we still has to wait on the day of collection because there was still few items missing ..sooo disappointed..dont think Ill ever visit the place again..communication skills and customer service are very unethical!!!! Was not happy with PRIMROSE she was the one who assisted she needs to work on customer and communication skills!!!

Worst place to ever to get an outfit done. My sister and I had outfits done in August for a function in September. The worst thing we could do to ourselves. The Midrand branch is useless, the service was bad you wait hours just for a fitting, deadlines are set but can never be met because they will only sow the day you coming for your fitting. They will call you to tell you that they dont have material when the dress was ordered weeks ago. On pick up outfit had threads hanging, glue prints and not even pressed. After all that we realised we did a mistake. Now trying to get a refund the store is giving us the run around. In my honest opinion what ever you do, dont go near this store for your sanity. Should of read these reviews before I wasted my money. I will never recommend this place even to my worsted enemy. I actually would give them a minus 1 star rating instead of a 1. As we continue to fight for our refund. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE.

I ordered three dresses and matching shirts in April 2021 on promo. The quality of the fabrics is quite exceptional I have to say. However, when I went to collect from their Midrand store I waited a good one hour while they were running around trying to get my order ready. This was surprising as I had called in two days prior and was told my order was ready for collection (one month later). I get home and one of the dresses doesn’t fit. It’s obviously a small size. No size tags on any of the items. Quite disappointing.

It only sells online. Anything in the shop is for display and there isnt much to view. Its located in a bit of remote area. The staff was friendly. The specials online apparently run daily by the hour. Should you require any additions to the items, itll be extra charges of course and can go in for.measurements for anything you want custom designed. Lovely place.

Oh my goodness can people be so heartless i had thee worst experience at AFH, as a bride the dress is the most important part of the whole event and to have people so disrespectful and not considerate had to be the most numbing thing ever. If staff is overwelmed rather turn people back than promise us lies these are moments in life that are memorable and stay with us forever. And AFH made it a nightmare.

Ordered and paid online. Waited for over a year with no correspondence. When you call them they keep you on hold and keep taking down your details. They never call back. Masters of poor finishing, lost items, excuses and wrong sizes. Honestly a poorly run business specialising in low quality of despicable proportions.

I made a big order for our wedding. About 6 pairs of clothes for my sisters and their partners. It was 2 weeks late from delivery date. Had to call almost everyday to find out how far my order waas and kept getting the runaround, finally 2 days before the wedding it arrives and im missing one set of items. A dress and matching tshirt. I called till i was black and blue afterwards trying to get my order. Their clothes are beautiful but delivery service is poor,poor, poorest. The other order was on my graduation day, had to collect it at the airport myself because they had not sent the dress untill i kept calling over n over. Finally a kind lady helped get it too me. Till this day i never got back my delivery fee. Never got a refund on missing items. Its disappointing really. Dnt bother buying online.

I sent them an email and they replied after a week saying I should come collect my order as it’s ready for collection or I should get a credit. This is a robbery. Worst experience ever. I made an order online on the 26th of April for callection at Wonderpark and they went silent. Tried contacting them countless times which ended in them blocking me on their facebook page and ignoring my emails and calls. I asked for a refund but that was also ignored, trully unhappy with their service. Their customers mean nothing to them

So disorganized yerrrrrrr its just really annoying.I waited a good 50 min to get my full order... Was told to come pick up my order on a certain day. On that particular day I go pick and I get stories that one item isnt available in the size I ordered n I must come back.... Which was never gonna be possible..... No one tells me anything as I waited only to find out after that they were still altering...

Ordered and delivered the Mali range for my family within the committed timelines. The outfits are very nice, havent worn or washed as yet. The only thing is that the sleeve may be slightly tight for me, did request for adjustment to accommodate but...The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I had 2 orders, 1 for collection and the other 1 for delivery. I went to collect on the the stipulated date but order was not ready so I sent whatsapp and called in to ask for the order to be included with the delivery 1 as I had already left Joburg and I was told the relevant department was told and it will be done like that. To my surprise I received only 1 order and only when I call Im told they tried their best. Very disappointing service.

Im shocked at how horrible the service I am receiving is. I ordered over 4 times and waited until the last item was ready for collection. I contacted them to find out collection but no response. To date I have not received my order, no sms apologies, no email explaining the delay nothing, I sent an email to follow up on my order...dololo, response, the whatsapp number directs you to phone them as they have hight volume of whatsapp messages and when you call the number I forever unavailable...are we being robbed of our hard earned cash? Is this a scam? What in the hell...

Collected my order, got home and loved the dress pity me, my granma loved the dress more than me, she couldnt stop praising the material and the cut and she won the dress over me. Great customer service.

You must work on your communication with your customers. Update them if theres delays, also time management make sure you deliver at the exact date you choose if the dates changes update. Other than that good service🙏🙏

Pathetic sevice! Their standard and quality has drop since 2019.  My scheduled date for first fitting was moved when I was at the shop!!!!! Day of collection I had to wait for my dress at the shop, the day I had to collect. I was the one following them around at if I work there. I was still expected to pay the full amount. Never again!!! Im good, had enough. Teach you staff about accountability, no one ever knows anything, nor want to be responsible. Clearly to much money has been made and they do not care about other customers.

I bought a two piece outfit from them in March, it arrived and it was incomplete. The two piece outfit did not have the bust tie that it was supposed to have. Also the material was not worth the price even though the outfit was beautiful.Anyway, Ive been trying to get them to take their dress back and give me back my money, but Ive been ignored, given the run around and its just been a mess. First I spoke to them on whatsapp, they gave me a link to email, when i emailed them, they replied several days later asking me for my phone number, when I sent it via email, they did not reply. Ive called them several times now and the first time the consultant had an attitude and hung up on me? Like sis???Anyway would not recommend anyone buy here. Its sad because they have really beautiful pieces, the customer service is terrible.

Looking at the reviews, I am tempted to assume that the best way to enjoy the quality material that comes with the brand is to buy in store. My personal experience is vastly different however from the reviews I am seeing here.I have been following this brand for a long time with keen interest. Eventually I took advantage of their Friday specials and place an order. Like a classic mom I wanted to twin properly with my son and daughter so I got a T shirt for him and a dress for her. Lo and behold, my order did not arrive.I ordered in early April and we are heading into 1 month of incredibly friendly promises to deliver but no delibery - note that these came at my cost not that of AFH. I had to spend my money to find out that their staff (person responsible for my order - Debby Molongoana) just decided not to notify me that their many courier companies (as per their website there are several also internal issue) were having problems.3 delivery dates not met later, I am still standing with money paid but no goods received. On requesting for a refund I am informed that they do not do refunds (go figure). However, their website terms and conditions say different, there are literally no qualifications in their refund policy.No asking for a senior person to resolve this, I am told they do not function that way - The way of having someone oversee and hold people to account for willful negligence within a company in my opinion. When I actually said this to the customer service agent, I was informed that someone is coming in later and will call me back - but then again this Africa Fashion House - Do they know how to deliver on their promises really? Or is that an after thought. Have specials and get the money in, delivery of the goods is optional.I am still waiting on the call and the refund - my purchase is after all governed by their terms and conditions.

The worst customer experience ever at Africa Fashion House. I ordered 19 April 2021. They promised to deliver 29 April 2021. They did not. NO feedback whatsoever until I followed up 10 May 2021. MIRANDA promised she would expedite the delivery for 11 May 2021. Apologized and all. 11 May 2021 still no delivery!!! No update. Tjuuu. NEVER shem!!! I have already missed two occasions that I could have worn the ordered items. THE WORST!!!
