Bought a gift card for someone for their birthday. They tried using it the next day and the card wasnt working. They didnt want to give a refund or try helping. Then told us to leave the card there and come back the next day when it was sorted

After my previous experience, ive felt like avoiding Pick n Pay @ the middelburg mall would be best to prevent me from bursting a vein in my head, however i did visit there over the weekend just to match prices on certain items and was i surprised to find that many things have changed. Well done, hope you keep this up. Service is a whole lot better, staff is friendlier, most pricing seems updated and wet floor issue at the cold meats fridges were taken care of... or at least it was not there on Saturday. I like when an issue is raised that something gets done about it. Its what keeps your customers from walking out. Thank you kindly for the effort.

Not very impressed, as far as Pick n Pay stores go. Shelves were empty, the staff that were filling shelves had trolleys blocking aisles more worried about finishing the day than the customers that keep them employed. Queue at the cigarette counter (10 items or less) had 20 odd staff members not just talking but shouting to each other not adhering to the social distancing rules. When I asked where a product was, was told to go look in the fridges at the back or look around in the fridges around the tills and then ignored when I said I had been there and there wasnt what I wanted. Same old issues with most supermarkets..... 20 tills and 3 open. For a month end day and plenty of customers in the store that is ridiculous.
