Stayed at the Buffalo hotel for 5 nights. Service was very good the staff members at the reception and restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant was excellent. Room is equipped will all the necessary things and everything worked. Perfect place to stay for a night or 2 but will not recommend it for a long stay as it is not self catering units and it is a bit far from the Kruger National Park

What a wonderful overnight stop...we were stranded on the highway with a broken trailer axle on the highway - the Owner stopped and offered to take myself and my cousin to the hotel whilst our husbands made arrangements to repair the trailer. We were given a room free of charge to relax and refresh ourselves. The rooms are cosy and clean. There is a sparkling swimming pool and a friendly bar and pub area. The staff were extremely kind and courteous. A good place to take family with children.

Buffalo Hotel in Hectorspruit is very historic. The Buffalo bar has a preserved buffalo head trophy above the bar. Theres a ceremony called Kiss the Buffalo but you have to do it with your hands behind your back. You pay a fee for 1 shooter, a cap and a certificate confirming that you kissed this old buffalo! The patio area is pleasant on a Lowveld day. Its situated close to the 2 swimming pools, one of which is a warm pool.

We, as Komatipoort Wrestling Club hosted 24 American wrestlers and their couches from 8 to 10 August 2019, with a sleepover on the 9th of August 2019 at the Buffalo Hotel. We as a club would like to thank, Gert and his team for the excellent service we received. Everything were in place and on time as we asked for . Gert even doing one of the wrestlers whole bag of laundry after a cool drink spill did not put you off course. To you and your team, thank you so much for all your efforts, much appreciated.

Its terrible, the prices of the restaurant there is ridiculously expensive and their room service,terrible. When we got there, the floors were dirty and there is no privacy

The treatment they gave us was more great than what we asked for....

Buffalo wont be seeing us again, the manager was extremely rude to our group and then tried to make it out as a joke when spoke to about his comment. Please fix room 9s aircon, as no one can have a good nights rest with the noise coming form it.

I really wanted to like it. It was just not even an ok stay. As others have said, there were bugs in the rooms, the shower didnt drain properly, all 3 pools were in terrible condition. They needed cleaning and chlorine, and the filters probably were not working. The beds and pillows were lumpy and old. I could honestly go on but Ill just say, it appears like someone used to really love this place, but owners changed or something and its been neglected. Could be a neat place again with some investment and care.

Very Friendly Owner, Place is very clean and staffs are always smiles. There is 3 Pools here, you can do a few laps on a Olympic Size pool. Breakfast and Food was Excellent~ The only thing is WiFi, coverage inside room was not good. But I still give them a 5 Stars Rating~

If youre looking for good food, this is not the place to go. However, the lapa at the rear of the hotel is nice for a few drinks after work.

Verry relaxing and nice with 2 swimming pools and nice restaurants with beautiful accommodation.

The food is greasy and disgusting. Totally tasteless. Chips are a few days old. Huge pity that the owners are not putting any effort into this hotel at all. Get a chef!!! Hotel has a lot of potential but some effort is needed. If you arent passionate about the hotel industry then sell it!

This by far the best hotel in the onderburg area/Nkomazi with special guest trips to Kruger national Park and the history itself manifested in this hotel Im sure even Paul Krugerhad a lekker stay in it, assuredly the GREATEST EVER and leaves off a lot of memories

My partner and I had a bad experience, we booked for a 2night stay. When we arrived on the 1st day, our room was not cleaned /well prepared for us. there were cocroaches and spider web, the room itself nje was in bad condition. It didnt have that hotel look. On the 2nd day, we asked to be moved to another room. To our surprise, the 2nd room was very clean and everything in good condition. Anyway, the place is beautiful it has a nice garden with swimming pools they just need to improve on their rooms and add microwave, iron. They are low standard and yet the price is high

This place is terrible. Its more of a pub or drinking place that happens to have beds. I cancelled my room on arrival after seeing the conditions. It is/was not clean at all. It is right in front of a dusty bustop, I mean that literally.Like I said, if you looking for a spot to drink and never have to drive then it is for you.The booking was made partly on th3 pictures and reviews found o the Internet.Enough said.

One of only a few great bar/hotels in this part of the lowveld. The place is a legend with all the history of this part of the country.

Bad service. I booked a room whn I got there it was given to someone although I paid in advance. Dinner I asker simple Icecream was told its not available.

I was not happy at all. This is not the place to stay if you need rest. They said they have generators for loadshedding, we couldnt shower before leaving for Mozambique

Paid for the pizza night deal on the Friday and was told was sold out . The barman then told me I could take any drink to the same value. He then changed story to no stock . So basically I had 2 draughts for R65 each .........
