Its a beautiful resort. The chalets are well maintained and it was a great experience with the wildlife Roaming between the chalets. No cellphone or data networks available except for at the little shop in the resort. Loved the vacation ❤️

Was a great weekend away!Staff were friendly & helpful. We had a leaking geyser Sunday morning. Didnt wait 5 minutes for Maintenance to attend to the problem once reported.

I asked my girlfriend to marry me at the resort, they were very helpful in organizing a picnic basket for us on the house with a free game drive.I would like to thank every person at the resort helping me make it a special day for her.

One of the best places my family and I have visited. Rooms are clean, big with modern furnishings. We had a lovely view of the small dam and mountain. Fireplace is a plus. Facilities are excellent, we did kayaking, tennis, table tennis, kids game room, putt putt and lots more. Game drive was fun but no big 5. Monkeys are smooth criminals so ensure windows and doors and closed shut! We will definitely be going back but we were happy to go this last weekend as there were very few families. I can imagine it gets busy because of all the available activities.

Enjoyed our stay. Restaurant has a limited variety on the menu but fine for a short stay if you are not in the “self-catering” mood for the duration of your stay. Facilities are in a good condition but they are also adding new modern chalet’s at the moment which looks great 👍🏻

Quiet getaway near to nature yet with beautiful swimming facilities, putt putt, tennis etc. Lovely restaurant and bar with seats in open.The dwelling units are very comfortable and meets all requirements with excellent own braai facilities. Cleaning services are daily and staff are properly trained, friendly and very helpful. Assistance starts with downloading of baggage and food on arrival and exit. Enjoyable game drives with informed ranger.If you enjoy nature away from city lights at affordable price this is it. Current units being upgraded at present

Wonderful staff, wonderful hiking trails, wonderful accommodation, was fantastic to walk amongst all the wildlife, would definately recommend the giraffe trail.

The game drive is well worth the money spent. Our driver Doc displayed a good sense of humour. His driving and manoeuvring skills of the vehicle were faultless.

Very neat plane and the people is so friendly. Loved the hiking trails and they are well marked so you wouldnt get lost. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

Had a very pleasant stay. Great amenities and surroundings. Exelent service from all staff making one feel very welcome. Not a single price on any product @ their convenient store and R40 for a single Magnum ice cream is day light robbery so bring your own desert!

What a beautiful resort. Such a pity that we had NO WATER for our entire weekend. Pretty disgusting considering we are in a pandemic. Staff should have been seeing that we had fresh water continuously BUT NO ONE followed up not a manager in sight to complain to either. Very disappointing.

I definitely won’t be coming back. Staff were rude and we had no water we had to fight for water to be delivered to our units because pumps were broken. I understand that your pump was broken but at least look after your guests you are supposed to be a 3 star hotel and we are in the middle of a global pandemic and you have posters in all the units on how to wash your hands but yet we couldn’t do that and there was no sanitizer in any of the units.

Absolutely appalling service by staff received this past weekend. NO water for the whole weekend, we had to beg numerous times to be told, to use the dam water to cook and clean. The gentleman and lady at reception showed no interest to assist us.We asked to speak to the manager but were told he/she is unavailable as they are off.Sadden that we experienced such a horrible weekend at this beautiful resort, all due to their rude and unhelpful staff.

Peaceful place, the chalet that we got was abit small K6, there was no dinner table or island. However when we checked out we were shown other bigger and spacious ones to consider the next time we come. Signal is a problem at this place, if its school holidays and you are there with kids and you want to work then youll get a headache you can only get at reception. Otherwise beautiful place, Peaceful, excellent staff and plenty things to do for kids. Will be back better prepared.

What we really liked about the place was the cleanliness of the house. Christina the house keeper was friendly and kind. Game drive by Doc was my highlight. Usually I struggle to sleep when I am not in my house, however at Waterberg it was a different experience, I could sleep peaceful.The only challenge was poor network connection.Keep up the good work. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Incredible family get away with so many activities for everyone in the family. Staff were so awesome and there is a great on sight restaurant. Activities go from hiking to, kayaking, fishing a pool, multi purpose court, chess, swimming with a slide and multiple jungle gyms and a giant air bag. Would highly reccomend this. Buck and warthog roam free and there games drives give you a chance to get up close with wildlife. The room srr well equipped and cleaned daily. We will be back soon.

Beautiful resort but the unit was disgusting. the pillows and blankets smelt like vomit the geyser burst and the place got flooded and they sent someone to fix it who did not even wear a mask! its sucj a pity. such a beautiful resort but not well kept at all. waste of my money and time as i had the place booked from Friday to Friday and we just couldnt handle it anymore and we left on Monday. owners should maintain the chalets. definitely not recommended. there was even blood on the bedding.

Nice breakaway from city life. Expect 15 minutes drive with a bakkie. Normal sedan not recommended. The some Chalets are recently renovated. Quite and peaceful.

Lovely place, clean and peaceful with good facilities. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ground roads leading to the entrance have some challenges for smaller sedans and 4x4 SUV is highly recommended.

The vacation was amazing. Being surrounded by nature is definitely what you need when youre at a vacation. Their staff was so friendly and welcoming.However we encountered some problems during our stay. There was no network everywhere except at the reception or at the gate, you wouldnt make or receive any calls or messages at the rooms that were designated for you. If youre planning to go to Waterberg Game Park, I urge you to please buy water because their water is so dirty and cloudy, it is not for drinking purposes the way it was so dirty. The cupboards were broken and not modern style. The door in our room W8 was broken. The convenience store was so expensive. It forces you to leave and go out to buy at a nearest store which is 30km away from our stay.

Peaceful environment. Activities to do include Mini Golf, big play area for kids and mountain biking. Tennis court as well as big chess play area. There is a Restaurant and bar area and Boma on the big patio area to lit during winter time. Big swimming pool area with water slide for childrens pleasure. All chalets have a outside patio with braai area to relax outside.

Could unfortunately only stay one night. Very peaceful retreat. The resort is well maintained with nice facilities. Food quality in the restaurant is excellent. Thanks!

Lovely place with excellent family entettainment facilities. Unfortunately signal for cellphones and wi-fi is limited to office and restaurant areas. Game viewing is only by the lodge game viewer at a cost.

Perfect place to relax, wonderful places to walk, play chess or putt- putt. Thirsty warthog bar is worth remembering. Staff efficient and courteous. Really worth a visir

Accommodation clean and perfect for the game park setting. Great for a restful break. Restaurant and bar well run and nice and informal. Hope it gets very busy as its a great spot for families

The place is very nice and beautiful. It will be appreciated if group booking can be group booking. I was at E3 and my family was at H7 which was too far for me. Poor network connection need immediate attention. For facilities accommodating all age groups pushes you to be a 4 star.

Well run resort. This was our fourth stay at this resort. Will try to go again next year.

The accommodation was excellent. Spotless. The restaurant/bar area not great at all. Service is shocking and Management poor. The shop is a total waste of time and very poorly stocked. However still worth 4 Stars for the accommodation and views. The trip is still well worth it. Just make sure you have all your supplies for self catering

Perfect for a retreat and when you dont want people to bother you. Just drive with an SUV. The gravel is friendlier.

Perfect getaway from the hussel and bussel of city life. Not much cell signal, but perfect for family bonding and some R and R. Casual activities for kids, walking trails were pleasantly fun. Nature right on your door step.

For me, a pensioenare, it is quiet enough. Wide open spaces but when you want to be with people the swimming pool, bar and restuarant is the place to be. We are regular visitors of this Park. So yes, we had a enjoyable weekend! There is also a jumping pillow, put put and tennis courts for the young by heart.

Great outdoors experience! Game numbers on the low side, but bush in great condition. Chalets well equipped and serviced daily. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the safe environment they could freely ride bikes and play.

Spent the weekend for a 50th, we had no water for the duration of our stay, had to beg to get water to flush the toilets, staff kept telling us it was the managers weekend off, I know things happen that are out of someones control, but you get rated on how you overcome those challenges, I for one will never go back.

Theres one negative aspect to this place that really takes away from all the positive aspects; The restaurant which is horribly managed by Leon...The food is substandard, Leon is rude, dishonest and shouts at staff memebers in the presence of guests, the Chef/cook was not available to make breakfast on one of the days.If you love good food, pleasant service from a restaurant manager DO NOT COME HERE!! youre better off cooking your own food in your own chalet...and who wants cook on Holiday??

Well appointed rooms. Very tranquil and an excellent place to unwind. 12km of dirt road from the asphalt Road which is tricky to negotiate at some points.Disappointed that we saw very little of the claimed variety of bird species; in fact, almost no birds inside the chalet area.Pool water was actually quite cold for summer, perhaps 22 deg. C with a day temperature of over 30 deg. C.Game drive was good; very informed guide which made for a pleasant outing although there are a limlted variety of wildlife.

A quiet resort that is great for birdwatchers with benches all over the resort. The unit we stayed n was neat, clean well equipped and maintained. Cell phone reception is only available at reception and at the bar.There is not much to do but to rest, the kids can entertain themselves on a large air mattress the playground, swimming pool, mini golf course and a playroom. Small game visits the units and that includes the monkeys.The restaurant has got a limited selection of food but the portions were good, the prices fair.The shop keeps the basic items and stock is limited. Friendly staff and always willing to assist

Definitely a beautiful and quiet place to go. The staff by the restaurant, swimming pool and games area are so polite and welcoming. When I arrived at the reception, everything was good. Where I stayed was clean, but my information was given out, which disturbed my peace and other guests were told where I stay and my surname was used for someone elses booking. The reception said the issue will be sorted out when I reported it but nothing was resolved. This made the stay feel unsafe and always feeling like someone can just come into my room at any moment. I would recommend their facilities, but just be careful when staying there.

The resort is clean and the staff friendly. The trail walks very well marked and easy to follow.The restaurant definitely needs to be improved. They serve breakfast with toast but dont have any butter, a most basic requirement. Also the food was not great

The chalet was neat and comfortable - Thanks. I dont mind the wifi connectivity at the restaurant only, as the family gets a break from their cellphones. My husband had to work unfortunately. They tried to help with the connectivity at the restaurant area, which he really appreciated, but it timed out. So...connection available for non-intensive wifi requirements. The dams are empty. From what I can see, it was mentioned in other reviews from 2019 as well. Kayaking should then be removed as an activity - it will take a lot of rain to make kayaking possible again (unfortunately). Swimming pool could do with a bit of solar heating, just to break the extreme coldness. Restaurant manager was rude to my kids when they enquired about tennis rackets. Convenience store employee needs training - cant really answer any questions. Otherwise peaceful. Big issue for us - advertising the kayaking when its not available and wont be for some time.

I for one, cant wait for my weekend away to the waterberg in April, yippee.

Very relaxing and a beautiful place. Would have liked to see more of the game farm. Went on a game drive that was a little disappointing, but it was still very nice. A little pricey though.

One of my favourites for complete switching off. Be warned, Cellphone signal is only available at reception and at the entertainment centre. So you can really switch off from the rest of the world.

Amazing for family getaways. Medium sized resort with game wildlife but game drives can be booked at reception with nearby lodges. Stayed in a new 3 bedroom chalet,beautiful and very modern,had splash pool. Big pool with slide,games room for kids, table tennis ,mini golf,tennis courts and outside play arena for kids. Deck bar with great service and reasonable prices. Traders,mini market ,has most of what you may need e.g. snacks,toothpaste, small things but try to pack what you need,a bit secluded from a city and would require a drive to buy additional items. Terrain is hard to maneuver in standard vehicle in case of rain,roads become muddy and rocky if possible use a 4x4 as a precaution. Cell reception tricky at times.

Very hard pillows. No extra comforters/pillows. Everything comes standard as per reception. Kids movie cart doesnt work. Trampoline out of order. Bathroom drains were blocked. Braai globe was out of order. Everything needed to be checked by us, yet check in time is 3pm?Not accommodating in check out times. Barely any signal everywhere. The wifi doesnt work yet there are suppose to be boosters around. 11 km sand road so make sure you dont go with a car. Only plus was the game drive

Wonderful and just amazing great saff and great food

I loved, the place, its a self catering chalet. Ours accommodated a family of six. I love that fact that animals are just freely gracing just closer to our chalet, such as warthog spring bock and others. Its a very nice place and the chalets are beautiful, its another home away from my our own. I really recommend this place, the kids enjoyed the play area and the swimming pool. As for me, I enjoyed hiking with my girls. It was a nice experience.

Rooms not serviced good enough gas gets finish. Blankets with dirty marks. Not enough kitchen soap. But otherwise not bad
